Freshman Nick Ponente (Council Rock South) was 2-for-2 with a pair of runs scored in Arcadia’s 6-3 win over Messiah in game one of Saturday’s doubleheader split. In Arcadia’s 6-2 loss in game two, sophomore Connor Laigiae (Council Rock South) threw 1.2 scoreless innings in relief. In Wednesday’s 5-4 win over Muhlenberg, Laigiae tossed 2.2 scoreless innings in relief to earn the win, allowing just one hit with two strikeouts. The Rock South freshman is 2-2 on the year. In Arcardia’s 9-2 win over Swarthmore, Ponente was 1-for-2 with two RBIs.
Colton Hooker (Upper Moreland) was 2-for-4 with and home run and three RBIs in Northampton’s 11-0 win over Delaware County Community College on Thursday. Colton’s solo home run in the first inning was his fifth round tripper of the season. In Tuesday’s 17-1 win over Bucks County Community College, Hooker was 3-for-4 with a home run and three RBIs.
Ricky Dennis (Central Bucks South) earned his fourth win in Monmouth’s 5-4 win over Manhattan in game one of a doubleheader split on Saturday. The CB South grad allowed four runs in five innings on the mound. In Wednesday’s 12-2 rout of rival Rutgers, Joe Molettiere (Pennridge) threw the final two innings, allowing a run on two hits.
Junior Cory Capaldi (Souderton) was 2-for-4 in Pace University’s 4-3 win over Bentley University in nine innings on Friday.
Steve Wright (Council Rock South) had four hits in Gettysburg’s doubleheader split at Ursinus on Saturday. The CR South graduate was 2-for-4 in the Bullets’ 7-3 loss in game one, and he was 2-for-5 with a double, RBI and run scored in Gettysburg’s 12-6 win in the nightcap. In Thursday’s 12-4 win over Juniata College, Wright was 2-for-5 with a pair of doubles, three RBIs and a run scored. In Gettysburg’s 3-1 loss at Susquehanna on Tuesday, Wright was 2-for-5 with an RBI.
Joey Nieves-Markee (Bensalem) was 3-for-5 with a run scored in Cairn University’s 8-7 loss to Neumann University on Saturday. In Wednesday’s 16-6 win over Central Penn College, Nieves-Markee was 3-for-4 with one RBI and two runs scored.
Anthony Pletscher (North Penn) delivered a sacrifice fly in Penn State Abington’s 4-1 loss to Rowan University on Tuesday.
Andrew Check (Central Bucks West) launched his second grand slam of the season in Eastern University’s 14-11 loss to FDU-Florham on Friday. In Tuesday’s 6-1 win over Haverford, Check was 2-for-4 with a double, home run, three RBIs and one run scored. He also threw a scoreless inning in relief. Josh Freed (Souderton) tossed two scoreless innings in relief, allowing one hit while fanning two and walking none.
Anthony Rigous (Council Rock North) had a multi-hit day, which included a double, in IUP’s doubleheader sweep at Slippery Rock on Saturday.
John Mullin (Central Bucks South) was 1-for-3 with a double and one RBI in Messiah’s 6-2 win over Arcadia in game two of Saturday’s doubleheader split.
Ryan Kelly (Hatboro-Horsham) pitched around an infield single and passed ball in the ninth to lock down his second save of the season in St. Joseph’s 6-5 win over Bucknell on Wednesday.
Freshman Matt Radwanski (Central Bucks South) earned his second save of the season with a one-two-three ninth in Ursinus College’s 7-3 win over Gettysburg in game one of a doubleheader split on Saturday. In Thursday’s 9-7 loss to DeSales, David Drea (Central Bucks South) allowed a pair of runs in five innings but was not involved in the decision. Radwinski threw a scoreless inning out of the bullpen.
Timothy Broadhag (William Tennent) had a pair of hits in Philadelphia University’s 9-8 win in 10 innings over No. 12 East Stroudsburg on Tuesday.
