BASEBALL
Sophomore Ben Spadea (Pennsbury) struck out one and did not allow a hit in a scoreless inning of relief in Cairn Unviersity’s 11-6 win over Penn State Abington on Wednesday.
Freshman Justin Guidos (Quakertown) threw two scoreless innings in relief to earn the save in East Stroudsburg’s 5-3 win over Mansfield in game two of a twinbill sweep on Saturday. He allowed one hit while striking out two and walking one. In Wednesday’s 4-3 win over Molloy, Guidos threw a scoreless inning in relief. Freshman JP Nolan (Abington) made his second start of the season and took a no decision, allowing four hits and two runs (one earned) in five innings while walking none and striking out one. In ESU’s 6-2 win over Lock in Haven in a doubleheader split, Guidos did not allow a hit in two scoreless innings of relief. In ESU’s 12-3 win over LIU Post, Guidos threw a scoreless inning in relief.
Matt Reinert (Souderton) delivered a bases-loaded single that plated two runs in Wilkes University’s 11-3 win over Misericordia. The Souderton grad had a three-hit day.
Senior Jared Melone (North Penn) notched a team-high three hits, three RBIs, three runs and two home runs in four at-bats in No. 18 West Chester’s 8-4 win over Lock Haven in game one of a doubleheader sweep Saturday. In the Rams’ 5-3 win in game two, Melone had a pair of hits and sophomore Justin Horn (Upper Dublin) singled and scored two runs. In Friday’s 6-3 win over Lock Haven in game one of a twinbill sweep, starter Jon Fisher (Plymouth Whitemarsh) notched the complete game win, allowing six hits while striking out eight and walking one. Melone was 2-for-3 with a home run and three RBIs. In Wednesday’s 18-4 loss to No. 22 Wilmington, Horn had a pair of hits and scored a run. In Sunday’s 15-2 win over Mansfield in game two of a twinbill split, Melone was 2-for-4 with two runs.
Sophomore Colin Kennedy (Hatboro-Horsham) entered in relief in the 10th and ended the inning with a 4-6-3 double play to keep the Explorers alive in Saturday’s 10-5 win in 11 innings over Saint Bonaventure on Saturday.
Lew Meringo (Central Bucks East) doubled and scored in Albright’s 9-1 loss to Arcadia on Friday. In Albright’s 9-7 victory over Stevenson in Auburndale, Fla., Meringo was 3-for-4. In Albright’s 5-4 win over Keuka in game two of a doubleheader split, Phil Staehle (Souderton) threw a scoreless inning in relief. In Albright’s 10-4 loss to Keuaka, Meringo delivered an RBI single.
Matt Huber (North Penn) had an RBI double and scored a run in Delaware Valley’s 13-4 loss to Manhattanville. In Delaware Valley’s 14-3 loss to Ursinus, Ryan Georgiadis (Quakertown) threw three frames of no-hit ball in relief with two strikeouts and three walks.
Ryan Bealer (North Penn) was 3-for-5 with two doubles, three RBIs and two runs in Arcadia’s 27-4 win over Albright in game one of a doubleheader sweep. Matt Ernst (Central Bucks East) was 2-for-2 with an RBI and three runs, and Nick Ponente (Council Rock South) was 1-for-2 with two runs. Nick Fossile (Bensalem) threw a scoreless inning in relief. In last Saturday’s 4-3 win over Widener, Ernst’s bunt single in the sixth inning was the difference. On a one-strike pitch, Ernst laid a bunt down, beating out the throw. Zak Thomas, who was one second, advanced to third and scored the go-ahead run on a fielding error on the play.
Sophomore Ian Kacergis (Pennridge) earned the complete game win in DeSales University's 12-2 victory over Delaware Valley in game two of a doubleheader sweep last Sunday. The Pennridge graduate allowed seven hits and two runs, striking out seven.
Dan Klepchick (Central Bucks South) posted his team-high third win in Monmouth’s 27-1 win over Saint Peter’s in game one of a doubleheader sweep on Saturday. The CB South grad allowed five hits and one run while striking out eight and walking one in six innings of work.Danny Long (Pennridge) scored a pair of runs. In Monmouth’s 6-6 tie with Richmond that was halted for darkness, Long had an RBI single. In Monmouth’s 17-3 win over Longwood University, Long was 3-for-4 with three runs scored. It was his first three-hit game of the season.
