Brennan Snyder (Central Bucks West) had an RBI single in a four-run second inning in Elizabethtown’s 14-5 loss to York (Pa.) on Monday. In last Sunday’s 3-2 loss to Penn State Harrisburg, Snyder contributed an RBI single.
Mason Nadeau (North Penn) contributed an RBI double in Penn State’s 5-3 win over NJIT last Saturday.
Ben Spadea (Pennsbury) threw a scoreless inning in Cairn University’s 9-6 win over Messiah in Fort Pierce, Fla.
Timothy Brodhag (William Tennent) hit a two-run double and Jake Goldberg (Pennsbury) threw three scoreless innings to close out the game for the save in Jefferson University’s 9-2 win in game two of a doubleheader split with Nyack last Saturday. In the Rams’ 19-9 loss to Winston-Salem State, Brodhag went 3-for-5 with a two-run home run in Jefferson University’s 19-9 loss to Winston-Salem State.
Junior Nick Ponente (Council Rock South) drove in a run with a sacrifice fly in Arcadia’s 6-5 loss to Stevens Tech on Saturday afternoon. In last Sunday’s 8-5 win over Lebanon Valley, Ponente had a two-run single and had a pair of hits. In last Saturday’s 5-3 win over Lebanon Valley in game one of a doubleheader sweep, freshman Brett Moyer (Souderton) had an RBI single. In Arcadia’s 4-1 win over Lebanon Valley in game two, Ponente had an RBI. In Arcadia’s 8-7 win over Nichols, Ponente drove in a run, and freshman Matt Ernst (Central Bucks East) singled, stole second and scored a run.
Junior Brett Guaglionona (Abington) was 2-for-5 with three RBIs and two runs scored in Penn State Abington’s 17-2 win over New Rochelle in game two of a doubleheader sweep. Freshman Ryan McCarty (Pennsbury) earned the win on the mound, allowing six hits and one earned run in six innings.
Anthony Rigous (Council Rock North) hit a home run and drove in five runs in IUP’s two wins over Lock Haven and Bloomsburg during the team’s trip to Salisbury, N.C.
Junior David Drea (Central Bucks South) tossed seven strong innings to lead Ursinus College to a 7-1 win over Penn State Berks in game two of a doubleheader split last Sunday. The Pennridge graduate struck out six and walked three in his second career complete game, limiting Berks to four singles. Freshman Jerry Scavone (Neshaminy) led off the second with a base hit, stole second and moved up to third on a single, eventually scoring on a passed ball with two outs. Carter Usowski (Central Bucks East) went 2-for-4 with an RBI, a run scored and a steal.
Freshman Ian Kacergis (Pennridge) earned the win in relief in DeSales University’s 10-6 win over FDU-Florham last Sunday in game two of a doubleheader split.
Dave Tatoian (Pennridge) was 2-for-5 with a two-run home run, a triple and two runs scored in Gwynedd Mercy’s 10-7 loss to Haverford on Monday. Shaughn Wright (Pennsbury) had an RBI double, and Nick Mulvey (Bensalem) walked three times to tie a career high. In the Russmatt Central Florida Invitational, Wright had a pair of hits in Gwynedd Mercy’s 10-3 loss to Concordia. In Gwynedd Mercy’s 6-5 win over Central (IA), Tatoian earned the save and also recorded a pair of hits.
Justin Horn (Upper Dublin) and Jared Melone (North Penn) both had two hits in West Chester’s 3-2 loss to Lock Haven in game one of a doubleheader split on Saturday. In Friday’s 14-12 loss to Lock Haven, Melone was 3-for-4 with two runs scored. In West Chester’s 24-15 win over Slippery Rock, Melone hit a three-run home run and finished the day 3-for-5 with six RBIs. In West Chester’s 6-0 win over Wayne State, Melone had two hits.
Freshman Andrew Mayhew (Pennridge) fanned five in 3.2 innings from the ninth to the 12th in Millersville’s 4-3 come-from-behind win in 13 innings over Seton Hill last Sunday.
Wilkes sophomore Matt Reinert (Souderton) is off to a torrid start in MAC play and is in the top 10 categories numerous categories. Through 14 games, Reinert is tied for first in stolen bases (6), second in runs scored (17) and RBIs (14), fourth in doubles (6), fifth in on-base percentage (.500) and hits (18), seventh in slugging percentage (.600) and ninth in batting average (.400, 18-for-45).