David Tatoian (Pennridge) was 2-for-4 with a double, RBI and two runs scored while David Blount (Harry S Truman) was 2-for-4 with two RBIs in Gwynedd Mercy’s 8-5 win in the nightcap of a twinbill split Saturday. Jason Mulvey (Bensalem) scored a pair of runs and stole a base. In the Griffins’ 4-2 loss in game one, Shaughn Wright (Pennsbury) hit a two-run home run in the second inning. In Wednesday’s 4-3 win over Alvernia, Zach Dennis (Central Bucks South) threw five shutout innings to earn the win, allowing three hits while striking out three and walking three. Eric Lane (Hatboro-Horsham) was 2-for-4 with one RBI in Kutztown’s 7-1 loss to West Chester in game two of a doubleheader split on Saturday. In KU’s 2-1 win in game one, Lane was 1-for-2 with a run scored. He finished the four-game series against West Chester batting .667 with six hits, three home runs, eight RBIs and five runs scored. In Friday’s 13-3 win over West Chester in game one of a doubleheader split, Lane hit three home runs and drove in seven runs. It was the first three home run performance in KU single game history in over 15 years. Lane’s seven RBIs were the most by a Golden Bear since 2002.
Sophomore Dan Morrin (Central Bucks East) threw a one-two-three ninth inning with one strikeout to earn his first college save in Moravian’s 11-8 win over Elizabethtown on Sunday afternoon.
Freshman Jared Melone (North Penn) was 2-for-5 with an RBI and run scored in La Salle’s 6-3 win over George Washington on Sunday afternoon. In Friday’s 4-2 loss to George Washington, Melone was 2-for-4 with two runs scored.
Junior Brandon DiBona (William Tennent) contributed a two-run single in Chestnut Hill’s 12-3 win over Bloomfield in game one of a doubleheader split on Saturday. In Bloomfield’s 4-3 win in game two, senior Patrick Campion (Norristown) was 2-for-3 and also walked twice. In Wednesday’s 7-6 win in 11 innings in game one of a twinbill sweep of Philadelphia University, DiBona was 2-for-5 with two doubles, one RBI and a run scored, and Campion was 3-for-6 with a double, two RBIs and a run scored. In Chestnut Hill’s 10-5 win in game two, sophomore Patrick Kelly (Central Bucks West) finished with a no decision despite striking out 10 over four innings of work and allowing just two hits and two runs (one earned).

MEN’S BASKETBALL
Senior Ryan Arcidiacono (Neshaminy) contributed 15 points on 5-of-6 shooting from the floor – which included a 3-of-4 effort from beyond the arc – in Villanova’s 95-51 rout of Oklahoma in a NCAA Final Four game in NRG Stadium in Houston, Tex. He also had three rebounds and three assists. Villanova shot 71.4 percent from the floor and missed just five shots in the second half. Villanova will face North Carolina in Monday’s national championship game. Coach Jay Wright, a graduate of Council Rock High School, was named the 2016 Naismith Men’s College Coach of the Year. He is just the third multi-year winner of the award, also winning the award in 2006.
John Brown University (Ark.) senior Luke Moyer (Souderton) has been selected to compete in the third annual Gotham Hoops Invitational in Brooklyn, N.Y., on April 9 at St. Francis College. Moyer is one of 36 college seniors – representing NCAA and NAIA programs from around the country – chosen to participate in this one-day showcase in New York. The event provides an opportunity for seniors to pursue a professional basketball career, nationally and internationally. Players will compete before local fans and overseas personnel, on-site and online. In two previous years, the Gotham Hoops Invitational has connected participants with teams in 20-plus countries. Moyer completed his senior season at John Brown University with a total of 94 three-pointers made this season, good for fifth all-time at JBU for three-pointers made in a season and top seven for three-pointers made per game in the country for NAIA Division One.
MEN’S LACROSSE
Senior Chris Schneekloth (Central Bucks East) matched a career high by winning 14 face-offs and also had a career best 10 ground balls in No. 12 Cabrini’s 25-3 win over Keystone College on Saturday. Senior Austin Edelman (Upper Merion) was credited with two caused turnovers. Freshman Riley White (Plymouth Whitemarsh) improved to 3-1 in the cage and combined with Justin Bullivant to record two saves. The win extended Cabrini’s CSAC winning streak to 96. In Wednesday’s 27-1 win over Neumann University, Schneekloth won 8-of-9 on face-offs while White earned the win in the cage. Freshman John Durkin (Hatboro-Horsham) scored his first career goal and finished the day with two goals and two assists.