Ryan McCarty (Pennsbury) was 2-for-5 with two runs scored in Penn State Abington’s 11-8 win over Gallaudet on Sunday. In Saturday’s 7-0 win over Gallaudet in game one of a doubleheader sweep, McCarty earned the complete game win, allowing five hits while striking out six and walking none. He also was 2-for-3 with two runs. Brett Guaglionona (Abington) was 2-for-4 with an RBI. In the Nittany Lions’ 11-5 win in game two, McCarty was 3-for-4 with a double, RBI and two runs. In Wednesday’s 11-6 loss to Cairn, McCarty hit his first home run of the season. In last Sunday’s 8-6 win over Muhlenberg in game one of a twinbill sweep, Guaglionona was 2-for-4 with an RBI and two runs, and McCarty was 3-for-4 with a double, two RBIs and one run. In the Nittany Lions’ 8-5 win in game two, Guaglionona drove in a pair of runs. McCarty, who earned the win on the mound, was 2-for-3 with a double and run.
Kadar Namey (North Penn) contributed an RBI double in Saint Joseph’s 10-4 loss at George Washington on Saturday. In last Sunday’s 14-3 win over George Mason, Namey, who was 1-for-3 with two RBIs and two runs, had an RBI double. In the Hawks’ 18-9 rout of George Mason last Saturday, Namey hit his second home run in as many days, a two-run shot that gave the Hawks a 3-2 lead. In the Hawks’ 11-5 win over George Mason, Namey hit a solo home run. He finished the game 2-for-3 with three RBIs and two runs.
Sophomores Jerry Scavone (Neshaminy) and Eric Gross (Central Bucks South) both finished 3-for-5 with a double and RBI in Ursinus College’s 14-7 win over Immaculata on Wednesday. Scavone crossed the plate three times to lead the Bears and Gross scored twice. Senior Carter Usowski (Central Bucks East) delivered a sacrifice fly that scored Scavone for the fifth run. In the Bears’ 14-3 win over Delaware Valley, Gross went 2-for-4 with a double and three runs scored. Usowski drove in a run.
Jefferson University senior Timothy Brodhag (William Tennent) was named the CACC Player of the Week for the week ending March 17. Brodhag led the Rams with a .565 average (13-for-23) with two doubles, three home runs, nine RBIs and seven runs scored over six contests. The senior posted multiple hits in all but one game with an extra base hit in three of those contests. Brodhag’s best performance of the week was going 5-for-9 with a double, three homers, five RBIs and five runs scored in a doubleheader sweep of Salem (W.Va.). He recorded an impressive 1.620 OPS over the six games.
CJ Goodz (William Tennent) was 1-for-1 with a triple and RBI in Jefferson University’s 24-6 loss to East Stroudsburg on Thursday. In Tuesday’s 6-5 loss in nine innings to the University of the Sciences, Brodhag singled and drove in a run. In Jefferson’s 8-5 win in game two, Brodhag tripled and drove in a run. In the Rams’ 8-2 win in nine innings over Goldey-Beacom, Brodhag was 2-for-5 with a pair of doubles, three RBIs and a run scored. In the Rams’ 8-2 win in game two of the doubleheader sweep, Brodhag was 2-for-3 with a double.
TJ Brasier (Harry S Truman) was 2-for-2 with a double, RBI and run scored in Gwynedd Mercy’s 8-1 win over Wesley in game one of a twinbill sweep Saturday. Jason Mulvey (Bensalem) tripled and scored a run. Nick Mulvey (Bensalem) had an RBI. In the Griffins’ 11-0 win in game two, Dave Tatoian (Pennridge) was 2-for-5 with a double, two RBIs and a run. In Wednesday’s 8-8 tie that was called for darkness after the 11th inning, Nick Mulvey had three hits, two runs scored and an RBI. He also stole two bases. Tatoian had two hits, two RBIs and two runs scored. Jason Mulvey doubled, tripled and scored twice. In Tuesday’s 12-6 loss at Kean, Tatoian had three hits, two for doubles, scored twice and added an RBI and walk. In Gwynedd Mercy’s 12-4 win in a doubleheader split with Gettysburg, Tatoian had three hits and Jason Mulvey doubled twice and scored three times.
Dylan Morrissette (Souderton) drove in a run in Widener’s 9-4 loss to TCNJ in 11 innings on Tuesday. In last Sunday’s 11-7 win over Arcadia in game one of a doubleheader split, Morrissette had a pair of hits. In the Pride’s 4-2 loss in game two, Sean Maniatis (Pennsbury) made his season debut with two shutout, hitless frames. In Widener’s 4-3 loss to Arcadia, Morrissette had two hits. In the Pride’s 3-2 win over Haverford, Morrissette had three hits.
