MEN’S BASKETBALL
Freshman Damien Washington (Upper Moreland) posted a double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds in Delaware Valley University’s 70-63 loss to FDU-Florham on Saturday. In Wednesday’s 78-61 win over Manhattanville College, Washington had 15 points. In last Saturday’s 65-57 loss to Misericordia, Washington tallied 12 points.
Josh McDaniel (Council Rock North) scored 26 points to lead McDaniel to a 78-71 loss to Haverford on Saturday. In Thursday’s 72-53 win over Washington College, McDaniel led the Green Terror with 21 points. In last Saturday’s 60-54 loss to Swarthmore, McDaniel led four players in double figures with 16 points.
Junior Evan Slone (Souderton) had eight points and led all players with 10 rebounds in Arcadia’s 61-58 loss to Alvernia on Saturday. In Wednesday’s 69-60 victory over Lebanon Valley, Slone had eight points.
Sophomore Tracy Simsick (Souderton) and freshman Mike Bealer (Souderton) both scored nine points in DeSales University’s 96-68 rout of King’s on Saturday. Bealer connected on 3-of-4 shots from beyond the arc. Senior Steve Ciotti (Pennsbury) had six points and five assists. In Thursday’s 72-67 win over Wilkes, Simsick scored 14 points. In DeSales’ 64-56 win over Manhattanville College, Simsick stuffed a stat sheet with 14 points, six rebounds, five assists, four steals and three blocked shots. Ciotti clinched the win with a driving layup to put DeSales up 61-56 with 36 seconds left.
Guard Jimmy Murray (Plymouth Whitemarsh) scored 13 points and contributed a career-high seven assists to go along with four rebounds in Moravian College’s 96-84 win over Juniata College on Saturday. Murray was recognized prior to the game for joining the 1,000-point club a week earlier. In Wednesday’s 96-55 win over Goucher College, Murray tossed in a team-high 19 points to go along with four rebounds and three assists. In last Saturday’s 99-81 victory over Elizabethtown, Murray eclipsed the 1,000-point milestone for his career. He needed 24 points to reach the mark and scored 23 in the first half. He passed the milestone on a 3-pointer just 1:14 into the second half to become the 23rd Greyhound to reach the 1,000-point mark. He finished with a career-high 34 points that included a 6-for-6 performance beyond the 3-point line as he moved into fourth in school history with 146 career 3-pointers.
Sophomore Riley Thompson (Council Rock North) scored a team-high 22 points, which included four 3-pointers, in Ithaca’s 91-82 win over St. Lawrence University on Saturday. In Friday’s 83-78 win over Clarkson University, Thompson notched 17 points. In last Saturday’s 83-76 setback at the hands of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Thompson posted his first career double-double with 20 points on 7-of-16 shooting from the field to go along with 11 rebounds.
Matt Penecale (Abington) had 15 points on 3-of-4 shooting from the field to go along with a team-high seven assists in 28 minutes in West Chester’s 109-88 win over Kutztown last Saturday. In West Chester’s 107-63 rout of Millersville, Penecale tallied 14 points (6-of-6) and seven assists.
Amir Hinton (Abington) had 13 points, five rebounds and four assists in Lock Haven’s 81-68 loss to No. 14 Shippensburg on Saturday. In Wednesday’s 118-102 loss to East Stroudsburg, Hinton scored 39 points on 12-for-19 shooting from the field and 12-for-12 from the line. He also had eight rebounds and four assists. In last Saturday’s 85-77 loss at Bloomsburg, Hinton had 18 points, five rebounds and four assists. In Lock Haven’s 75-64 win over Mansfield, Hinton had a game-high 22 points, 14 in the second half. He also had eight rebounds.
Sophomore John Ryan (William Tennent) collected a double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds in Penn State Abington’s 86-77 win over the college of Saint Elizabeth on Wednesday. In last Sunday’s 102-74 loss to NEAC North power Morrisville State, Ryan had 16 points and four steals. In the Nittany Lions’ 78-75 win over Cazenovia, Ryan led the way with 18 points and three steals.
