Joe Molettiere (Pennridge) earned his second win after getting a save in the first game of the series, firing five innings in relief with four strikeouts in Monmouth’s 6-5 win over Niagara in game two of a twinbill split on Sunday. Justin Andrews (Neshaminy) fired three shutout innings in Monmouth’s 6-4 loss to Niagara in game one, striking out two.
Trey Guaglionona (Abington) was 2-for-2 with a run scored and Matt Meyers (Cheltenham) was 1-for-3 with a double and two RBIs in Penn State Abington’s 4-1 win over SUNY Poly in game one of a doubleheader sweep on Saturday. In Friday’s 5-4 win over Cazenovia in game one of a doubleheader sweep, Trey Guaglionona was 2-for-3 with an RBI and two runs, and Meyers was 1-for-3 with an RBI and run scored. Bret Guaglionona (Abington) was 1-for-2 with a double, RBI and run scored. In the Nittany Lions’ 10-1 win in game two, Meyers was 2-for-3 with a double, RBI and run scored. In last Sunday’s 8-5 win over Keuka in game two of a twinbill sweep, Trey Guaglionona was 3-for-3 with a double, three RBIs and a run scored.

Senior Mike Kacergis (Pennridge) had an RBI single and scored a run in DeSales University’s 11-3 win over Misericordia in game one of a doubleheader sweep on Saturday. In Wednesday’s 15-5 win over Moravian, Kacergis had two hits, two RBIs and a run scored.
Sophomore Nick Ponente (Council Rock South) was a perfect 3-for-3 with a double, RBI and run scored in Arcadia’s 8-1 win over Messiah in game one of a doubleheader split last Sunday.
Kadar Namey (North Penn) contributed a two-run double in St. Joseph’s 13-5 win over Rider on Wednesday. He finished the game 2-for-5 with a double and two RBIs.
Zach Conley (Pennsbury) earned the complete game win in Northampton’s 8-2 win over NJAA Division II Valley Forge Military College on Saturday in game one of a doubleheader sweep. He allowed two runs on five hits while striking out nine. In Thursday’s 23-0 win over Montgomery County Community College, Colton Hooker (Upper Moreland) was 4-for-5 with a double, home run and five RBIs. In last Sunday’s 7-6 win in game two of a doubleheader sweep of fourth-ranked Brookdale, Hooker was 1-for-3 with a home run and two RBIs.
Jared Melone (North Penn) recorded a three-hit game in No. 12 West Chester’s 9-3 win over Mansfield in game one of a doubleheader sweep on Saturday, finishing the game 3-for-4 with a home run, three RBIs and one run scored. In West Chester’s 4-1 win in game two, Melone was 2-for-4 with a run scored. In Friday’s twinbill sweep of Mansfield, Melone scored four runs. In West Chester’s 5-4 win in the opener, Jon Fisher (Plymouth Whitemarsh) earned the win, tossing six innings and allowing three runs on four hits while fanning six and walking two. Robert Knox (Upper Moreland) was 3-for-3 with a double and run scored.
Senior right fielder Cory Capaldi (Souderton) knocked in two runs and scored two more after going 1-for-3 in Pace University’s 9-4 win over Saint Rose in game one of a doubleheader sweep on Saturday.

Gwynedd Mercy's Jared Gorman (North Penn) was named to the weekly CSAC Baseball Honor Roll for the week ending April 23. Gorman worked six scoreless innings, scattering four hits, to pick up the win over Centenary to start the week. He needed just 56 pitches to get through six innings of work.
Gwynedd Mercy sophomore Nick Mulvey (Bensalem) was named to the weekly CSAC Baseball Honor Roll for the week ending April 23. Mulvey was 9-for-18 (.500) as the Griffins won all four games. He scored six runs, drove in five, stole two bases, tallied a triple, and hit two home runs, including the first of his career. In a win over Centenary, he was 3-for-5 with two runs and two RBIs. His four hits in the second game of the doubleheader with Cabrini were a career high.