Chris Fleming (Upper Moreland) contributed two goals and two assists in Misericordia’s 11-9 loss to Swarthmore on Saturday afternoon. In Wednesday’s 11-10 loss to Elizabethtown, Fleming had a pair of assists.
Senior Liam Duke (Upper Dublin) scored a goal and was credited with a ground ball in Ursinus College’s 15-5 victory at Franklin & Marshall on Wednesday.
Jacob Snavely (Central Bucks South) scored a pair of goals in Gwynedd Mercy’s 8-6 win over Marywood on Saturday. In Wednesday’s 14-4 win over Immaculata, Snavely had three goals and an assist. Nick Guglielmi (Council Rock South) added a pair of goals.
WOMEN’S LACROSSE
Cortnee Daley (Hatboro-Horsham) scored three goals in No. 5 Louisville’s 14-6 win over Brown on Wednesday.
Emily Hawkins (Cheltenham) scored seven goals and also contributed an assist in Keystone College’s 19-8 win over Cedar Crest on Tuesday. In Saturday’s 17-6 loss to Marywood, Hawkins contributed an assist and two caused turnovers.
The University of Pittsburgh club lacrosse team traveled to the Michigan Invitational and swept all four games. A highlight was Pitt’s 17-13 win over the top-ranked team in the country, the University of Michigan. The win included three goals each from Anna Studenmund (Springfield) and Allison Hawkins (Cheltenham). In Pitt’s 17-10 win over Minnesota, Studenmund had a pair of goals and Hawkins added a goal and assist. In a 16-6 win over Miami (Ohio), Hawkins had three goals and one assist, and in Pitt’s 19-9 win over Ohio State, Hawkins and Studenmund each had two goals. In Tuesday’ 17-2 win over Carnegie-Mellon, Studenmund had two goals and an assist while Hawkins had an assist.
Senior Kelly Cross (Upper Dublin) scored a goal in No. 4 Syracuse’s 17-7 win over Connecticut on Tuesday.

Philadelphia University senior midfielder Liz Mower (Souderton) picked up her first Central Atlantic
Collegiate Conference (CACC) Women’s Lacrosse Player of the Week award of the 2016 season for the week ending March 26. Mower tied her season high of seven points with four goals – two free position goals – and three assists in a 13-11 home victory over Queens (N.Y.) to open the week. She came back four days later to rack up four goals – two free position, two assists and a season high two draw controls in a 12-11 loss at St. Thomas Aquinas. Through six games, Mower was leading the Rams with 15 goals, seven assists and 22 points. She is third in the CACC in goals, points and shots (31) and fourth in assists. Mower – the team’s leading point-scorer in each of the last three matches – has scored a conference best nine free-position goals.
Mower tied her career high of seven goals in Philadelphia University’s 19-4 triumph over Post on Saturday. She also had a team-high seven draw controls. Alyssa Matthews (Pennsbury) added a goal and two assists. In Wednesday’s 15-11 win over Georgian Court, Mower had two goals and three assists, and Matthews added a goal. In Tuesday’s 11-6 win over Kutztown, Mower had four goals, one assist and two ground balls. Samantha Ryder (Pennridge) scored the game’s first goal and also had three draw controls.
Senior Ally Frymoyer (Upper Merion) recorded nine saves, including six in the first half in Shippensburg’s 17-6 loss to No. 7 Mercyhurst on Saturday. Sophomore Allison Fugate (Pennridge) scored a goal. In Friday’s 16-13 loss to Gannon, Frymoyer recorded eight saves. In Tuesday’s 9-8 loss to Millersville, freshman Kyra Shank (Souderton) scored twice in the first half. Frymoyer recorded 11 saves, eight in the first half. She also had one caused turnover and collected two ground balls.
Brenda McDermott (North Penn) had two goals and one assist in Temple’s 10-9 loss at No. 2 Florida on Saturday.
Sophomore midfielder Chessie Rahmer (Souderton) contributed two goals and an assist while junior Lauren Green (North Penn) added a single goal in East Stroudsburg’s 17-4 win over Edinboro on Saturday. In Friday’s 12-10 loss to Seton Hill, Rahmer had three goals. In Tuesday’s 8-7 upset of No. 6 Lock Haven, Rahmer had three draw controls and three ground balls and Green had one assist and one caused turnover.