Sophomore Andrew Dietz (Central Bucks South) was 2-for-4 and Billy Bethel (Pennsbury) earned his third win of the season in relief in Chestnut Hill’s 13-7 victory over Post University in game two of a doubleheader split Saturday. Bethel allowed a run on a hit and a walk in two innings. In Chestnut Hill’s 13-7 loss in game one, Dutch Reardon (Plymouth Whitemarsh) was 2-for-4 with a run scored. In Tuesday’s 4-3 victory over No. 24 Wilmington in game one of a twinbill split, Bethel struck out six in the complete game effort. He allowed three runs on eight hits and a pair of walks. In the Griffins 3-2 loss in game two, Dietz was 2-for-3 with two RBIs. Reardon was 1-for-3. In Chestnut Hill’s 5-4 loss to Felician, junior right fielder Zach Szumigala (Pennsbury) recorded a pair of hits. In Chestnut Hill’s 3-1 win over Felician in game one of a doubleheader split, Bethel earned his first win of the season, striking out seven while allowing one run on nine hits and a walk.
Noah Hartwell (Council Rock North) allowed one hit and walked one in 1.2 scoreless innings of relief in Millersville’s 14-6 loss to Shepherd.
Sophomore Jake Reid (Quakertown) was 5-for 7 with three RBIs and one run scored in Bloomsburg’s doubleheader sweep of Kutztown on Friday (7-2, 8-2). In Tuesday’s 16-4 win over St. Thomas Aquinas, Cole Swiger (Upper Dublin) was 3-for-5 with a double, three RBIs and one run while Reid was 1-for-2 with two RBIs and two runs.
Mike Christy (North Penn) contributed an RBI double in Elizabethtown’s 7-4 win over No. 4 Swarthmore on Friday. In Elizabethtown’s 13-3 win over Franklin & Marshall, Nathaniel Barnes (Quakertown) earned the first win of his career, allowing one hit in a scoreless inning in relief. Christy was 3-for-4 with a double, two triples, three RBIs and two runs scored.
WOMEN’S BASKETBALL
University of the Sciences sophomore Irisa Ye (North Penn) received honorable mention WBCA All-America 
honors. The honor adds to a growing list of accolades that included first team All-CACC and D2CCAA All-Region, CACC Championship All-Tournament Team, NCAA East Regional All-Tournament Team, USBWA Division II National Player of the Week, CACC Student-Athlete of the Month, CoSIDA Academic All-District Team and CACC Player of the Week. Ye finished the season atop the CACC with a 55.6 field goal percentage, which ranks 21st nationally and puts her sixth in the program’s single-season history. She was also second in the league in both points per game (17.0) and 3-point percentage (43.7), the latter of which ranks seventh in the program’s single-season annals and fourth with an 83.1 free throw percentage. Ye’s 561 points this year were the second most in a single season in USciences history, breaking the program’s NCAA Era record, while her 195 field goals and 133 free throws ranked fifth and seventh, respectively.
Ye as well as juniors Miakela Giuliani (North Penn) and Jordan Vitelli (Central Bucks South) earned CACC All-Academic honors. Ye was also named a member of the 2018-19 Google Cloud Academic All-District Team. Giuliani and Vitelli, both five-time dean’s list honorees, are two-time members of the squad and also were 2017-18 D2 ADA Academic Achievement Award recipients.
Senior Nicole Munger (Central Bucks West) contributed eight points, two rebounds and two assists in the University of Michigan’s 71-50 loss to top-seeded Louisville in the second round of the NCAA Tournament last Sunday. The Wolverines end the season with a 22-12 record, third most wins in school history. In eighth-seeded Michigan’s 84-54 opening round win over ninth-seeded Kansas State, Munger, who scored 13 points, became the 28th 1,000-point scorer in program history when she connected on a three-pointer with 1:20 left in the second quarter.
Jefferson University senior Erin Maher (North Penn) earned CACC All-Academic honors for the third time. To be eligible, each student must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 at the end of the immediately preceding term and have a minimum of two semesters enrolled as a full-time student at a member institution. Maher started 29 games for the Rams and averaged 7.7 points and 7.0 rebounds. She was first on the team in blocks (0.9 bpg), second in steals (1.6 spg), third in rebounding and three-pointers (41) and fifth in scoring. The senior posted season-highs of 22 points, 14 rebounds, five assists, six steals and two blocks. Maher was named to the CACC All-Tournament Team. She was a 2017-18 recipient of the Academic Achievement Award by the Division II Athletic Directors Association (D2ADA).
MEN’S LACROSSE
Senior goaltender Riley White (Plymouth Whitemarsh) earned the victory with five saves in 45 minutes of action before being relieved by sophomore Leonardo Godefroy and freshmanChris Brady (Quakertown) in No. 6 Cabrini’s 20-2 victory at Gwynedd Mercy on Saturday. In Wednesday’s 13-5 loss to No. 1 Salisbury, White paired five saves and five ground balls. In Cabrini’s 11-7 loss at No. 6 York College, White made 13 saves.
Jakob Phaup (Souderton) won 15-of-21 restarts in Syracuse’s 13-10 loss to No. 12 Notre Dame on Saturday. In last Sunday’s 9-8 overtime win over No. 2 Duke, Phaup went 8-of-12 at the X.