Junior Mekhi Bryant (Pennsbury) contributed seven points and six rebounds in Holy Family’s 63-56 loss to Nyack College on Saturday. In last Saturday’s 69-61 loss to Caldwell, Bryant scored eight points and dished out a season-high nine assists.
Senior Zach Quattro (Hatboro-Horsham) had a game-high 21 points and added eight rebounds while connecting on 9-of-18 from the field in Ursinus College’s 63-59 loss to Dickinson on Saturday. In Wednesday’s 84-62 loss to No. 11 Swarthmore, Quattro had 10 points, all in the first half, and added six rebounds. In last Saturday’s 87-72 win over Washington College, Quattro scored 20 of his career-high 27 points in the first half. He finished 10-for-16 from the floor and added five assists and three steals. In the Bears’ 80-77 loss at No. 23 Franklin & Marshall, Quattro finished with 12 points.
Redshirt junior Anthony Lee (Abington) scored 20 points and also had three steals in Kutztown’s 77-71 win over Mansfield on Saturday. Lee scored 13 first half points on 6-of-8 shooting from the field. Max Wagner (Pennridge) had nine points, six rebounds and one block. In last Saturday’s 108-99 loss to West Chester, Lee tallied a new career high with 38 points. He scored 25 of his game-high 38 in the second half, shooting 8-for-16 from the field and 5-for-10 from beyond the arc. He also was 4-of-7 at the free throw line in the second half. In KU’s 76-71 win at Bloomsburg, Lee, who played all 40 minutes, tallied 15 points, seven rebounds, three assists, one block and one steal. Wagner finished with eight points and six rebounds.
WOMEN’S BASKETBALL
Albright senior Alysha Lofton (Central Bucks South) earned the MAC Commonwealth Player of the Week
Award for the week ending Jan. 28. Lofton recorded the first triple-double in recent memory for Albright with 15 points on 5-of-10 shooting from the field, along with 11 rebounds and a career-high 10 assists in Albright’s 76-61 win over Stevenson University. The 10 assists were the most in a game for a Lions’ player since 2011, and Lofton also added five steals. The win over the Mustangs helped Albright become the first team this season to clinch a berth in the MAC Commonwealth Tournament. Lofton started the week with a strong performance in Albright’s 72-50 win over Arcadia. She scored 16 points on 6-of-11 shooting from the field while also pulling down seven rebounds. She averaged 15.5 points, 9.0 rebounds and 5.5 assists per game in the two wins and shot over 50 percent from the field. Lofton ranks third among MAC Commonwealth teams in scoring with 14.7 points per game and is tied for third with 4.1 assists per game. She also ranks seventh in rebounding at 7.8 per game while ranking first in steals with 2.8 and third with 1.8 blocks per game. This is the sixth time in her Albright career that Lofton has earned player of the week honors and fourth time this season.
Lofton registered a team-high 11 rebounds along with eight points, five assists, two steals and two blocks in Albright’s 65-57 loss to #16/#19 Messiah on Saturday. The loss snapped an 11-game winning streak. In Thursday’s 69-56 win over Alvernia, Lofton tied for the team lead with 16 points. She also had eight rebounds, six assists and four steals in the win. In last Saturday’s 71-54 road win over Lebanon Valley, Lofton tallied her fifth double-double of the season with 13 points on 5-of-9 shooting from the field and 10 rebounds. In Albright’s 81-47 win over Hood, Lofton recorded 17 points, nine rebounds (six offensive), three steals, two assists and one block.