Christy Knipe (Pennridge) had three caused turnovers in Gwynedd Mercy’s 12-4 loss to Immaculata on Tuesday.
Jamie Damirgian (Council Rock South) scored a goal and also was credited with four ground balls and two caused turnovers in Millersville’s 16-10 loss to No. 7 Mercyhurst on Friday. In Tuesday’s 9-8 win over Shippensburg, Damirgian scored one goal.
Makayla Bowman (North Penn) scored three goals in Kutztown’s 12-11 overtime loss to Slippery Rock on Saturday. Goalkeeper Jen Bergey (Souderton) picked up six ground balls and made six saves in her second straight start. In Friday’s 11-10 win over Edinboro, Bergey improved her record to 5-1 on the season, recording 11 saves and tying her career-high with six ground balls. Bowman scored a goal. In Tuesday’s 11-6 loss to Philadelphia University, Bowman scored one goal.
SOFTBALL
Julia Schoenewald (Central Bucks East) was 3-for-7 with a double, two RBIs and two runs scored in Brown University’s doubleheader split at UMBC on Wednesday. In Brown’s 5-3 loss, Schoenewald was 2-for-4 with a run scored, and in Brown’s 5-1 win over UMBC, the Central Bucks East graduate doubled to left center to score a pair of runs.
Junior Lauren Quense (Neshaminy) earned win number eight with her third shutout of the season in Fordham’s 6-0 win over St. Joseph’s in game two of a doubleheader sweep on Saturday. The junior pitcher threw seven innings of four-hit ball with one walk and two strikeouts. In Thursday’s 1-0 win at Iona, Quense relieved starter Rachel Gillen in the fifth and held on for her seventh win, throwing five innings of two-hit, no-run ball. She allowed just two hits, two walks and struck out four.
Senior Morgan Decker (Central Bucks South) had three hits in Lehigh University’s doubleheader sweep at Penn on Wednesday. Decker had a pair of hits, including a double, in Lehigh’s 6-3 win in game two. She now has 199 hits for her career.
Senior Haileigh Stocks (Central Bucks South) belted a home run in each game of Robert Morris University’s sweep of Wagner in Saturday’s Northeast Conference (NEC) opener. Both broke tie games and pushed RMU ahead. Her long ball in the opener provided what proved to be the winning run. She finished the day with four RBIs. Stocks now has four home runs this season and 13 in her career. In RMU’s 6-5 win in game one, Stocks led off the sixth by blasting a 1-2 pitch well over the fence in left center to put the Colonials on top. With two outs in the fourth inning of RMU’s 6-5 win in game two, Stocks hit a three-run home run to give the Colonials a lead they would not lose. It was her team-leading fifth multi-RBI performance of 2016, the 12th of her career. In RMU’s 3-2 win over Kent State in game one of a doubleheader sweep on Wednesday, Stocks delivered a two-out RBI single in the fourth that gave the Colonials the lead.
Dominique Pinto (Council Rock North) smashed a three-run home run in the University of Connecticut’s 15-2 win over Bryant in game two of a doubleheader sweep on Wednesday. The Rock North grad finished the game 2-for-4 with five RBIs and a run scored. In UConn’s 2-0 win in game one, Pinto singled and scored a run.
Lauren Klepchick (Central Bucks South) walked twice and scored a run in the University of Rhode Island’s 12-5 loss to Dayton on Friday. Her second walk was the 45th of her career, which ranks 14th in program history. She also had seven putouts at first base. In URI’s 10-9 win over Maine on Wednesday, Klepchick singled.
Sophomore Koraima Dudley (Neshaminy) smacked a three-run triple in Delaware Valley University’s 7-4 win over the College of Saint Elizabeth in game one of a doubleheader sweep. She finished the twinbill 3-for-5 with two runs scored.
Nicole Casagrand (Hatboro-Horsham) picked up her first win of the season in UMBC’s 10-2 win over Coppin State in game two of a doubleheader sweep. She allowed two hits, two unearned runs and struck out two in the abbreviated five-inning contest.