Michael Sowers (Princeton) had a goal and two assists in Princeton’s 14-10 loss to Brown on Saturday. The UD graduate now has 214 points for his career and moves within one point of Jon Hess for third place all-time in Princeton in scoring. In Tuesday’s 14-13 win over ninth-ranked Denver, Sowers had three goals and three assists. In Princeton’s 15-10 loss to Yale, Sowers had a goal and four assists for a team-high five points.
Leo Kelly (Plymouth Whitemarsh) scored a pair of goals in Wesley College’s 16-5 loss to Marymount on Saturday. In Wednesday’s 9-2 loss to Delaware Valley, Kelly collected four ground balls. In last Saturday’s 5-2 loss to Purchase, Kelly had a goal and an assist.
Brett McDonald (Council Rock North) recorded 11 saves, six before the intermission, in Eastern University’s 12-9 win over Widener. He made a key stop late with his team holding a one-goal lead. In Eastern’s 19-6 loss to No. 10 Dickinson, Kyle Fanelli (Pennridge) had the Eagles’ lone highlight of the third quarter. The junior midfielder picked up a loose ball at the edge of the crease and fired a blind shot into the top corner for his first goal of the year.
Nick Vernacchio (Upper Dublin) contributed a goal and two assists in Saint Joseph’s 11-6 win over Bryant last Saturday.
Junior Evan Scott (Upper Dublin) scored a goal in No. 8 Ursinus College’s 13-9 loss to No. 9 Gettysburg last Saturday.
Defender Christopher Dachowski (Pennridge) scored a goal and junior goalkeeper Stephen Hogan Jr (Central Bucks West) recorded four saves in Chestnut Hill’s 14-8 win over St. Thomas Aquinas College on Saturday. In Tuesday’s 12-7 loss to No. 3 Mercy College, Hogan made 12 saves and recovered two ground balls.
WOMEN’S LACROSSE
Kate Ziegler (Pennridge) contributed five goals, three assists, six draw controls and five ground balls in Elizabethtown’s 20-15 win over Goucher on Saturday. In Wednesday’s 21-7 loss to Stevenson, Ziegler had a team-high four goals to go along with three draw controls and two ground balls.
Courtney Dietzel (Central Bucks South) had a pair of goals and a caused turnover in Drexel’s 13-10 loss to Robert Morris on Saturday. In last Saturday’s 22-4 victory over Central Connecticut State, Dietzel and Claire Jarema (Council Rock North) each had two goals. Dietzel also had an assist.
Makayla Bowman (North Penn) registered a hat trick in Kutztown’s 15-9 win over Gannon on Saturday. In Wednesday’s 15-6 win over Shippensburg, Bowman scored a pair of goals. In Kutztown’s 14-8 win at Slippery Rock, Bowman, who collected a hat trick, recorded her 100th career goal.
Senior JoAnne Mamie (Neshaminy) finished with a team-high five ground balls and six draw controls in Holy Family’s 15-11 loss to Nyack on Saturday.
Senior attacker Francesca Donato (Neshaminy) posted a game-high seven points (two goals, five assists) to lead Saint Joseph’s to a 17-13 win over VCU on Friday. Freshman midfielder Sophia Kolkka (Plymouth Whitemarsh) had two goals and two assists. Both players had three caused turnovers while Donato also scooped up three ground balls. In last Sunday’s 21-6 win over Duquesne, Donato exploded for a game-high nine points (four goals, five assists). In the Hawks’ 17-4 win over Saint Bonaventure, Donato had a goal and an assist. Freshman defender Lindsey Smith (Springfield Township) earned her first collegiate start.
Senior Amber Lambeth (Souderton) and sophomore Jen Rodzewich (Pennridge) each finished with three points, scoring two goals and adding one assist, in Temple’s 15-8 loss to No. 17 Florida on Saturday.
Freshman Casey Hefner (Pennridge) poured in the first goal of her collegiate career in No. 25 Bloomsburg’s 18-3 win at Chestnut Hill.
Voctoria Braeunle (North Penn) had three goals in Gwynedd Mercy’s 14-5 victory over Mount Saint Mary on Saturday. In Wednesday’s 23-16 loss at Bryn Mawr, Braeunle scored her 100th career goal. She finished with five goals and two assists with her second tally of the day hitting the century goal total. In the Griffins’ 21-9 loss at Cabrini, Braeunle had three goals. In Gwynedd Mercy’s 20-15 loss to Rutgers Camden, Braeunle had five goals.
Maddie Dachowski (Pennridge) had two goals and Mikki Raymond (Abington) added a goal and an assist in La Salle’s 12-6 triumph over VCU on Sunday. In Temple’s 13-7 win over George Washington, Dachowski had a pair of goals. She is La Salle’s leading scorer with 23 goals and has scored over half those goals (12) over the last three games.