MEN’S BASKETBALL
Arcadia junior Evan Slone (Souderton) was named to the Winter MAC Sportsmanship Team. The team recognizes student-athletes who exemplify great character and demonstrate the act of sportsmanship both on and off the field. The student-athletes were selected by the head coaches from their respective teams. They represent their team, institution and conference with high integrity and exhibit respect for themselves, teammates, coaches and opponents.
Moravian junior guard Jimmy Murray (Plymouth Whitemarsh) was named to the 2018 D3hoops.com Men’s
Basketball All-Mid-Atlantic Region Second team. Murray helped the Greyhounds to a school record 20 wins this season as the squad posted a 20-8 record, won its first ever Landmark Conference title and played in the NCAA Division III Tournament for the third time in school history and first as an automatic qualifier. Murray was selected to the Landmark All-Conference First Team last month, and he was also honored on the Lehigh Valley Small College Basketball Team of the Year. Murray, who was named to the second team a year ago, averaged 17.3 points per game to go along with 68 rebounds, 65 three-pointers, 58 assists and 43 steals. Murray is 16th in school history with 1,134 points in 75 games, and he has made a school record 168 three-pointers in his career.
Kutztown redshirt junior Anthony Lee (Abington) completed his sweep of postseason awards, earning a spot on the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Division II All-District Second Team, three days after being selected to the Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) All-Atlantic Region second team. Earlier this month, Lee was named to the PSAC first team. The Abington graduate broke the school record for made three-pointers in a game with eight and in a season with 83. He led the PSAC in made three-point percentage at 51.6, which also ranked second in Div. II and is also fifth in the conference in field goal percentage (54.1) and free throw percentage (86.8). Lee has totaled 1,470 career points, ranking sixth in program history. He is third in the PSAC in scoring (21.5 ppg) and has scored double figures in 74 of his 82 career starts, including all 28 this season.
WOMEN’S BASKETBALL
University of Scranton sophomore Makenzie Mason (Central Bucks West) was named to the D3hoops.com
2017-18 All-Region team. The CB West graduate recently earned first team All-Landmark Conference honors. A sophomore guard, Mason excelled in all aspects of the game, ranking in the top two on the Scranton roster in every major statistical category. She was second in scoring (9.7 points per game), rebounding (6.6 rebounds per game), assists (95), blocks (32) and steals (24). Mason paced the Lady Royals by shooting 86.7 percent from the free throw line and was second on the team in field goal shooting at 50.5 percent. Named the Landmark Conference Athlete of the Week on Jan. 29, Mason scored a career-high 20 points in a 98-94 overtime win against Moravian. She also came up big in the postseason, averaging 8.8 points, 9.4 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 2.4 blocks per game in the Lady Royals’ five playoff games. Mason helped lead the Lady Royals to a 28-2 record and helped carry Scranton to its third straight Landmark Conference championship. The Lady Royals also advanced to the Sweet 16 round of the NCAA Tournament for the third year in a row.
Albright senior Alysha Lofton (Central Bucks South) was named to the Women’s Basketball Coaches
Association (WBCA) All-America Team. Lofton is one of 10 players to be named to the team, which comes a year after she earned WBCA All-American Honorable Mention honors. She becomes the second player in Albright women’s basketball history to be named to the WBCA Division III All-American Team. Following being named MAC Commonwealth Player of the Year, Lofton was also named to the D3Hoops.com All-Mid-Atlantic Region First Team. The CB South graduate helped lead the Lions to their third consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance and fourth straight MAC Commonwealth Tournament Championship Game appearance. She also found herself in the top 10 in five major statistical categories in the conference as well. Lofton led the conference with 2.7 steals per game, ranked fourth with 14.4 points per game and 1.5 blocks per game in addition to placing fifth with 3.7 assists per game and seventh with 7.6 rebounds per game. In addition, she registered five double-doubles during the season. Lofton was named MAC Commonwealth Player of the Week four times this season and recorded the program’s first triple-double against Stevenson on Jan. 27. She will finish her collegiate career with 1,012 points while ranking in the top five in Albright history for career assists, steals and blocks. Lofton will also finish seventh in program history in rebounds as well.