Heather Lutz (Hatboro-Horsham) contributed a pair of doubles while Jaynie Black (Hatboro-Horsham) was 1-for-2 with two RBIs and a run scored and Megan Hallock (Hatboro-Horsham) was 1-for-3 with an RBI in Millersville’s 7-0 win over Shippensburg in game one of a doubleheader sweep Thursday. In Millersville’s 4-3 win in game two, Lutz was 1-for-3 with a double, RBI and run scored. Black was 1-for-3 with an RBI, and Hallock was 1-for-2 with a double, RBI and run scored. Lutz finished the doubleheader with three doubles and an RBI to improve her batting average to .329.
Kutztown freshman leadoff hitter Sara Keeny (William Tennent) was named the PSAC Eastern Division
Athlete of the Week for the week ending March 27 for her performances in two PSAC weekend series. Keeny hit .533 over the weekend with a team high eight hits and finished a perfect 3-for-3 in stolen bases. She went 4-for-4 in game one against Shippensburg with two runs scored. In the twinbill at East Stroudsburg, Keeny went a combined 4-for-8 with three runs and two stolen bases. The Golden Bears swept both weekend doubleheaders against SU and ESU and won 13 straight. Keeny is one of the best hitters in the conference with a batting average of .490, the second best in the PSAC and seventh highest in all of Division II. She leads the conference with 28 runs, 49 hits and 17 stolen bases.
Christina Bascara (Pennsbury) was 1-for-3 with a run scored in La Salle’s 4-3 win over Saint Louis on Saturday in game one of a twinbill split. In the Explorers’ 10-2 loss in game two, Bascara was 2-for-3 with a run scored.
Lauren Creamer (Neshaminy) collected one of her team’s two hits in Susquehanna’s 8-0 loss to No. 22 Messiah in game two of a doubleheader on Saturday.

Katelyn Reiss (Bensalem) was 4-for-4 with two doubles and the first home run of her collegiate career in Cairn University’s doubleheader against Centenary. In Tuesday’s 17-6 loss to Valley Forge, Reiss was 3-for-4 with a run scored.
Emily Wrenn (Hatboro-Horsham) earned the win in the circle in Penn State Abington’s 3-1 win over Gallaudet in game one of a doubleheader sweep Saturday, allowing four hits while striking out three. She did not allow an earned run. In the Nittany Lions’ 7-0 win in game two, sophomore Becca Dougherty (Council Rock South) earned her second win of the season, allowing four hits while striking out five in the shutout. In the Nittany Lions’ 6-4 win in game one of a doubleheader split with Misericordia Thursday, Dougherty drove in two runs with a pair of sacrifice flies. In Tuesday’s 9-8 loss to Arcadia, Amy Worek (Abington) was 1-for-3 with a double, two RBIs and a run scored.
Michelle Holweger (North Penn) was the big bat in Lock Haven’s doubleheader sweep of Clarion on Saturday. The North Penn grad went 4-for-6 with six RBIs over the two-game set, both 8-0 Lock Haven wins. In game two, she was 3-for-3 with five RBIs and two runs scored. In Friday’s 4-0 win over Pitt-Johnstown in game one of a doubleheader sweep, Holweger had a pair of hits. In Lock Haven’s 4-1 win in game two, Holweger was 2-for-3 with two RBIs and a run scored.

In Friday’s 5-1 win over Mansfield in game one of a twinbill sweep, Mayhew was 2-for-4 with a double and run scored. In the Huskies’ 6-1 win in game two, Mayhew singled and drove in a run. Bridget Casey (Pennridge) was 3-for-4 with an RBI. In Tuesday’s 6-2 win over Holy Family in game one of a doubleheader sweep, Mayhew was 2-for-3 with a solo home run, RBI and run scored. Mohammed Ammouni (Bensalem)notched a 6-2, 6-4 win at first singles and was part of the first doubles team that earned an 8-5 win in Penn State Abington’s 9-0 win over Eastern University on Wednesday. Brandon Zweiback (Cheltenham) earned a 6-1, 6-0 win at sixth singles and was part of the third doubles team’s 8-3 win.