Jason Mulvey (Bensalem) was 2-for-2 with a double, stolen base and two runs scored in Gwynedd Mercy’s 5-0 win over Immaculata in game one of a doubleheader split on Sunday. Dave Tatoian (Pennridge) was 1-for-3 with two RBIs. In the Griffins’ 8-5 loss in game two, Nick Mulvey (Bensalem) singled and drove in a row, and Tatoian had one hit and two RBIs. In Friday’s 10-3 loss to Immaculata, Jason Mulvey led off the game with a home run to right field. Nick Mulvey had a single, RBI and stolen base, and Shaughn Wright (Pennsbury) had an RBI single. The loss snapped an eight-game winning streak for the Griffins. In Monday’s 10-5 win over No. 13 TCNJ, Wright had three hits and scored twice, and Jason Mulvey was 2-for-2 with a run scored.
Kyle Wenger (Souderton) had two hits and two RBIs in Delaware Valley University’s 11-7 loss to Eastern University in game one of a doubleheader split on Saturday.
Anthony Rigous (Council Rock North) was 2-for-4 with two doubles, two RBIs and a run scored in IUP’s 10-7 win over California in game one of a doubleheader sweep on Friday. In Saturday’s 6-2 win over California in game two of a doubleheader split, Rigous was 2-for-3.
Freshman Tom Nuneviller (Pennridge) had a two-RBI double, stole second and scored in East Stroudsburg’s 7-5 win over Lock Haven in game one of a twinbill sweep on Saturday. In ESU’s 8-5 win in game two, Casey Saverio (Hatboro-Horsham) was 2-for-2 with a double, two stolen bases and two runs scored. In Wednesday’s 15-5 win at the University of the Sciences, Nuneviller was 2-for-5 with a triple, two RBIs and one run.
Matt Matricardi (Upper Dublin) threw a scoreless eighth inning and earned the win in Kutztown’s 6-5 win over Albright on Monday night at First Energy Stadium.
Sophomore Carter Usowski (Central Bucks East) was 3-for-6 with a double, three RBIs and three runs scored in Ursinus College’s 13-5 win over Washington College on Saturday in game two of a doubleheader split. In the Bears 7-6 loss in game one, Usowski had a double and two RBIs. In Friday’s 3-1 loss to Muhlenberg, sophomore David Drea (Central Bucks South) held the Mules to one hit in 6.2 innings, but a two-run single in the seventh put the visitors ahead for good. It was the only hit he allowed while striking out five and walking four. Junior Matt Radwanski (Central Bucks South) struck out four and allowed one hit and one run over the final 2.1 innings.
Senior Greg McDonough (Wissahickon) had a two-run double in Widener’s 4-3 win over Hood in game one of a doubleheader sweep on Saturday. In Friday’s 8-5 loss to Hood, McDonough had a three-run triple, finishing the game 2-for-4 with three RBIs.
Sophomore designated hitter Zach Szumigala (Pennsbury) delivered a two-out double to left center in the eighth inning to propel Chestnut Hil to a 3-1 win over Dominican College in the nightcap of a doubleheader split on Monday. In the third inning, sophomore Vincent Case (William Tennent) manufactured a run with a leadoff single, a stolen base, a move to third on a grounder to short and hustling home on a two-out wild pitch to knot the score 1-1. Szumigala finished the game 2-for-4. In Friday’s 22-7 loss to Philadelphia University, Case homered and drove in three runs.
Blake Gular (Souderton) hit a solo home run in the fifth inning of Bloomsburg’s 5-1 loss to Millersville in game one of a doubleheader on Saturday.
FOOTBALL
Villanova defensive end Tanoh Kpassagnon (Wissahickon) was chosen in the second round of the 2017 NFL
Draft by the Kansas City Chiefs with the 59th pick. He is the first Wildcat to be drafted since offensive tackle Ben Ijalana was selected in the second round of the 2011 draft. The former Wissahickon star started all 13 games for the Wildcats in 2016 and led the CAA and ranked in the top 15 nationally in both quarterback sacks (11) and tackles for a loss (21.5). He also tallied 45 total tackles, two fumble recoveries, one forced fumble and a blocked kick. He finished the season with at least one sack in nine of 13 games. He was named the Colonial Athletic Association’s Defensive Player of the Year in 2016 and was a consensus first team All-American, earning All-America honors from the Associated Press, Sports Network, Walter Camp Foundation and the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA). A three-time member of the CAA All-Academic Team, Kpassagnon graduated in May of 2016 with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance. He earned a second degree in December of 2016 in Accountancy.