Junior Nicole Munger (Central Bucks West) had eight points and eight rebounds in Michigan’s 75-61 win over Northern Colorado in an opening round game of the NCAA Tournament. Michigan fell to No. 2 seed Baylor in a second round game.
Senior Michael Harris (Abington) pulled down seven rebounds in American University’s 71-60 loss to No. 3 seed UCLA in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament.
Sophomore Lydia Konstanzer (Pennridge) was named to the 2018 Centennial Conference Winter Academic Honor Roll. To be nominated, a student-athlete must be a sophomore or higher in class standing and carry a cumulative GPA of 3.40 or higher.
MEN’S LACROSSE
Jack Myers (Wissahickon) stopped a game-high seven shots in the first half of Elizabethtown’s 21-8 loss to 12th-ranked Franklin & Marshall last Sunday.
Cabrini junior Riley White (Plymouth Whitemarsh) was named Colonial States Athletic Conference Defensive
Player of the Week for the week ending March 18. It was his third consecutive honor. White had a major influence in No. 5 Cabrini’s 9-8 win over No. 15 Ohio Wesleyan and a 19-12 win over Ursinus. White paired seven saves and five ground balls in the win over Ohio Wesleyan. The junior anchored a defensive effort that made the Blue and White’s one-goal cushion stand over the final seven minutes of play. In the win over Ursinus, White recorded 15 saves in just over three quarters, including nine third quarter stops.
Freshman Brian Hood (Hatboro-Horsham) won 11-of-14 of his chances in the face-off X and corralled a game-high nine ground balls in Cabrini’s 27-2 win over Keystone College on Saturday. In Friday’s 14-10 loss at Stevenson, White recorded 10 saves. In Cabrini’s 9-8 win over No. 15 Ohio Wesleyan, White recorded seven saves and a game-high five ground balls.
Michael Sowers (Upper Dublin) became the fastest Princeton men’s lacrosse player ever to reach 100 points
. He reached the milestone early in the first quarter of Princeton’s game against NJIT. By the time Princeton had won that game and then beaten Rutgers four days later, Sowers found himself up to 114 points. In all, it was a 17-point week for Sowers, a performance that earned him a spot on the 10-man USILA Team of the Week, which honors the top 10 players in Division I each week. It brought him to 52 career goals and 62 career assists in just 20 career games. Sowers started the week with three goals and five assists in little less than three quarters in the 15-8 win over NJIT and then came back with three more goals and six assists against Rutgers in a 15-14 overtime win. The nine points against Rutgers tied his career high, giving him three nine-point games, and the six assists were a new career high after he had equaled his previous career high of five in the NJIT game. Sowers leads Division I in assists per game and is third in Division I in points per game.
Sowers had a goal and an assist in Princeton’s 16-8 loss to Yale on Saturday. In Penn’s 14-7 win over Princeton, Sowers had three assists, giving him 65 for his career and moving him into a tie for 14th all-time at Princeton. Sowers has had at least two points in every game of his career.
Redshirt freshman Nicholas Vernacchio (Upper Dublin) scored his first collegiate goal came with 26 seconds left in regulation to break a 9-9 tie and led St. Joseph’s to a 10-9 win over Drexel.
Sophomore Evan Scott (Upper Dublin) caused two turnovers to lead the defense in Ursinus College’s 8-7 loss to No. 5 Gettysburg on Saturday.

WOMEN’S LACROSSE
Emily Hawkins (Cheltenham) scored two goals and added an assist in Keystone College’s 18-7 loss to Cabrini on Saturday. In last Saturday’s 20-7 loss to Immaculata, Hawkins had two goals and an assist. In Keystone’s 9-6 win over Wilkes, Hawkins scored four goals.
Freshman Kate Ziegler (Pennridge) scored a career-high five goals in Elizabethtown’s 19-11 win over Susquehanna on Saturday. In Tuesday’s 17-9 win over Arcadia, Ziegler had three goals and one assist.
Kara Imes (North Penn) scored four goals and also had nine draw controls in Delaware Valley University’s 14-12 win over Wesley on Saturday.