Peter Brzezinski (Hatboro-Horsham) earned a 6-0, 6-0 win at first singles and was part of the first doubles team that won 8-1 in Gwynedd Mercy’s 9-0 win over Alvernia on Wednesday.
WOMEN’S TENNIS
Amanda Shulski (Neshaminy) earned a 6-2, 6-3 win at second singles in Penn State Abington’s 8-1 win over Wells College on Saturday. She also was part of the second doubles team that won 8-1. Honora Hegarty (Abington) was part of the first doubles team that notched an 8-2 win. In Tuesday’s 7-2 loss to Eastern University, Hegarty earned a 4-6, 7-5, 6-4 win at first singles.
Maureen Devlin (Wissahickon) earned a 3-6, 7-6, 7-4 win at second double in St. Joseph’s 4-3 loss to Drexel on Wednesday.

University of Pennsylvania sophomore Jeff Wiseman (Council Rock South) clocked a career best mark of 1:51.65 in the 800m run at the Florida Relays in Gainesville, Fla.
Shippensburg junior Jalen Ramsey (Norristown) finished third at the 51st Annual Colonial Relays at William and Mary with a NCAA-provisional clearance in the high jump of 6 feet, 8 ¾ inches, which puts him atop the conference performance list. Sophomore Alex Balla (Quakertown) posted a PSAC qualifying time of 15:10.72 in the 5K.
Ursinus sophomore Jequan Mitchell (Upper Merion) was seventh in the 100 (11.37) and 12th in the 200 (22.90) at Widener’s Danny Curran Invitational on Saturday. Freshman Evan Cirafesi (Upper Merion) ran a personal best in the 1500 (4:27.28).
Philadelphia University’s Shane Fleming (Upper Merion) posted a time of 4:40.77 and Saad Traboulsi (Bensalem) crossed the finish line in a time of 4:46.55 at Widener University’s Danny Curran Invitational on Saturday.
La Salle sophomore Joseph Leconey (North Penn) posted a time of 1:57.04 and finished 21st in the unseeded section of the 800m at the Colonial Relays on Saturday at the College of William and Mary. Junior Chris Sanders (Upper Merion) turned in a time of 49.26 in the 400m dash for a 13th place finish in the 90-man field. Sophomore Fran Ferruzzi (Upper Dublin) had he top La Salle finish in the seeded 5000m run with a 24th place finish in 14:51.10.
Widener junior Alex Cucciarre (Souderton) notched a best throw of 179’8” for a fifth place finish at the Danny Curran Invitational on Saturday.
Julien Freeman (Harry S Truman) was part of Lock Haven’s 4×200 relay that posted a time of 1:30.68 at the 2016 Colonial Relays hosted by the College of William & Mary. It is the second fastest time in school history and missed the school record by 0.08 seconds. Freeman was sixth in the long jump with a PSAC leap of 21-07.25. Lamier Dodson (Bensalem) finished second out of 25 in the ‘University’ hammer throw with a PSAC mark of 149-00.
Kutztown sophomore Khalid Weems (Upper Dublin) won the 110m hurdles in Saturday’s tri-meet with Bloomsburg and East Stroudsburg, posting KU’s only new PSAC mark of the day with a career-best time of 49.68. Senior Ron Smith (Neshaminy) finished second with an existing PSAC and season-best mark of 49.89. Anthony Bullaro (Pennsbury) won the 110m hurdles, recording a career-best and existing PSAC mark of 15.02 seconds. Obi Ogboma (Harry S Truman) posted a season best time of 16.78 and finished seventh. Kutztown won the tri-meet with 124 points.
Bloomsburg sophomore Alex Moran (Pennridge) finished second in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:00.04 in Saturday’s tri-meet against Kutztown and East Stroudsburg.
East Stroudsburg senior Eric Conard (Souderton) hit a PSAC qualifier in javelin (169-9), finishing first in the event at Saturday’s tri-meet against Kutztown and Bloomsburg. Sophomore Montel Johnson-Troupe (Pennsbury) posted a PSAC qualifying time in the 100m dash (11.17), finishing fifth. He finished third in the 200m dash (23.28). Junior Sean Hagerty (Pennridge) had a new PSAC mark in the long jump (21-7 ½). Johnson-Troupe and Hagerty were part of the third place 4×100 relay (44.39).