MEN’S GOLF
Cabrini junior Clay Anders (Souderton) carded a round of 81 to post a 36-hole total of 160 to finish 10th at the 2017 Colonial States Athletic Conference Championship on Saturday. In Wednesday’s 298-381 win over Delaware Valley University, Anders’ round of 77 was good for third.
St. Joseph’s junior Tyler Sokolis (Central Bucks West) is tied for 34th at 71-77/148 after Saturday’s second round of the 2017 Atlantic 10 Championship at the Villas of Grand Cypress Golf Resort in Orlando, Fla. Friday’s 71 was a one-under-par.
Millersville has qualified for the NCAA Atlantic/East Super Regional for the fifth consecutive season. The Marauders were ranked seventh in the Atlantic Region and will compete for a berth to the national championships at the Resort at Glade Springs in Daniels, West Virginia. Rodney Anders’ 76.2 scoring average is second on the team, and he will be making his second appearance at the super regional.
MEN’S LACROSSE
Princeton freshman Michael Sowers (Upper Dublin) is putting together the best season ever by an Ivy
League freshman. When the names of the final 25 nominees for the Tewaaraton Trophy were announced on Friday morning, Sowers – who leads the Ivy League and is fourth in Division I in both points and assists – was the lone freshman in the prestigious group of nominees. The Tewaaraton Trophy is given annually to the top player in college lacrosse. The five finalists will be announced on May 11, and the winner will be announced in Washington, D.C., on June 1. Sowers was not on the original watch list but was a midseason addition during a dominant season while helping Princeton back into the national rankings. Sowers has already set the Ivy League record for points in a season by a freshman with 77 (37 goals, 40 assists), and he is the only Ivy League freshman ever – and only Princeton player ever – with at least 30 goals and 35 assists in a season. He is second all-time in the Ivy League in goals by a freshman with 37 (two away from Cornell’s Sean Greenhalgh in 2002). Sowers is third all-time in the Ivy League in assists by a freshman with 40. He is the fourth Princeton player ever to reach 70 points in a season, and he sits one point away from the school record of 78 set in 2015.
Sowers had four goals and three assists in Princeton’s 18-17 loss to Cornell on Saturday. Second-seeded Princeton will play third-seeded Brown in Friday’s Ivy League semifinal.
Misericorida junior Chris Fleming (Upper Moreland) and teammate Matt Beck were named the MAC Freedom Players of the Week for the week ending April 23. The UM graduate totaled 11 points on six goals and five assists. He also had five ground balls and three caused turnovers. Fleming had three goals and three assists in a 14-6 win over King’s and added three goals with two assists in a 14-8 win over FDU-Florham.
Fleming reached the 100 career goal mark in Misericordia’s 16-13 win over Delaware Valley University on Tuesday. He finished with two goals and an assist. Fleming is tied for the team scoring lead with 44 points (29 goals, 15 assists). He is seventh in career points (150), seventh in goals (100) and sixth in assists (50).
Sophomore Riley White (Plymouth Whitemarsh) recorded seven saves in 20 minutes of action in Cabrini’s 18-3 win over Gwynedd Mercy on Wednesday.
Sean Fechter (Pennridge) scored two goals and scooped up three ground balls in Eastern University’s 16-3 win at Wilkes University on Wednesday.
Freshman Evan Scott (Upper Dublin) scored his first career goal in Ursinus College’s 16-10 win over Muhlenberg on Wednesday.

Sophomore Julie Cross (Upper Dublin) recorded a career-high six draw controls in No. 2 Syracuse’s 20-13 win over No. 7 Virginia Tech in the quarterfinal of the ACC Women’s Lacrosse Tournament on Thursday, helping Syracuse to a 20-14 advantage in the draw circle.
Brenda McDermott (North Penn) scored a pair of goals in Temple’s 19-15 loss to UConn in the final game of the regular season on Saturday. Temple will be making its second straight BIG EAST Tournament appearance next week.