Sophomore Melissa Felicetti (Upper Moreland) recorded four goals in Penn State Abington’s 22-11 loss to Wells College on Saturday night. In Monday’s 16-14 loss at Rutgers Camden, Felicetti scored on all five of her shots. Her sister, Allison Felicetti (Upper Moreland), also had a hand in five goals, notching three goals and adding two assists.
Freshman Hannah Reape (Upper Dublin) had a team-high four draws and senior Alycia Hildebrand (Upper Dublin) led all players with six ground balls in Ursinus College’s 20-3 loss to No. 1 Gettysburg on Saturday. In Tuesday’s 15-6 loss to No. 6 TCNJ, Reape was credited with two draw controls, and Hildebrand had three caused turnovers and three ground balls. In the Bears’ 13-7 win over Coast Guard, Hildebrand had two caused turnovers.
Junior attacker Francesca Donato (Neshaminy) scored twice in St. Joseph’s 11-10 win over Wagner on Saturday.
Senior Samantha Ryder (Pennridge) had three caused turnovers and also had four draw controls in Jefferson University’s 11-9 loss to Shippensburg.
Freshman goalkeeper KiKi Brasher (Abington) recorded nine saves in Shippensburg’s 15-7 loss at No. 22 Mercyhurst on Saturday. Brasher has made at least eight saves in six of the team’s seven games this season. Allison Fugate (Pennridge) scored a goal. In last Saturday’s 11-10 loss to Gannon, Fugate finished with two goals, a caused turnover and a ground ball. Junior Kyra Shank (Souderton) also scored for the Raiders. Brasher finished with 12 saves – her third double-digit save performance of the season. In Shippensburg’s 11-9 win over Jefferson University, Fugate recorded her fifth career hat trick, and Brasher recorded eight saves. She also had three ground balls, a caused turnover and made four huge stops on Jefferson free position shots. Shank had an assist.
Junior Amber Lambeth (Souderton) picked up the final draw control of the game to start the second overtime in Temple’s 9-8 double overtime win over Cincinnati on Saturday. In last Sunday’s 10-9 upset of No. 22/16 Denver, Lambeth scored twice.
Gwynedd Mercy freshman Victoria Braeunle (North Penn) was selected to the CSAC Women’s Lacrosse
Honor Roll for the week ending March 11. The North Penn graduate racked up seven points on six goals and an assist, added seven draws, three ground balls and a caused turnover in the Griffins’ matchup with Rutgers-Camden. It marked the third game in a row she has scored six goals in a game.
Braeunle scored five goals and goalie Nicole Wood (Souderton) recorded 12 saves in Gwynedd Mercy’s 26-15 victory over Notre Dame of Maryland last Saturday. In the Griffins’ 23-13 loss to DeSales, Braeunle had two goals and an assist, and Wood registered 14 saves.
Mikki Raymond (Abington) scored a goal to go along with three assists and four draw controls in La Salle’s 16-12 road win at LIU Brooklyn on Friday. In La Salle’s 16-9 win over Manhattan, Raymond had three goals and two assists.
Mikayla Bowman (North Penn) scored four goals to extend her streak to eight consecutive games with a goal in Kutztown’s 15-12 loss to No. 17 IUP last Saturday.
Maggie Stella (Central Bucks East) posted her first college hat trick and also won 10 draw controls in No. 13 West Chester’s 12-11 overtime thriller over Mount Olive. In West Chester’s 13-12 win over 15th-ranked Queens (NC), Stella scored a pair of goals and was credited with 11 draw controls.
Senior midfielder Chessie Rahmer (Souderton) had two goals in East Stroudsburg’s 16-4 win over Edinboro on Sunday. Sophomore Michelle Dyck (North Penn) had two saves in a scoreless second half. In Friday’s 11-10 win over Millersville, Rahmer scored five goals, including the final three of the game. Dyck had two saves in the final 9:09 minutes. In East Stroudsburg’s 16-4 win at Seton Hill, Rahmer had a goal and an assist.