Maggie Stella (Central Bucks East) contributed one goal, three assists, three caused turnovers and two ground balls in No. 4 West Chester’s 18-11 win over No. 24 Mercyhurst on Saturday. In Wednesday’s 15-14 overtime loss to No. 8 East Stroudsburg, Stella registered a hat trick. In last Saturday’s 18-10 win over Seton Hill, Emily Schulze (North Penn) had a hat trick while Stella added a pair of goals. In West Chester’s 20-4 win over No. 12 Pace, Devon Mela (Council Rock South) and Stella each scored four goals. Stella finished with seven points (four goals, three assists). Mela came off the bench to score her four goals. In the Rams’ 15-6 win over Kutztown, Schulz netted a pair of goals.
SOFTBALL
Freshman Audrey LaBouliere (Central Bucks East) singled, drove in a run and scored a run in La Salle’s 6-4 walk-off win over St. Bonaventure on Sunday. In Wednesday’s 8-7 loss to Villanova, LaBouliere registered a career-high four RBIs, finishing the game 2-for-3 with a walk. In last Sunday’s 11-2 loss to Saint Louis, LaBouliere went 2-for-2 with a double. In La Salle’s 5-0 loss to Penn, LaBouliere and Natalie Rios (Neshaminy) went 1-for-3. Rios also had a stolen base.
Senior Jessica O’Neill (Harry S Truman) started and yielded one run on three hits and a pair of free passes in four innings in No. 25 Georgian Court’s 6-5 win over Post University on Saturday. The Truman graduate is now 9-1 on the season. In Wednesday’s 10-0 win in five innings over the University of the Sciences in game one of a twinbill sweep, O’Neill allowed one hit and cruised to the complete game shutout. In last Sunday’s 10-0 win over Concordia College in game one of a twinbill sweep, O’Neill improved to 7-1, scattering two hits and a walk in three innings of action. In the circle, O’Neill, a 2018 All-CACC selection, tops all CACC pitchers with her 1.48 ERA and two saves.

In Monday’s 8-0 win over Nyack in game one of a doubleheader sweep, Keeny was 2-for-3 with three runs scored. In KU’s 14-3 win in game two, Jones was 2-for-4 with a triple, two RBIs and a run while Keeny had a pair of hits, including a double. In KU’s 13-0 win over Franklin Pierce in game two of a twinbill split, Brugger threw five shutout innings to earn the win. Jones was 2-for-3 with a triple, two RBIs and two runs, and Keeny was 2-for-3 with a double and two runs.
Senior Katelyn Reiss (Bensalem) hit .333 during Cairn University’s trip to Myrtle Beach to compete in the Fastpitch Dreams Spring Classic.
Jackie Bilotti (North Penn) was 2-for-3 with three runs scored in Arcadia’s 9-1 win over Lycoming in game one of a doubleheader sweep Saturday. In Arcadia’s 5-1 win in game two, Bilotti was 2-for-3 with two RBIs and two runs scored. In Thursday’s 10-0 win over Misericordia in game two of a twinbill split, Bilotti had a pair of hits and scored twice. In last Sunday’s 3-1 loss to Stevenson in game one of a doubleheader split, Bilotti accounted for her team’s only run with a solo home run. In Aracadia’s 5-1 win over Stevenson, Bilotti had two base hits. In Arcadia’s 4-0 win over Westfield State in Kissimmee, Fla., Bilotti was 3-for-3 with two runs scored and two stolen bases.
Moravian College sophomore Meghan Bauer (Pennridge) was named the Landmark Conference Softball Pitcher of the Week for the week ending March 24. The Pennridge graduate earned her first career victory and shutout and pitched in both games of the Greyhounds’ Landmark Conference sweep at Elizabethtown College. She did not allow a run and scattered three hits, walking five while striking out 11 over seven innings. In a 10-1 win in the opener, Bauer struck out all three batters she faced in the final inning. She then added eight more strikeouts in a 9-0 six-inning shutout in game two.
Freshman pitcher Alexandria Scheeler (Souderton) was 2-for-4 with two RBIs and improved to 7-0 in the circle in No. 24 Moravian College’s 11-3 win over Susquehanna in game one of a doubleheader sweep Saturday. The Souderton graduate allowed three runs on seven hits with three walks and three strikeouts. Shortstop Maddisen Bieber (Central Bucks South) was 3-for-4 with two doubles. In Tuesday’s 3-0 win over Penn State Berks in game one of a twinbill sweep, Scheeler was 2-for-3 with an RBI while Bieber had a pair of RBIs and a hit. Scheeler also made the start in the circle and notched her first career shutout. She allowed a double to the first batter of the game before setting down 20 in a row that included one strikeout. In Moravian’s doubleheader sweep of Elizabethtown, Bieber was 2-for-4 in game one’s 10-1 win and contributed an RBI double in game two’s 9-0 win. Bauer made the start in the circle in game two and earned her first collegiate victory and shutout, scattering three hits and five walks to go with eight strikeouts in the complete game.