Freshman Devon Mela (Council Rock North) had a team-high four goals in Abright’s 14-3 win over Alvernia on Saturday.
Alyssa Matthews (Pennsbury) had a goal and two assists and teammate Samantha Ryder (Pennridge) added one goal in Philadelphia University’s 16-15 overtime win over Dominican College in Saturday’s Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference semifinal.
Keystone College junior Emily Hawkins (Cheltenham) was named to the All-Colonial States Athletic Conference second team for the second year in a row. The junior midfielder led the Giants with team-high 42 goals to go along with seven assists. Hawkins tallied three game-winning goals while contributing 38 draw controls, 25 ground balls and 16 caused turnovers.
Hawkins scored a goal in Keystone’s 17-7 loss to Neumann University in the opening round of the CSAC playoffs on Saturday.
Sophomore Melissa Felicetti (Upper Moreland) scored four goals in Penn State Abington’s 21-13 win over Wells College on Saturday. Veronica Baez (Upper Moreland) added a goal and an assist. In Friday’s 16-12 win over Keuka College, Baez led the team with four goals. Felicetti had three goals and one assist.
Tori Wigand (Central Bucks South) had a goal and an assist in Bloomsburg’s 14-12 win over Kutztown on Wednesday.
Junior midfielder Chessie Rahmer (Souderton) had four goals and an assist in No. 15 East Stroudsburg’s 16-8 win over No. 19 IUP on Saturday. She also had four ground balls and five of ESU’s 16 caused turnovers. Senior Lauren Green (North Penn) had one goal and five assists. The win secured the No. 1 seed in next week’s PSAC Tournament. Senior Julia Schoenewald (Central Bucks East) hit an RBI triple in Brown’s 6-4 loss to Yale on Saturday. In Thursday’s 4-0 win over Harvard, Schoenewald hit a two-run home run. It was her second home run of the season and seventh of her career.

In Cabrini’s 11-0 win in game two, Hall hit a grand slam while senior Taylor Gallagher (Central Bucks South) earned the win, allowing one hit in three shutout innings while striking out two and walking none.
Nikki Alden (Williams Tennent) was 3-for-3 with a double, RBI and run scored in Villanova’s 7-4 win over DePaul in game one of a doubleheader sweep on Saturday. In the Wildcats 8-2 win in game two, Alden was 3-for-4 with two RBIs and two runs scored. The former Tennent slugger leads the Wildcats with a .406 batting average (52-for-128) with six doubles, three triples, nine home runs and .711 slugging percentage. She has a team-high 41 RBIs.
Senior Lauren Quense (Neshaminy) went the distance for the 14th time this season, notching her 19th win of the year in Fordham’s 2-1 win in game one of a doubleheader sweep of Dayton on Saturday.
La Salle senior Suzanne Swanicke (Pennsbury) was named the Atlantic 10 Co-Player of the Week for the week ending April 23. The senior hit .667 on the week (10-for-15) with 11 RBIs and five runs scored as La Salle went 4-1 against Drexel and Saint Louis. Six of her 10 hits were for extra bases, including three homers, on the way to a 1.467 slugging percentage. The Pennsbury graduate homered and doubled in each game of a doubleheader sweep at Saint Louis after going 6-for-6 with two runs and five RBIs in a doubleheader sweep of Drexel. Swanicke had an on-base percentage of .706 for the week.
Angelina Refice (Central Bucks West) was 2-for-2 with a double and RBI and Swanicke was 2-for-4 with a double, RBI and run scored in La Salle’s 5-4 loss to Massachusetts on Sunday. In Saturday’s 6-5 win over UMass in game one of a twinbill split, Mackenzie Obert (Pennsbury) hit a two-run home run to cap a three-run sixth that put La Salle ahead for good. Jackie Heim (William Tennent) was 3-for-3 with three runs scored out of the leadoff spot, and Christina Bascara (Pennsbury) was 2-for-3.

In Friday’s 11-0 win over Rosemont in game one of a doubleheader sweep, Becki Christoffers (North Penn) was 2-for-3 with a double, RBI and three runs scored, and Canfield added a double, RBI and two runs scored.
