Penn State Wilkes Barre senior Khalil White (Cheltenham) surpassed the 1,000-point milestone in the Nittany Lions’ 96-56 win over Five Towns College. The senior guard, who is averaging 14.7 points a game, scored 24 points.
Senior Riley Thompson (Council Rock North) led the way with 25 points on 9-of-14 shooting in Ithaca’s 103-80 Liberty League victory at Vassar College on Saturday. In Friday’s 85-68 win over Bard College, Thompson led all scorers with 25 points on 8-of-17 shooting and 7-of-10 at the free throw line to go along with five rebounds.
Junior Mike Bealer (Souderton) scored 11 points in DeSales University’s 81-76 loss to Old Westbury on Saturday. In DSU’s 81-68 loss to Moravian, senior Tracy Simsick (Souderton) had nine points.
Damien Washington (Upper Moreland) had 11 points and five rebounds in Delaware Valley University’s 94-71 loss to York College on Saturday. In Wednesday’s 90-84 win over Immaculata, Washington – who had 23 points, seven rebounds and three blocked shots in the first half – led all players with 28 points, 11 rebounds and four blocked shots. In Del Val’s 92-90 loss to Hood, Washington notched a double-double with 20 points and 12 rebounds to go along with six assists.
Senior John Ryan (William Tennent) scored a season-high 20 points in Penn State Abington’s 89-81 win over Keuka on Saturday.
Guard Anthony White (Cheltenham) scored a career-high 16 points in IUP’s 80-56 win over East Stroudsburg. The Cheltenham grad came off the bench to shoot 5-of-8 from the floor and 5-of-5 from the foul line in 24 minutes. He went a perfect 5-of-5 in the second half for 11 points as the Crimson Hawks received 30 points from their bench.
West Chester freshman Robbie Heath (Abington) was named the PSAC Athlete of the Week for the week ending Nov. 24 for averaging 21.8 points and 5.5 rebounds in four wins. He went 31-of-36 from the free throw line. Heath dropped in 31 points in WCU’s 82-74 victory over Goldey-Beacom.
Heath had game highs with 28 points and 20 rebounds in No. 25 West Chester’s 83-80 double overtime victory over Mercyhurst on Saturday. It was the first 20-20 game for a West Chester men’s basketball player since 2008. West Chester is off to a 10-0 start this season. In last Saturday’s 95-74 rout of Chestnut Hill, Heath scored a season-high 37 points. Heath, averaging 23.5 per game, has eclipsed 30 points twice over the first eight games of his college career. He shot 11-for-19 from the field, 6-of-10 from three-point range and 9-of-10 from the free throw line. He only turned the ball over once while grabbing five rebounds and handing out four assists in 34 minutes.
Redshirt junior Max Wagner (Pennridge) had 12 points in Bloomsburg’s 94-78 victory over Pitt-Johnstown on Saturday. In Monday’s 96-50 win over Cheyney, Wagner posted a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds.
WOMEN’S BASKETBALL
Junior Lizzie Oleary (Abington) scored eight points in the University of Delaware’s 73-62 win over Robert Morris on Saturday. In the Blue Hens’ 81-80 victory over Santa Clara as part of the Cal State Fullerton Titan Classic, Oleary drained a three-pointer with 13 seconds remaining in overtime to give Delaware an 81-80 lead that held until the final horn. In Delaware’s 72-55 win over Cal State Fullerton, Oleary had eight points.
Taylor O’Brien (Plymouth Whitemarsh) contributed eight points off the bench in Bucknell’s 74-51 victory over George Mason on Wednesday. In Bucknell’s 56-48 victory over Cincinnati in the final game of the Puerto Rico Classic, O’Brien scored seven points and grabbed seven boards.
Lauren Fortescue (Plymouth Whitemarsh) was one of six Sea Gulls in double digits with 14 points in Salisbury’s 74-39 win over Catholic on Tuesday.
University of the Sciences senior Jordan Vitelli (Central Bucks South) was named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Player of
the week for the week ending Nov. 24. It is the second week in a row she received the honor and fourth time she was won the award in her career. Vitelli made 5-of-8 from beyond the arc and 7-of-11 from the field en route to leading all players with 22 points in just 26 minutes in the Devils’ win at Molloy. She also grabbed a team-high seven rebounds. It was the team’s fourth victory over a regionally-ranked team this season. Vitelli is averaging 14.7 points and 5.0 rebounds a game.
Irisa Ye (North Penn) contributed 14 points and a game-high seven rebounds, three assists and two blocks in the No. 23 University of the Sciences 60-45 victory over Georgian Court on Saturday. Vitelli also was in double figures with 11 points. Jess Huber (North Penn) had a career-high five assists and five rebounds. In Tuesday’s 61-56 loss to Holy Family, Ye led all players with a season-best 26 points while Vitelli tied for second highest point total with 21. Ye also tied her career best with four steals while Vitelli pulled down a team-high five rebounds. In last Sunday’s 60-52 loss to unbeaten Adelphia, Vitelli contributed 12 points, seven rebounds, a career-best four assists and three steals. Mikaela Giuliani (North Penn) led all players with three blocks to move into 10th in program history with 68 for her career.