WOMEN’S TRACK & FIELD
Messiah junior Natalie Ross (Souderton) finished eighth in the 1500m run with a time of 5:03.13 at the 2016 Danny Curran Invitational at Widener University on Saturday.
Pitt sophomore Melanie Vlasic (North Penn) set a personal record and posted an ACC qualifying time, finishing fourth in her heat at the Stanford Invitational with a time of 4:27.23.
Bloomsburg junior Keelan McDonald (Central Bucks West), in her first race of the season, was fourth in the 3,000m run with a time of 11:13.37 in Saturday’s tri-match against Kutztown and East Stroudsburg.
Widener sophomore Allison Gallagher (Souderton) crossed the finish line of the 400m run with a time of 1:12.11 for a sixth place finish at the Danny Curran Invitational on Saturday.
Shippensburg freshman Jackie Kinkead (Central Bucks East) finished first in the 5K (University) at the 51st Annual Colonial Relays at William & Mary with a time of 17:59.82. Allison King (North Penn) and Lindsay Sheehan (Pennridge) were part of the 4×4 relay that posted a time of 3:54.68. On Friday, King posted a PSAC qualifying time of 12.59 in the 100m dash.
Temple sophomore Megan Schneider (Hatboro-Horsham) posted a new personal best time in the 5000m with a time of 18:25.53 at the College of William & Mary’s Colonial Relays. Junior Sydnee Jacques (North Penn) had a triple jump of 11.15 meters.
Moravian sophomore Casie Cronk (Quakertown) tied for fifth in the high jump at 1.57 meters (5-1.75), and sophomore Beth Ann Davies (Quakertown) was tied for fifth in the pole vault at 2.89 meters (9-5.75) at the Muhlenberg College Invitational Saturday.
East Stroudsburg junior Kelley Anne Stuetz (Cheltenham) had a PSAC time in the 400m hurdles (1:06.59), finishing first in Saturday’s tri-meet against Kutztown and Bloomsburg. She also finished first in the 100m hurdles (16.01). Freshman Victoria Matthews (Abington) turned in her third PSAC mark of the spring, qualifying in the long jump (17-4) after previously qualifying in the 400m and high jump. She finished first in the event.
Kutztown sophomore Anecia Alexaki (Upper Merion) shared the title in the pole vault with teammate Justine Ebbert with matching heights of 10-2 at Saturday’s tri-meet with Bloomsburg and East Stroudsburg. Stephanie Bresadola (North Penn) finished third in the 300m in 11:10.37. Taylor Thames (North Penn) was ninth in the 200m (28.39), and Bridget Perdoch (Pennsbury) finished seventh in the shot put (33-6).
West Chester sophomore Courtney Taylor (Central Bucks South) won the 100m dash with a PSAC qualifying time of 12.63 at the WCU Open last Saturday. She finished fourth in the 200m dash (26.38). Emily Magnant (Hatboro-Horsham) was runner-up in the 200 with a PSAC time of 26.11. Caroline DiJosia (Plymouth Whitemarsh) finished second in 100m hurdles with a time of 16.37. Dara Lindsey (Central East) was third in the 400m with a time of 59.67. Emily Dusellier (Souderton) won the 800 with a PSAC qualifying time of 2:19.68 that slots her 10th all-time at WCU.
MEN’S VOLLEYBALL
Daniel Ford (Council Rock North) recorded 46 assists in No. 15 Saint Francis University’s 3-2 win over Princeton on Saturday. In Friday’s 3-2 loss to NJIT, Ford recorded 49 assists.
Christian Lizana (Pennridge) contributed four kills and seven digs in No. 8 Vassar College’s 3-0 win over Wells College on Saturday. In Thursday’s 3-0 win over NYU, Lizana had a breakout game for the Brewers, finishing with 10 kills, three aces and three digs. It marked the third match this season that the junior outside hitter has gone over double-digit kills.
Micah Godshall (Souderton) had 12 kills and Andy Willits (North Penn) added eight in Cairn University’s 3-0 loss to Juniata on Saturday. Willits also led the team in digs with four. In Friday’s 3-2 win over Thiel College, Godshall had 13 kills and Willits added 12.