Redshirt sophomore Alynna Williams (Plymouth Whitemarsh) had a game-high 22 points to go along with four rebounds and four assists in Jefferson University’s 68-56 win over Bloomfield on Saturday. In Wednesday’s 56-51 loss to the No. 18 University of the Sciences, Williams scored a game-high 21 points. She connected on 7-of-12 shots, including 5-of-5 from 3-point range. She also grabbed six rebounds and had two assists. In last Saturday’s 63-62 win over Felician, redshirt junior Erin Maher (North Penn) had 17 points. Williams scored 12 points, including the final crucial two. In Jefferson’s 83-63 win over Washington Adventist, Williams finished with 22 points, five assists and four rebounds in 33 minutes of action. In Jefferson’s 86-55 win over Georgian Court, Maher and Williams both had 12. Maher also had 11 rebounds and three assists, and Williams grabbed five rebounds with three assists. Freshman Sabria Lytes (Harry S Truman) also chipped in with nine points.
Makenzie Mason (Central Bucks West) netted 14 points, four rebounds and two blocks in the University of Scranton’s 62-43 victory over Catholic University on Saturday. In last Saturday’s 62-45 win over Juniata, Mason had 12 points and three assists. In Scranton’s 75-70 win over Moravian, Mason had 13 points, five rebounds, four assists and two blocks.
Sophomore Taylor Dunn (Central Bucks South) scored a game-high 22 points and also had eight rebounds in Arcadia’s 62-52 win over Alvernia on Saturday. In Wednesday’s 66-52 loss to Lebanon Valley, Dunn had 13 points. In last Saturday’s 66-49 loss to Lycoming, Dunn scored a team-high 19 points.
Jordan Vitelli (Central Bucks South) had nine points and Irisa Ye (North Penn) had eight in the University of the Sciences 67-56 win over Post. Vitelli made three 3-pointers to move into fourth in the program’s single-season history with 63 this season. The win was the 16th consecutive, tying a program record. In Wednesday’s 56-51 win over No. 25 Jefferson University, Ye connected on a pair of free throws to seal the win. The freshman guard matched a career high with 15 points on 6-of-8 shooting in 20 minutes off the bench. In last Saturday’s 81-56 win over Concordia, Vitelli had 12 points, which included a 3-for-5 shooting effort from beyond the arc. In USciences’ 89-47 win over Wilmington, Vitelli and freshman Jess Huber (North Penn) each made 5-of-7 3-pointers en route to 15 points. Vitelli also had five rebounds. In USciences’ 66-56 win over Caldwell, Vitelli had 15 points, 11 of which came in the second half.
Junior Nicole Munger (Central Bucks West) had nine points in the University of Michigan’s 84-63 win over Northwestern on Thursday.
Allison Chernow (Upper Dublin) had nine points and three rebounds in Emory’s 72-63 loss to the University of Chicago.
Aigner Bookard (Cheltenham) scored 11 points in Cairn University’s 54-45 loss to Immaculata on Wednesday. In Tuesday’s 73-55 loss to Valley Forge University, Bookard tallied 14 points and five rebounds. In Cairn’s 69-47 win over Notre Dame (Md.), Bookard tied her season high with 21 points. In the Highlanders 69-41 win over Bryn Mawr, Bookard led the team with 15 points and three assists.
Lexi Edwards (Central Bucks South) scored nine points in Cabrini’s 80-63 win over Rosemont College on Saturday. The win was the team’s 19th in a row.
Edwards was named to the CSAC Women’s Basketball Weekly Honor Roll for the week ending Jan. 21. Edwards shot a blistering 11-for-15 from the field, including 6-for-7 from 3-point range to lead Cabrini to a 74-69 win at Marywood. The rookie finished the game with a career-best 31 points to go with five boards and three steals as Cabrini stayed perfect in CSAC play.
Senior Alexis Hofstaedter (Council Rock South) contributed 12 points and a career-high 10 assists to record her first career double-double in Holy Family’s 75-55 win over Nyack College on Saturday. In Wednesday’s 76-69 win over Goldey-Beacom College, Hofstaedter finished with 17 points to go along with six rebounds and a game-high eight assists. In last Saturday’s 65-60 loss to Caldwell, Hofstaedter contributed nine points and a game-high nine assists.