Senior Allison Chernow (Upper Dublin) had 12 points in the final period and finished with 14 in Emory’s 76-72 loss to 19th-ranked Oglethorpe University on Tuesday. In Emory’s 68-46 win over Sewanee, Chernow scored 14 points to go along with four boards, two assists and one block.
Freshman Brooke Mullin (Neshaminy) had six points, two rebounds and one assist in Villanova’s 63-58 win over Georgia.
Junior Lexi Edwards (Central Bucks South) led all scorers with a game high 18 points, including 4-of-4 from beyond the arc in Cabrini’s 86-61 win at Brooklyn College on Saturday. In Cabrini’s 65-59 victory over Middlebury College, Edwards and freshman Miranda Liebtag (Abington) both had eight points. Liebtag also had three assists. In Cabrini’s 86-58 win over Rosemont College, Edwards pace the offense with 14 points and two assists.
Sophomore Emma Stanfield (William Tennent) came off the bench to tally 11 points and pull down seven rebounds in eighth-ranked DeSales University’s 104-66 win over Gwynedd Mercy University on Saturday.
Senior Makenzie Mason (Central Bucks West) had 13 points on 6-of-10 shooting in No. 3 University of Scranton’s 69-48 win over eighth-ranked DeSales on Tuesday. In Scranton’s 78-35 win over Marywood, Mason led the Royals with 18 points on 7-of-12 shooting. She also had seven rebounds. In Scranton’s 78-42 win over Wilkes, Mason had 12 points and six rebounds.
Freshman Alexa Brodie (Central Bucks South) had 10 points in Colgate’s 88-51 win over Siena on Wednesday. In Colgate’s 61-51 loss at St. Louis, Brodie had 10 points, three steals and three assists.
Cassidy Quattro (Hatboro-Horsham) scored a game-high 14 points in Washington College’s 66-31 win over Bryn Mawr on Wednesday. In Washington’s 61-55 loss to Swarthmore, Quattro had a team high nine rebounds.
Arcadia University senior Taylor Dunn (Central Bucks South) was named the MAC Commonwealth Offensive Player of the Week for the first time this season for the week ending Dec. 1. Dunn scored a career-high 32 points on 12-of-19 (63 percent) shooting from the field – which included a near-perfect 6-of-7 showing from beyond the arc – to lead the Knights to a 59-38 victory at Wesley. She also added a team-high eight rebounds and four steals.
Dunn led all scorers with 24 points to go along with four steals in Arcadia’s 55-47 win over Hood College on Saturday. In Wednesday’s 71-58 loss to undefeated Albright, Dunn had 10 points, six assists and nine rebounds.
Lydia Konstanzer (Pennrdige) controlled the paint with a season-high 27 points on 11-of-16 shooting to go with three blocks and nine rebounds in Ursinus College’s 79-64 win over McDaniel on Saturday. She eclipsed the 20-point mark for the third straight game. In Wednesday’s 68-57 win over Swarthmore, Konstanzer had 26 points, seven rebounds and three steals.
Jefferson University senior Alynna Williams (Plymouth Whitemarsh) was named the CACC Player of the Week for the week ending Dec. 1. Williams scored a career-high 37 points versus Shippensburg on 13-of-22 shooting, 8-for-15 from three. She also grabbed six rebounds and dished out four assists. Williams added seven points at East Stroudsburg and shot 42.1 percent (16-for-38) for the week, 40.0 percent (8-for-20) from three.
Freshman Haley Meinel (Central Bucks South) and junior Sabria Lytes (Harry S Truman) each had a double-double in Jefferson University’s 85-76 win over Wilmington (Del.) on Tuesday. Meinel totaled 14 points, 12 rebounds, five assists, four blocks and one steal. Lytes produced 16 points and 13 boards. Williams scored 17 points and added four rebounds and three assists. In last Sunday’s 70-49 loss to East Stroudsburg, Williams had seven points and Lytes corralled six rebounds and blocked three shots. In Jefferson’s 87-85 win over Shippensburg, Williams scored a career-high 37 points. Meinel added 14 points on 6-of-10 shooting. She had six boards, three steals, two blocks and two assists.
Gwynedd Mercy University freshman Tamia Wessels (Abington) earned Atlantic East Women’s Basketball Defensive Player of the Week honors for the week ending Dec. 1. Wessels led the defense with a season-high five steals and six rebounds in just 20 minutes in the Griffins’ 91-86 victory over John Jay. The freshman also added 11 points on 5-of-9 shooting, adding a pair of assists. She had multiple steals in each of her last five games.