Rebecca Christoffers (North Penn) tripled and scored in Gwynedd Mercy’s 7-4 win over Immaculata in game one of a twinbill split on Saturday. In the Griffins’ 8-2 loss in the nightcap, Christoffers doubled and drove in a run. In Thursday’s 5-1 loss to Kean, Chelsea Briggs (Bensalem) had two hits.
Stephanie Andreoli (Council Rock South) was 3-for-4 with an RBI and three runs scored and also earned the win in the circle, allowing four hits and two runs (one earned) in three innings in Penn State Abington’s 21-3 win over Gallaudet in game two of a doubleheader sweep Saturday. Jackie McMenamin (Upper Dublin) was 2-for-3 with four RBIs and three runs, and Becca Dougherty (Council Rock South) was 2-for-3 with a double, two RBIs and two runs. Danielle Hebling (William Tennent) was 2-for-3 with a triple, RBI and run. In the Nittany Lions’ 4-2 win in game one, Dougherty earned the complete game win, allowing eight hits and two runs (one earned) while walking none and striking out five. Hebling was 2-for-3 with a double and Andreoli was 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs. In Friday’s 10-4 win over Lancaster Bible College in game one of a twinbill sweep, Dougherty was 3-for-4 with a double, home run, four RBIs and one run. She also earned the win, allowing two hits and one run while striking out two in three innings. Andreoli was 2-for-4 with an RBI and two runs, and Hebling was 2-for-3 with two runs. McMenamin tripled and scored a run. In the Nittany Lions’ 11-3 win in game two, Dougherty, who earned the complete game win, was 3-for-4 with two doubles, an RBI and two runs.
Freshman Madelyn Yeager (Hatboro-Horsham) connected on her first collegiate home run in Holy Family’s 12-7 win over Felician in game one of a twinbill sweep. Her two-run shot gave the Tigers a 12-3 advantage. She finished the day with three runs and three RBIs. In Holy Family’s 10-9 loss in nine innings to Goldey-Beacom, Yeager contributed a two-run triple and scored on an error.
Junior Jennifer Hammons (Springfield Township) notched a complete game win in Ursinus College’s 8-3 win over Elizabethtown in game one of a twinbill sweep on Tuesday. She allowed three runs on five hits with three walks and four strikeouts. In Tuesday’s 9-1 win over Eastern in game one of a doubleheader sweep, Hammons worked a full six innings, scattering seven hits while walking three and striking out four. The one run she allowed was unearned.
Erin Maher (North Penn) was 2-for-4 with two runs scored in Jefferson University’s 5-1 win over Caldwell in game two of a doubleheader sweep Saturday. In Wednesday’s 3-2 win over Goldey-Beacom in game one of a twinbill sweep, Maher was 1-for-3 with a run score. In the Bears’ 7-4 win in game two, Bridgette Schaffer (Hatboro-Horsham) was 1-for-2 with two RBIs. In Jefferson’s 13-8 loss to Chestnut Hill in game one of a doubleheader split, Maher was 3-for-4 with an RBI and three runs score.
Freshman Morgan Gianelle (Cheltenham) was 1-for-2 with her first career home run, two RBIs and a run scored in Marist’s 5-1 win over Fairfield in game one of a doubleheader sweep on Saturday.
Jamie Gosselin (Abington) had a three-hit day, scored a run and drove in one in Widener’s doubleheader split with Stevenson University on Saturday. In last Sunday’s 7-1 victory over Lycoming in game two of a doubleheader split, Sydney Powell (Neshaminy) threw a four-hit complete game for her fourth win of the year. In Widener’s doubleheader sweep of Cabrini, Gosselin hit a walk-off single in the Pride’s 9-8 win in 10 innings. In Widener’s 8-4 win over Wesley in game two of a doubleheader split, Gosselin led off the game with a triple and finished with three hits on the day to raise her average to .429. Powell struck out four on her way to her third win.