Senior Kaitlin Kelly (Pennsbury) had 14 points, including four 3-pointers, in DeSales University’s 89-46 win over Wilkes University on Thursday.

In last Saturday’s 46-41 loss to Ursinus, Quattro had a team-high 11 points to go along with three steals. In Washington College’s 76-48 loss to Haverford, Quattro had seven points.
Senior Michael Harris (Abington) had 14 points in American University’s 69-56 win over Loyola Maryland on Wednesday.
Freshman Lizzie Oleary (Abington) contributed six points, three rebounds and three steals in Delaware’s 68-59 win over William & Mary on Friday.
Sajanna Bethea (Pennsbury) had 15 points and six rebounds in St. Peter’s 62-52 loss to Rider on Friday. In Monday’s 52-49 loss to Canisius, Bethea had seven points and a team-best seven rebounds.
Sophomore Lydia Konstanzer (Pennridge) posted game-highs of 23 points and 12 rebounds in Ursinus College’s 58-48 victory at Dickinson on Saturday. She connected on 8-of-15 from the field and 7-of-10 at the foul line in posting her sixth straight double-double and eighth in nine games. The Centennial Conference’s steal leader also added three steals. In Tuesday’s 79-53 win over Swarthmore, Konstanzer posted the 20th double-double of her career with 10 points and 10 rebounds in a rout-shortened 17 minutes. In last Saturday’s 46-41 win at Washington College, Konstanzer finished with 11 points and 12 rebounds to go with four steals. In the Bears’ 74-58 win over Franklin & Marshall, Konstanzer had 24 points and 11 rebounds.
Allison Gallagher (Souderton) scored six points in Widener’s 55-43 win over Hood College on Saturday. In Thursday’s 67-51 loss to No. 16/19 Messiah, Gallagher fell just short of a double-double with 14 points and nine rebounds. In last Saturday’s 77-73 double overtime victory against Stevenson University, Devan Rimmer (Pennridge) had 22 points, and Gallagher scored 13 points and had four rebounds. In Widener’s 74-65 loss to Lebanon Valley, Rimmer had a game-high 22 points. Gallagher added 13 points.

Sophomore Ogden Leyens (Upper Dublin) finished third in the 500 free in Gettysburg’s 165-93 victory over Franklin & Marshall on Saturday. In last Saturday’s 133-129 loss to Swarthmore, Leyens captured first place in the 100 free with a time of 48.03 and also was part of the winning 200 medley relay (1:35.24).
Junior Travis Venables (Pennsbury) took home top honors in the 50 free with a time of 21.92 in Ursinus College’s 115-85 win over Washington College last Saturday, finishing .01 ahead of second place Cody Weiler. Junior Maxwell Coulter (Pennridge) was part of the winning 400 medley free that broke the pool record with a time of 3:32.89.
Penn State freshman Dale Johnson (Central Bucks West) advanced to a pair of A finals at the Ohio State Winter Invitational on Saturday, placing eighth in the 100 fly (50.98) and 10th in the 100 back (53.08). His twin brother, Brad Johnson (Central Bucks West), was eighth in the 100 breast (55.88).
Bloomsburg sophomore Deanna Shuster (Pennsbury) posted a pair of victories at the John A. Pidgeon Memorial Invitational hosted by IUP last Saturday. The Pennsbury graduate finished first in the 100 backstroke with a time of 1:01.21. Shuster won the 200 backstroke with a time of 2:12.38.

Senior Jules Marble (Springfield Township) placed third in the 100 back with a time of 1:05.36 in Gettysburg’s 118-85 win over Dickinson on Wednesday.
Eve Kosten (North Penn) finished second in the 50 freestyle in the University of Buffalo’s 223-58 win over Cleveland State last Saturday.