Ally Horvath (Central Bucks South) is part of a senior class that won its 100th game as a result of Widener’s 3-0 win over Lebanon Valley in game one of a doubleheader split on Friday. Freshman Jamie Gosselin (Abington) was 2-for-3 with a run scored in the win. In Widener’s 4-3 loss to Alvernia on Monday, Horvath delivered a two-run double.

Hughes earned her fourth win, allowing one unearned run on just five hits while striking out three in the complete game win. She also drove in three runs. In Wednesday’s 2-0 loss to Misericordia, Hughes absorbed the loss but allowed just four hits while fanning a pair.
Katelyn Reiss (Bensalem) had a pair of RBIs in Cairn University’s 4-3 win over Rosemont in game one of a doubleheader split on Saturday. In Monday’s 12-1 win over Trinity in game one of a twinbill sweep, Reiss was 2-for-3 with two RBIs and two runs scored.

Penn State Abington freshman Tarik Dashields (Cheltenham) earned first team All-NAC honors at the second flight doubles after he and teammate Prerak Patel earned an 8-2 win over Penn State Berks during the NAC West Individual Tournament.
Penn State Abington sophomore Sean Kimball (Central Bucks East) earned second team All-NAC recognition and also earned second team honors at the top flight for doubles.
Penn State Abington’s Alexander Dunetz (Wissahickon) was named to the second team All-NAC at the third flight.
WOMEN’S TENNIS
Honora Hegarty (Abington) earned a 6-3, 6-0 win at the top flight and was part of an 8-4 win at first doubles in Penn State Abington’s 5-2 win over Penn State Berks on Saturday in the NEAC Tournament title match. Stephanie Jin (Wissahickon) won by default at second flight. In Wednesday’s 9-0 win over Penn State Berks, Hegarty was a 6-0, 6-1 winner at the top flight singles and was part of an 8-2 win at first doubles while Jin was a 6-4, 6-3 winner at second singles and an 8-6 winner at second doubles.
MEN’S TRACK & FIELD
Pitt senior Chris Spadaro (Council Rock South) opened Day 3 of the Penn Relays on Saturday by placing 12th in the triple jump with a leap of 14.16m. On Friday, Spadaro leaped to a mark of 6.93m in long jump to place 13th out of 38 competitors.
Junior Mitch Schlegel (Souderton) was part of Elizabethtown’s 4x400m relay team that broke 3:20 in the mile relay for the first time since 2012 in the Pop Haddleton MAC heat at the Penn Relays on Friday. In a nine-team heat, the Blue Jays finished fourth in 3:19.09, the sixth fastest 4x400m relay time in school history. On Saturday at the Blue Jay Tune Up, Schlegel finished first in the 100m (11.28) and 200m (22.42).
Freshman David Bryant (Upper Dublin) was part of St. Joseph’s 4×200 relay that crossed the finished line in a season-best time of 1:27.96 for 21st in a field of 37 at the Penn Relays on Saturday.
Shippensburg junior Alex Balla (Quakertown) finished second in the 10K with a time of 33:47.82 at the Paul Kaiser Classic on Saturday.
Joseph Leconey (North Penn) and Chris Trimble (North Penn) were part of La Salle’s 4x800m relay that crossed the finished line in a time of 7:41.64 for 27th of 41 teams at the Penn Relays on Saturday.
Sophomore Sean Stovall (Springfield) was part of Widener’s 4x400m relay team that finished first in the Pop Haddleton MAC section at the Penn Relays on Saturday, completing the race in 3:16.85. The mark ranks ninth in the nation among NCAA Division III schools and was less than a second shy of eclipsing the school record. On Wednesday at the Haverford Midweek Invitational, freshman Sean Mazlin (Council Rock North) punched in a pair of fourth place times by finishing the 100m dash in 11.59 seconds and the 200 in 23.67.