Brianna Battavio (North Penn) hit a two-run home run in Millersville’s 5-3 win over East Stroudsburg in game one of a doubleheader split Friday. She finished the game 2-for-3 with two RBIs. In last Sunday’s 7-6 win over Lock Haven in extra innings, Battavio recorded two hits. In the Marauders’ 11-3 win in game one of a twinbill sweep, Devan Masciulli (Neshaminy) had three hits. In Mansfield’s 8-6 triumph in game two, Battavio contributed a three-run double. In Millersville’s 6-4 loss to Pitt-Johnstown in game one of a twinbill, Masciulli was 2-for-3 with two runs scored. In Millersville’s 6-4 loss in game two, Battavio hit a two-run home run, and Masciulli hit her first career triple. In Millersville’s 9-1 win over Bowie State in game one of a doubleheader sweep, Battavio was 2-for-3 with two runs while Masciulli was 1-for-2 with an RBI and run scored.
Redshirt freshman Marissa Govan (William Tennent) drilled a walk-off double to left center to give East Stroudsburg a 3-2 walk-off victory in game two of a doubleheader on Friday. The win sealed a split for the Warriors. In the Warriors’ 9-1 victory over Bloomfield in game one of a doubleheader split on Tuesday, Govan finished 2-for-3 with a pair of runs scored. In ESU’s sweep of Virginia Union last Sunday, Govan had three hits. In ESU’s 13-6 win over Nyack in game two of a twinbill split, Govan had a pair of RBIs.
Olivia Bernstein (Abington) contributed an RBI in West Chester's 7-0 win last Sunday in game two of a doubleheader sweep that extended the Rams' winning streak to eight games. In last Saturday's 9-1 win over Chowan in game two of a twinbill sweep, Bersnstein singled to center to plate a run in the home fifth. In West Chester's 7-2 win over Chestnut Hill in game one of a doubleheader sweep, Bernstein had an RBI single in a four-run sixth and finished the game 2-for-3.

Bucknell sophomore Connor McMenamin (Souderton) was 45th in the steeplechase with a time of 9:25.51 at the Raleigh Relays on Friday.
Holy Family freshman Sean Rahill (William Tennent) broke the school record in the 3000m at the Stockton University Invitational last Saturday. Rahill finished sixth overall with a time of 9:46.73. The previous mark of 10:01.82 was set by teammate Connor Irwin (Hatboro-Horsham) at last year’s Delaware Classic.
St. Joseph’s sophomore Matthew Scarpill (Central Bucks South) finished fourth in the 1500 with a time of 4:04.11 at the Rider 5-Way Meet on Saturday. Ben Bunch (Central Bucks West) was third in the 3000m with a time of 8:57.37. In his collegiate outdoor debut, rookie Kyle Magee (Central Bucks South) won the 400m hurdles (55.55). Freshman Michael Welde (Council Rock North) was a force in the short sprints, winning the 200m in a field of 21 with a time of 22.43. He placed third in the 100m field of 19 with a time of 11.39 and anchored the 4×100 relay that included David Bryant (Upper Dublin) and posted a time of 42.52.
Villanova junior Steve Testa (William Tennent) placed seventh in the long jump with a distance of 6.71 meters at the Penn Challenge last Saturday.
Ursinus College sophomore Griffin McMann (Pennridge) moved up to third in the Centennial Conference with a mark of 38.35 meters in the discus at Widener’s Danny Curran Invitational on Saturday. On Friday at the Danny Curran Invitational, junior Logan Mazullo (Central Bucks West) posted a PR in the 5000m where his 15:57.43 was 25 seconds faster than his previous best. Senior Daniel Powell (Central Bucks East) ran a 16:23.47 in his first career 5K race. Sophomore Griffin McMann (Pennridge) uncorked a throw of 14.27 meters in the shot put, well clear of his 13.16-meter toss in the outdoor opener last week. In last Saturday’s Ursinus Outdoor Invitational, McMann finished fourth in the shot put (43-2.25) and fifth in the discus (120-4.00).
Bloomsburg junior Declan McDonald (Central Bucks West) placed fourth overall in the 3000m steeplechase with a time of 10:56.63 at the West Chester Quad Meet on Saturday.
Gwynedd Mercy junior Joe McCoy (Neshaminy) was named to the Atlantic East Men’s Track & Field Honor Roll for the week ending March 25. McCoy took first in the triple jump at the Golden Ram Invitational hosted by West Chester, notching a top mark of 12.96 meters.
Gwynedd Mercy freshman Elijah Rizzo (Bensalem) was second in high jump (2.00 meters) at the Danny Curran Invitational hosted by Widener on Saturday, claiming his top outdoor mark so far and adding eight team points. Liam Davies (Wissahickon) took fifth in the 110 hurdles (15.75s) for six team points. The time was his best outdoor mark. McCoy was fourth in triple jump (13.45 meters) to pick up five team points. At last Saturday’s Golden Ram Classic, McCoy took first in the triple jump (12.96m). Rizzo finished second in the high jump, clearing 1.85 meters, and Davies was second in the 110m hurdles (18.67). Chris Laskowski (William Tennent) was part of the 4×400 relay team that finished fourth in a time of 3:36.28.