Sophomore Margrethe Leis (Springfield Township) won the 200 free with a season best 2:01.24 in Ursinus College’s 103-64 win over Bryn Mawr on Saturday. Freshman Rebecca Warren (Council Rock North) nabbed first in the 50 free with a time of 26.37. She also was part of the winning 200 free relay that posted a time of 1:43.13. Katelyn Moore (Hatboro-Horsham) finished second in the 200 IM. In last Saturday’s 120-75 win over Washington College, Leis was third in the 200 free (2:02.13).
La Salle junior Olivia DiStefano (North Penn) recorded the top time in the 50 backstroke (27.32) at the Villanova Spring Fest on Saturday.
Shippensburg freshman Alison McLaughlin (North Penn) finished first in the 500 free with a time of 5:31.26 at the ESU Invitational last Saturday. Senior Bridget Perdoch (Pennsbury) finished second in the 100 breast with a time of 1:12.72. Perdoch has already qualified in this event with a season-best time of 1:10.16 at the F&M Invitational on Nov. 19.
MEN’S INDOOR TRACK & FIELD
St. Joseph’s freshman Matthew Scarpill (Central Bucks South) ran a season-best mile time of 4:16.32 to post the second fastest performance by a freshman and finished 11th in the mile invitational section of 25 runners at the unscored Fastrack National Qualifier on Friday.
Ursinus sophomore Logan Mazullo (Central Bucks West) posted a time of 4:47.10 in the mile at the NYU Invitational on Friday. At last weekend’s annual Frank Colden Invitational, freshman Griffin McMann (Pennridge) finished sixth in the shot put.
Freshman Austin Howell (Pennridge) was part of Shippensburg’s fourth place 4x400m relay that posted a time of 3:21.16 at the Fastrack National Invitational on Saturday. All four men were timed with splits of 50.4 seconds or better. Howell’s time of 50.31 in the 400 open was a PSAC qualifying time. At the Bucknelll Tune-Up on Friday, senior Alex Balla (Quakertown) ran the fastest 3,000m time in the PSAC, earning his league qualifier by finishing second to a runner from Lehigh with a time of 8:37.94. At last weekend’s Youngstown State Mid-Major Invitational, Howell was part of the 4x400m relay that finished fifth in 3:20.75.
Chris Laskowski (William Tennent) and Joe McCoy (Neshaminy) were part of Gwynedd Mercy’s 4×200 relay that placed second with an ECAC qualifying time of 1:33.82 at the Frank Colden Invitational on Saturday.
La Salle graduate student Fran Ferruzzi (Upper Dublin) placed seventh in the 800 meters with a time of 1:52.30 at the Villanova Invitational last Saturday.
Widener freshman Matt Ludlow (Pennridge) finished in 10th place in the triple jump with a leap of 12.50 meters at the NYU Invitational on Friday. In last weekend’s Frank Colden Invitational, Ludlow earned a first place finish, clearing 6.62 meters in the long jump. He also finished second in the triple jump with a jump of 12.93 meters.
Kutztown senior Jhaloni Johnson (Springfield Township) broke an 18-year record in the 200m at the Fastrack National Invitational on Saturday. He won his heat and finished in second place in 21.72 seconds, breaking Keith Crowell’s record from 2000 by .06 seconds. It is Johnson’s second school record along with the outdoor 4×100 relay. It was also an NCAA Provisional mark, the first of the year for Johnson. Senior Brandon Raguz (Central Bucks South) posted an existing NCAA provisional mark in the pole vault, clearing 15-9 to finish in seventh place. Cameron Christopher (Wissahickon) led the way in the 800m in 21st overall in 1:58.61. Ryan Benner (Pennridge) posted a time of 23.14 in the 200m to finish 24th. At last weekend’s Susquehanna Challenge, Christopher posted his first PSAC time of the year in the 800m. He finished in third place and led four Golden Bears in the event at 2:00.09. Obi Ogbonna (Harry S Truman) finished sixth in the 60m. He posted his best time in the prelims at 8.74 where he won his heat. Benner finished 10th in the 200m with a time of 24.21.