SOFTBALL
Junior pitcher Alyssa Hughes (Pennridge) tossed a three-hitter and helped her own cause with three hits in Keystone College’s 12-1 win over Albertus Magnus in five innings in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
Haley Delaney (Souderton) smacked a two-run home run and was 3-for-4 with three RBIs and two runs scored in UMBC's 10-3 win over Rider on Sunday in the UMBC Retriever Classic. In UMBC's 9-1 win over Saint Peter's earlier in the day, Delaney was 1-for-2 with two runs scored. In Saturday's 7-3 win over Saint Peter's, Delaney delivered a pinch hit RBI single. In last Sunday’s 10-8 loss to Drexel, Delaney singled and drove in a run.
Katelynn Reiss (Bensalem) singled and drove in a run in Cairn University’s 9-4 win over Christendom.
Elizabethtown sophomore Alyssa Wilkinson (Quakertown) was named the Landmark Conference Softball Pitcher of the Week for the week ending March 11. Wilkinson, who has the lowest ERA in the conference, went 4-0 in four appearances during the preceding week. All four starts were complete game efforts, including an extra-inning win over Roger Williams in eight innings. She struck out a career-high six batters before fanning a new career high nine in the following start against UMass Boston. In Wilkinson’s four starts, she threw two shutouts and two one-hitters and only gave up a grand total of three earned runs in 29 innings. As of March 13, she was tied for the Landmark lead in wins (five) and along with the lowest ERA (0.50), she was fourth in strikeouts (23).
Wilkinson tossed a complete game win in Elizabethtown’s 2-1 win over Dickinson in game one of a doubleheader sweep on Monday. Wilkinson allowed just four hits and allowed just one hit in the third through sixth innings. Last Sunday, Wilkinson threw a perfect five-inning game in Elizabethtown’s 8-0 win over Drew in game one of the Blue Jays’ doubleheader sweep. The Quakertown graduate, who fanned three, helped her own cause with an RBI double.
Jackie Heim (William Tennent) hit a two-run home run in La Salle’s 9-4 loss to Sacred Heart last Friday.
Koraima Dudley (Neshaminy) collected a bunt single and scored a run in Delaware Valley University’s 3-2 win over host Ursinus College in game two of a doubleheader split on Monday. In the Aggies’ 8-1 loss in the opener, Dudley singled and scored her team’s only run.
Spenser Gray (Quakertown) singled and scored a run in UNC Charlotte’s 4-1 win over Middle Tennessee on Sunday.
Nikki Alden (William Tennent) contributed an RBI single that plated the game winner in Villanova’s 3-2 win over Cornell last Sunday. In last Saturday’s 7-5 win over Cornell, Alden was 2-for-4 with an RBI.
Junior Jackie Bilotti (North Penn) was 2-for-3 in both games on Arcadia’s doubleheader split with Lebanon Valley last Sunday. In Arcadia’s 9-4 win over Oswego State in Kissimee, Fla., Billotti was 3-for-4 with a triple, RBI and two runs scored. In Arcadia’s 6-4 loss to No. 15 Ramapo, Bilotti was 1-for-3. In Arcadia’s 11-3 win over Western Lutheran in five innings, Bilotti went 2-for-3 with a two-run homer and two runs.
DeSales senior Hailey Warner (Central Bucks South) was named the ECAC Metro Region Pitcher of the Week for the week ending March 11. Warner posted a 2-0 record in three appearances, including a complete game (five innings) no-hitter over Simmons College. She finished the week with 18 strikeouts in 13 innings. In the 13-0 win over Simmons, the senior struck out six batters and walked two. In a 6-5 win over Bridgewater College, Warner struck out 11 batters, walking two and giving up just three earned runs.
Warner came into the game in relief in the bottom of the first inning, allowing just one hit over six innings while striking out five to earn her fourth win in DeSales University’s 12-2 win over King’s College in game one of a doubleheader sweep Saturday. In DeSales’ 4-1 win in game two of the twinbill, freshman Stephanie Andreoli (Council Rock South) turned in a strong performance in her first-ever career collegiate start, tossing five strong innings allowing just two hits and one unearned run to earn her first collegiate win in the circle.
Sophomore Meghan Klee (Quakertown) had two hits, drew a walk and scored a team-high four runs in Shippensburg’s sweep of the University of the Sciences last Sunday.