Wessels had 11 points and Cayla Sharkey (North Penn) added 10 in Gwynedd Mercy’s 104-66 loss to No. 8/9 DeSales University on Saturday. In Wednesday’s 73-71 loss at Wilkes, Sharkey had seven rebounds. In the Griffins’ 91-86 win over John Jay, freshman Haley Crossley (William Tennent) had 13 points and Wessels added 11. Sharkey shared the team lead with seven rebounds.
Devan Rimmer (Pennridge) scored 30 points in Widener University’s 90-85 double overtime victory over Alvernia on Saturday. The Pennridge graduate connected on 6-of-13 three-pointers, her second consecutive game with six treys. She also had six assists and three steals. In Widener’s 84-51 win over Lebanon Valley, Rimmer scored 24 points, connecting on 9-of-12 shots overall and 6-for-8 from beyond the arc. She now has 1,289 points in her career and moved into seventh place on the Widener all-time scoring list. In Widener’s 73-51 victory against Neumann, Rimmer scored 19 points and also had four rebounds, a block and two steals.
Sophomore forward Bri Hewlett (North Penn) was one rebound shy of a double-double with 16 points and nine rebounds in Chestnut Hill’s 77-64 win over Goldey-Beacom on Saturday. The North Penn alum made 4-of-6 attempts from beyond the arc. In Tuesday’s 73-67 victory over Georgian Court, Hewlett was 3-of-3 from distance and 7-of-10 overall (.700). She accounted for the Chestnut Hill’s final eight points of the second quarter, giving the Griffins their first lead of the game. Hewlett finished the game with a career-high 17 points.
Gabbi Wright (Cheltenham) scored seven points in Kutztown University’s 83-42 win over Penn State Lehigh Valley last Saturday.
Mia Leonard (Cheltenham) scored eight points in Millersville’s 85-78 win over Edinboro on Saturday.

FOOTBALL
Alvernia University sophomore Malcolm Carey (Bensalem) earned First Team All-MAC honors for the second straight year. The Bensalem graduate led the MAC with 1,034 yards rushing over 10 games. This was the second straight year Carey was a 1,000-yard rusher. Carey scored 14 rushing touchdowns for the Golden Wolves. He averaged 103.4 yards per game and ran for a season-high 212 yards on 24 attempts against FDU-Florham. Carey had two three-touchdown games for the Golden Wolves, reaching the end zone three times against the University of New England and FDU-Florham. Carey broke out for a season-high 75-yard run in week three against Lebanon Valley College.
Wide receiver Branden Mack (Cheltenham) had a 63-yard touchdown reception in Temple’s 49-17 win over the University of Connecticut last Saturday. Mack had five catches for 171 yards and two touchdowns.

Kutztown University senior Savanna Harrison (Pennridge) was named to the 2019 All-PSAC second team. The Pennridge graduate had a
breakout junior season in the midfield. She played and started in 17 of the 18 games this season as central midfielder. Harrison has one goal in her career, tallied last season, and she has played in 53 career games, but her importance to the KU offense and defense could not be underestimated. She will be back next year as a senior to help solidify the midfield.

Sophomore Ryan Hartmann (North Penn) posted PSAC qualifying times in both the 200 IM (1:58.67) and 100 free (49.42) in IUP’s 114-88 loss to Gannon on Friday.
Ridge Hagar (North Penn) was part of Messiah’s third place 200 medley relay team that posted a time of 1:36.26 and third place 800 free relay that finished with a time of 7:14.43 at the Gettysburg Invitational on Saturday. Hagar finished fifth in the 200 butterfly with a time of 2:01.12. On Friday, Hagar swam a season best 1:58.32 in the 200 individual medley to finish fourth.
Shippensburg senior Jeff Beyer (Wisssahickon) pulled off the seemingly impossible and tied someone in the 1,650-yard freestyle, picking up his conference qualifier for the season and swam a strong season best of 16:25.94 that gave him a tie for third place at the 2019 Bomber Invitational on Sunday at Ithaca. On Friday, Beyer scored in the 500-yard freestyle, posting a time of 4:41.75 for a sixth place finish.
La Salle freshman Sam Henninger (Abington) was named Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week for the week ending Dec. 1. Henninger placed first in the 3-meter dive with a score of 302.93 in the Explorers meet against Villanova. He has won that event in four of his last five meets.
Henninger finished third in the 1-meter diving with a score of 298.40 points at the Bucknell Invitational on Friday.
Bloomsburg senior Corey Smith (North Penn) posted a PSAC qualifying time of 4:10.37 in the prelims of the 400 IM at the Zippy Invitational hosted by Akron University on Saturday.