Bloomsburg sophomore Matthew Hart (Pennsbury) was a double-PSAC qualifier at the Bucknell University Tune-Up on Friday, posting conference marks in both the weight throw and shot put. Hart finished fifth overall in the weight throw with a mark of 15.53 meters and then finished eighth in the shot put with a toss of 13.52 meters. James Wilson (Central Bucks South) got under the conference standard in the 800m run after crossing the finish line in 1:59.63 to place fifth overall. Austin Kline (Central Bucks West) posted a time of 22.98 in the 200m dash to finish fourth overall. It was his best mark of the year in the event. At last Saturday’s Youngstown State Mid-Major Invitational, Kline got under the conference standard in both the 400m dash and 200m dash. He placed ninth in the 400 with a time of 50.49 and took 20th overall in the 200 after crossing the finish line in 23.09. Wilson took 16th in the 800m run with a conference-qualifying time of 1:59.14. On Friday at the Youngstown State Mid-Major Invitational, Kline finished third in the 500m dash with a time of 1:06.87. Wilson placed fourth, crossing the finish line in 1:09.11.
East Stroudsburg freshman Jordan Duncan-Murphy (Bensalem) booked his spot at the conference meet after ranking second out of 53 runners in the 200m at the 19th annual DeSchriver Invitational last Saturday.
WOMEN’S INDOOR TRACK & FIELD
Elizabethtown senior Kelsey Brady (Council Rock South) placed third in her section of the mile at the NYU DIII Invite and ran her fastest mile since the 2017 Landmark Indoor Championships on Feb. 25, 2017. Brady posted a time of 5:02.34 and was less than a half a second away from setting a new school record, taking several seconds off her mile time and finishing third overall. At the Susquehanna University Challenge last Saturday, Brady won the fast section of the 800m with a time of 2:21.80.
Monmouth junior Allison Taub (Council Rock South) finished third in the shot put with a mark of 47’6” at the Fastrack National Invite on Friday. In last Saturday’s Villanova Invitational, Taub placed second in the shot put with a toss of 46’2”.
Duquesne junior Elizabeth Morris (Central Bucks East) won the 5,000-meter run with a mark of 17:33.28 at the Youngstown State Mid-Major Invitational. Junior Shannon Taub (Council Rock South) won the pentathlon with a score of 331.3 with first place marks in the 800-meter run (2:41.53), high jump (1.63m) and the shot put (12.18m).
Lebanon Valley junior Hannah Kramlik (Pennridge) etched her name on LVC’s all-time top-10 list for her time of 19:17.58 in the 5000m at the NYU Invitational on Friday, which was good enough to rank sixth all-time.
St. Joseph’s sophomore Meredith Twomey (Pennsbury) finished first in a field of 32 in the 3000m race with a time of 10:45.69 at the unscored Frank Colden Invitational at Ursinus College last weekend. It was her fourth 3000m of the season and the first victory of her collegiate career.
Freshman Michela Coleman (Wissahickon) was part of Ursinus College’s 4x400m relay that claimed first place with a time of 4:06.72 at the NYU Invitational on Friday. It is the top time in the Centennial Conference. Coleman shot up 11 spots to second in the CC with a personal best 26.93 in the 100-yard dash. She finished in sixth place and topped her previous low time by 1.01 seconds. Junior Riley Engel (Council Rock North) posted a new personal best in the 800 with a time of 2:31.59 – more than a second faster than her previous record and over four seconds clear of her former indoor best. At last weekend’s Frank Colden Invitational, Coleman was part of he 4x400m relay that finished nearly 16 seconds ahead of the runners-up. Engel crossed the line in a conference-qualifying time of 11:05.95 in the 3k.
Senior Lindsay Sheehan (Pennridge) was part of Shippensburg’s sixth place 4×400 relay that posted a season best time of 3:57.77 at the Fastrack National Invitational on Saturday. At Friday’s Bucknell Tune-Up, junior Jackie Kinkead (Central Bucks East) picked up a 3K qualifying time of 10:41.60.