Widener senior Sean Stovall (Springfield Township) finished second in the 400m hurdle finals at the Danny Curran Invitational hosted by Widener, posting a time of 56.14 seconds. He finished ahead of 35 competitors.
West Chester freshman Orio Frazier (Abington) finished third in the 400m dash with a time of 50.16 at Saturday’s quad meet with East Stroudsburg, Kutztown and Bloomsburg. In last Saturday’s Golden Ram Invitational, Frazier posted a pair of third place finishes in both the 200m and 400m.

Senior Danielle DeMichael (Central Bucks East) was part of Gettysburg’s first place 4x800m relay that posted a time of 10:16.92 at the Little Three Meet on Saturday.
Lebanon Valley senior Hannah Kramlik (Pennridge) qualified for MAC’s in the 10,000m run, posting a career-best time of 40:46.18 at the Danny Curran Invitational hosted by Widener on Saturday. Kramlik’s time is fourth best on the Dutchmen’s all-time list.
Monmouth senior Allison Taub (Council Rock South) won the women’s shot put with an ECAC qualifying mark of 46’11.5” in Monmouth’s 203-123 win over Quinnipiac in the 24th Annual Monmouth Season Opener on Saturday. Senior Brianna Stratz (Central Bucks South) finished third in the 400m dash with a time of 57.21.
East Stroudsburg junior Barbara Grossov (Quakertown) had a PSAC qualifying throw in the hammer (140-9) at the West Chester Quad Meet Saturday.
Bloomsburg sophomore Kathleen Stevenson (North Penn) earned All-Region honors in the long jump. The North Penn graduate posted a season-best mark of 5.73 meters at the Bucknell Tune-Up to finish fifth in the region during the indoor campaign.
Bloomsburg junior Jessica Milligan (Pennridge) finished fourth in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:08.80 at the West Chester University Quad Meet on Saturday.
Holy Family freshman Victoria Reid (Bensalem) finished fourth overall in the 3,000m at the Delaware Classic hosted by the University of Delaware on Saturday, crossing the finish line in 13;37.26. Reid also finished sixth overall in the 3000m steeplechase with a time of 14:53.71. Senior Jaclyn Timoney (Council Rock South) finished seventh overall in the triple jump with a distance of 34’1.25” (10.39m). In last Saturday’s Stockton University Invitational, Timoney placed fifth in the triple jump with a distance of 34’0” (10.36m).
Villanova sophomore Cala Lejman (Wissahickon) scored points in pole vault with her vault of 3.16 meters at the Penn Challenge last Saturday.
Shippensburg senior Jackie Kinkead (Central Bucks East) achieved a PSAC qualifying time in the 5K with a time of 18:10.23 at the Fred Hardy Invitational at the University of Richmond on Friday. On Saturday, freshman Kayla Gonzalez (Hatboro-Horsham) and redshirt sophomore Dior Alston (Cheltenham) were part of the 4×400 relay that posted a time of 4:04.87.
Gwynedd Mercy senior Sara Gray (William Tennent) was third in the high jump (1.57 meters) to earn six team points. In last weekend’s Golden Ram Invitational, Alyson Sharkey (North Penn) turned in a 2.85 meter attempt in the pole vault, another PR and a top outdoor mark.
West Chester junior Tara McLaughlin (North Penn) finished first in the 5000m run with a time of 19:10.09 at a quad meet with East Stroudsburg and Kutztown. Caroline DiJiosia (Plymouth Whitemarsh) finished fifth in the 100m hurdles with a time of 15.43. Allison King (North Penn) was fifth in the 400m dash with a time of 1:01.08. Freshman Cara Jackson (Souderton) was fifth in the 200m dash with a time of 26.21. At last Saturday’s Golden Ram Invitational, DiJiosia finished fifth in the 100m hurdles with a time of 16.42 seconds. McLaughlin earned a victory in the 10K run with a time of 39:45.83, which was over eight minutes faster than the time recorded by the second place finisher. Emma Brodhag (William Tennent) was second in the triple jump with a mark of 10.37m. Trish Grove (Central Bucks South) was second in the javelin with a mark of 33.66m.
MEN’S VOLLEYBALL
Brad Nase (Pennridge) had 59 assists in Messiah’s 3-2 loss to Alvernia on Saturday. Marshall Nixon (Pennsbury) contributed nine kills and five block assists. In Messiah’s 3-0 win over Eastern later in the date, Nase had 35 assists and Nixon had six kills. In Wednesday’s 3-0 loss to No. 6 Stevenson, Nase controlled the tempo with 20 assists and two blocks. In last Saturday’s 3-0 win over Vassar, Nase had 34 assists and four kills. In the Falcons’ 3-0 sweep of Mount Union later in the day, Nase dished out 19 assists.