WOMEN’S SWIMMING
Arcadia senior Rachel Samson (Council Rock North) continued her strong start to the season with a fourth place finish in the 200 butterfly (2:19.82) on the final day of the West Chester Invitational.
Shippensburg sophomore Natalie Wiley (Bensalem) finished sixth in the 100-yard individual medley with a time of 1:05.77 at the 2019 Bomber Invitational on Sunday at Ithaca College. On Saturday, Wiley was 12th in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:09.66.
La Salle sophomore Phoebe Shaya (Council Rock South) was named Atlantic 10 Conference Swimming and Diving Performer of the Week for the week ending Dec. 1. The Rock South graduate won both the 1-meter and 3-meter diving events in La Salle’s meet against Villanova. She topped the competition in the 1-meter dive with a score of 255.98 and the 3-meter dive with a tally of 271.35.
Shaya placed third in the 1-meter dive with a score of 247.85 at the Bucknell Invitational on Saturday. On Friday at the Bucknell Invitational, the Rock South alum placed second in the 3-meter with a point total of 249.85.
Bloomsburg senior Deanna Shuster (Pennsbury) swam a time of 1:01.50 in the 100 backstroke prelims to earn a PSAC qualifying time at the Zippy Invitational hosted by Akron University on Saturday.
MEN’S INDOOR TRACK & FIELD
Saint Joseph’s sophomore Javier Linares (Pennsbury) was part of the second place 4×800 relay that posted a time of 7:49.99 at the Fastrack Season Opener on Friday. Sophomore Michael Welde (Council Rock North) won his 400m heat to place fourth overall in a field of 55 with a time of 49.95. He won his 200m heat to place 13th overall in a field of 72 with a time of 22.74. Sophomore Dan Mink (Pennsbury) placed sixth in the 800m with a time of 1:59.64, and sophomore Aidan Sauer (Pennsbury) finished eighth in the 1000m with a time of 2:34.58, improving on his best time from last year by over two seconds. Freshman Ladi Bamgbose (Pennsbury) took the top freshman spot in the 400m, placing eighth in the 55-man field with a time of 50.40.
Ursinus junior Griffin McMann (Pennridge) won the shot put with a personal best 48-4.00 at the Bow Tie Invitational on Friday. Brody Johnson (Central Bucks West) finished third in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.77.
Shippensburg redshirt sophomore and reigning All-American Shamar Jenkins (Souderton) paced the Raiders in both the long jump (22 feet, 3 ¾ inches) and the triple jump (47 feet, 1 inch), placing fourth and second respectively at the Bison Opener on the campus of Bucknell University on Saturday.
Gwynedd Mercy University sophomore Elijah Rizzo (Pennsbury) hit a PR in the high jump and landed the top mark in the event in all of Division II at the Bow Tie Invitational hosted by Ursinus College. Rizzo cleared 2.05 meters, which currently stands as the best performance so far. The sophomore cleared the mark in his first attempt and looked to improve at 2.08 meters, but his three tries were unsuccessful. Freshman Ilya Soulaimanov (Council Rock North) competed in three events. He placed second in the 500 meters (1:17.00), eighth in the 60 meters (7.82) and sixth in the 200 meters (28.23).
WOMEN’S INDOOR TRACK & FIELD
Ursinus junior Michela Coleman (Wissahickon) finished second in the 500 meters with a time of 1:23.55 at the Bow Tie Invitational on Friday. Rachel Coleman (Wissahickon) won the 300m dash in 44.14 seconds and took the leadoff leg of the winning relay where she was followed by her twin sister Michela.
Gwynedd Mercy senior Sara Gray (William Tennent) won the high jump with a top mark of 1.60 meters at the season-opening Bow Tie Invitational at Ursinus College on Friday. The mark is ranked in the top three in Division III so far. Sophomore Emily Stewart (Upper Dublin) was first in the 800 meters in a time of 2:39.02. Alyson Sharkey (North Penn) was fourth in the long jump in her long jump debut, measuring out at 4:35 meters. Freshman Bridget D’Arcy (Central Bucks West) scored team points in the 200 meters (29.81) where she was eighth. Anneliese Zazyczny (Central Bucks East) competed in the 60 meters, posting a time of 10.87.
La Salle sophomore Arianna Wallace (Cheltenham) was victorious in the 800-meter run at the Haverford Holiday Meet on Saturday, defeating eight others with a time of 2:29.36. Freshman Jenna Smith (Plymouth Whitemarsh) finished third in the 200-meter dash with a time of 27.94. Smith also was part of the first place 4x200m relay that posted a time of 1:50.10.
WRESTLING
Jackson Erb (Neshaminy) earned a major decision with an 11-3 win at 149 in Millersville’s 27-18 loss to Mercyhurst on Friday. Erb’s 2019 record is 4-4, including two falls and two major decisions.