Kutztown junior Stephanie Bresadola (North Penn) just missed a personal best time in the mile, finishing at 5:15.51, 00:26 behind her best mark, at the Fastrack National Invitational on Friday.
West Chester junior Allison King (North Penn) finished in 12th in the 400 meters with a time of 58.85 seconds at the Fastrack National Invitational on Friday. In last weekend’s DeSchriver Invitational hosted by East Stroudsburg, Caroline DiJosia (Plymouth Whitemarsh) finished fifth in the 55m hurdles with a time of 9.10 seconds. Courtney Taylor (Central Bucks South) finished 13th in the 55m dash with a time of 7.62 seconds while Cara Jackson (Souderton) finished just behind her in 14th with a time of 7.64 seconds. At the Villanova Invitational last weekend, King was part of the 4x400m relay that finished eighth. Emily Magnant (Hatboro-Horsham) took 11th in the 60m hurdles preliminaries.
Bloomsburg freshman Kathleen Stevenson (North Penn) finished fifth overall with a PSAC qualifying mark of 5.37 meters at the Bucknell University Tune-Up on Friday. Jessica Brenfleck (North Penn) was part of the fourth place 4x400m relay with a time of 4:17.28. In last Saturday’s Youngstown State Mid-Major Invitational, Stevenson was part of the fifth place 4x400m relay with a time of 4:01.94. Last Friday, Stevenson placed 11th with a mark of 5.19 in the long jump.
East Stroudsburg junior Leiana Dean (North Penn) posted a new PSAC qualifying time of 1:00.42 in the 400m at the Fastrack National Invitational on Friday. In last Saturday’s DeSchriver Invitational, junior Victoria Matthews (Abington) was part of the first place 4x400m relay (4:03.99).
WRESTLING
Gettysburg sophomore Colin Devlin (Upper Dublin) was named the Centennial Conference Wrestler of the Week for the week ending Jan. 28. Devlin turned in a perfect 3-0 record against Centennial foes. In a dual with McDaniel College, the sophomore put the Bullets in front in the team scoring with a second-period fall against his 149-pound opponent. He added two more wins over the weekend, erasing an 8-0 deficit to win 9-8 against Washington and Lee University and then tacking on a major decision (11-3) against Johns Hopkins University. Devlin, who received his first weekly award from the conference, was 14-7 with five pins and two major decisions through Jan. 28.
Devlin finished third at 149 at the Centennial Wrestling Championships hosted by Washington and Lee University on Saturday. In last Saturday’s 24-14 win over Ursinus, Devlin posted a takedown and back points to edge Donte McCarthy 9-6 at 149.
Elizabethtown senior Philip Torresani (Hatboro-Horsham) was one of six seniors honored prior to last Friday’s 45-6 win over King’s College. The Hatboro-Horsham alum was injured during a match at the Pete Wilson-Wheaton Invitational. King’s ceded three of the first four weight classes, and Torresani hobbled out to have his hand raised at 149 for the 75th career victory – the previous 74 all coming at 125 pounds.
Mikey O’Brien (North Penn) earned a 12-5 decision at 157 in Kutztown University’s 25-16 win over Millersville on Friday. Jeff Reimel (North Penn) continues to show a flair for the dramatic at 184, pinning Millersville’s Evan Morrill less than two minutes into the bout. Reimel has now won five in a row, posting bonus points in all five matches and pinning three of those five opponents. In KU’s 34-4 win over East Stroudsburg, O’Brien recorded a 10-6 decision at 157, and Reimel won his fourth consecutive bout at 184, shutting out Paul Rallis, 8-0.
Bruce Graeber (Neshaminy) earned a 6-2 decision at 285 pounds in Bloomsburg’s 21-12 loss to Binghamton on Sunday. In Bloomsburg’s 23-15 win over Cleveland State, Graeber won by a 12-2 major decision.
Redshirt sophomore Francesco Palagruto (Plymouth Whitemarsh) won by decision at 141 at East Stroudsburg’s 25-19 win at Shippensburg.