Becki Christoffers (North Penn) had a pair of hits, three RBIs and three runs scored in Gwynedd Mercy’s 15-0 win over Hilbert College at the Fastpitch Dreams Spring Classic in North Myrtle Beach, S.C. In Gwynedd’s 5-3 win over Mary Washington, Christoffers contributed a two-run double.
Junior Sara Keeny (William Tennent) was 3-for-3 with two runs scored and an RBI in Kutztown’s 7-2 win over Clarion University in game one of a doubleheader sweep in Clermont, Fla. It is the second three-hit game for Keeny this season. The Tennent graduate leads the team with a .417 batting average. She also had a team-high 11 hits during the team’s 10-game trip to Clermont, Fla. Keeny remained a force on the base paths, swiping three bags, giving her 13 on the season to rank first in the PSAC. She now has 78 career stolen bases, fifth all-time in program history. Cheyenne Jones (Harry S Truman) had a pair of hits. In KU’s 9-1 win in game two, Jones was 2-for-3 with two runs scored and three RBIs. One of those two hits was a two-run home run to center field, her first long ball of the season. Junior Jackie Morell (Bensalem) got the start and went five strong innings, allowing four hits and no earned run while striking out three to earn her second win of the season. In KU’s 1-0 win over IUP, Keeny led off the top of the seventh with a single and advanced to second on a throwing error, scoring the game winner on a sacrifice bunt. Jones was 2-for-4. In Kutztown’s 7-2 win over Salem University, Keen was 2-for-3 with an RBI and two runs scored. In KU’s 4-2 win over the University of Charleston (WV), Keeny went 2-for-4 and scored a run.

Stephanie Jin (Wissahickon) earned a 6-4, 6-2 win at first singles and also was part of the first doubles team that earned an 8-4 win in Penn State Abington’s 5-4 loss to Goucher last Saturday.
MEN’S TRACK & FIELD
Elizabethtown senior Mitch Schlegel (Souderton) had three top 10 finishes at last Saturday’s W&L Carnival, the opening outdoor meet at Washington and Lee. The Souderton graduate took fourth in the 200m (22.63), eighth in the 100mm (11.57) and tied for eighth in the 400m (50.92). He also was part of the second place 4×100 relay (43.98). One day earlier, Schlegel was part of the eighth place 4x400m relay (3:31.92).
Holy family sophomore Connor Irwin (Hatboro-Horsham) finished fifth in the 3,000m run in a new school record time of 10:01.82 at the Delaware Classic hosted by the University of Delaware on Saturday.

Kutztown senior Brandon Raguz (Central Bucks South) opened his final outdoor season with an NCAA Provisional in the pole vault at the 49er Classic in Charlotte, N.C. The CB South graduate finished in third place at 15-9 for a new PSAC and NCAA clearances for the two-time national qualifier and 2017 Outdoor All-American. Anthony Bullaro (Pennsbury) and Obi Ogbonna (Harry S Truman) posted PSAC marks in the 110m hurdles. Bullaro led the way at 15.76, followed by Ogbonna at 15.80 for second in his heat.

Holy Family freshman Charnel Williams (Pennsbury) finished 10th after recording a distance of 29’5.5” (8.98m) in the shot put event at the Delaware Classic hosted by the University of Delaware on Saturday.
Sophomore Riley Engle (Council Rock North) was named to the 2018 Centennial Conference Winter Academic Honor Roll. To be nominated, a student-athlete must be a sophomore or higher in class standing and carry a cumulative GPA of 3.40 or higher.

AJ Sungenis (Upper Dublin) had 16 kills and hit .225 and just missed out on his second straight double-double, recording nine digs, in Widener’s 3-1 loss to Misericorida on Saturday. In Friday’s 3-2 loss to Maranatha Baptist, Sungenis set program records in kills and hitting percentage. Sungenis turned in what was described as “arguably the best performance ever in program history,” recording a double-double with a record 31 kills to go along with 10 digs. He committed just seven errors and hit .348 for the match. In the first set, Sungenis recorded 10 kills against just one error in 16 attacks, resulting in a .643 hitting percentage. In the second set, Sungenis continued to dominate, hitting .636 on the strength of seven kills and no errors in 11 attacks. In Widener’s 3-0 win over Neumann, Sungenis had nine kills and also had 10 digs. It was the Pride’s first win in program history.