Anthony Bullaro (Pennsbury) and Jhaloni Johnson (Springfield) were part of Kutztown’s 4x100m relay that broke the 16-year-old school record at the Paul Kaiser Classic on Saturday at Shippensburg, finishing in 41.02 to easily break the school record of 41.64 set in 2001. Since entering KU’s top 10 in ninth on March 25, the quartet has moved from ninth to third and now to first in the span of just over a month. The relay team beat out host Shippensburg by .05 seconds to take the team title. The time was good for the first NCAA provisional for KU this outdoor season. Brandon Raguz (Central Bucks South) took home the pole vault title by clearing 4.75m (15-07.00) to beat out 22 other competitors. On Friday at the Penn Relays, Bullaro and Johnson were part of the 4×400 relay team that finished seventh in their heat and 43rd overall with a time of 3:20.20. In the pole vault, Raguz posted his best jump of the season and tied for the best of his career. He cleared 4.85m (15-11) for a new NCAA provisional mark that also ties his career best of eighth all-time in KU outdoor history.
Bloomsburg freshman Matthew Hart (Pennsbury) became a PSAC qualifier in both the shot put and hammer throw at the Huskies’ annual Maroon and Gold Invitational on Saturday. He started the day with a third place finish in the hammer with a mark of 44.66 meters – a season best – and then finished fourth in the shot put with a mark of 13.89 meters. He narrowly missed his third qualification with a throw of 48.61 meters in the javelin – less than four-tenths of a meter lower than the PSAC standard of 49.00 meters. Junior Alex Moran (Pennridge) posted a career-best time in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 16.05 – just one-hundredths of a second off of the PSAC standard. He finished second in both the 110m hurdles and in the 400m hurdles.
Junior Montel Johnson-Troupe (Pennsbury) was part of East Stroudsburg’s 4×200 relay that is now ranked No. 4 all-time after posting a time of 1:27.60 at the Penn Relays on Friday. On Saturday at the Lehigh games. Johnson-Troupe finished fifth in the 200m with a season-best time of 22.76.
WOMEN’S TRACK & FIELD
Sophomore Brianna Stratz (Central Bucks South) was part of Monmouth’s 4x800m relay that finished sixth with a school record time of 8:33.19 at the Penn Relays on Saturday. The teams ahead of Monmouth were Villanova, Penn State, Stanford, Duke and UConn. Sophomore Allison Taub (Council Rock South) placed ninth in the women’s shot put with a toss of 14.40m (47’3”). At the Lehigh Games, Taub finished first in the women’s shot put with a mark of 14.91 (48’11”). The throw is second in school history.
Elizabethtown junior Kelsey Brady (Council Rock South) won the 1500m at the Blue Jay Tune UP on Saturday. Lia Chak (Council Rock South) was eighth in the 100m and fifth in the 200m, and Liz Wedekind (Pennsbury) was eighth in the 1500m.
Duquesne sophomore Shannon Taub (Council Rock South) finished first in the high jump with a leap of 5-3 at the Bucknell Team Challenge last Saturday.
Erin Farrell (Neshaminy) was part of Ursinus College’s 4x400m relay team the crossed the finish line in 4:03 to place fourth in the Centennial/MAC heat at the Penn Relays on Thursday night. It was relay team’s best time since 2012.
Freshman Dior Alston (Cheltenham) was part of Shippensburg’s 4x400m relay that posted a time of 3:49.31 to finish first at the Paul Kaiser Classic on Saturday. The time was just a second off both a NCAA provisional time and the meet record and moved the relay team all the way up to the PSAC’s No. 2 seed. Alston also finished fifth in the 200 with a PSAC qualifying time of 25.73. Junior Lindsay Sheehan (Pennridge) crossed the finish line of the 200 in a season-best time and PSAC qualifying time of 25.91 to finish eighth. She also was part of the first place 4×100 relay that posted a time of 47.79. Maria Antoni (Upper Moreland) was part of the first place 4×800 relay that finished in 10:21.91.
Kutztown’s Stephanie Bresadola (North Penn) finished fifth in the 800m run with a PSAC existing time of 2:21.49 at Shippensburg University’s Paul Kaiser Classic on Saturday. Olivia Morano (Quakertown) finished 12th in the discus throw with a throw of 33.21m (108-11). She was 17th in the hammer throw with a throw of 34.10m (111-10).
Temple senior Sydnee Jacques (North Penn) earned a spot in the finals of the triple jump with a leap of 12.00m at the Penn Relays on Friday. Her final mark of 12.14m landed her just under her personal best (12.15), marking her best performance of the season and a sixth place finish overall.
Moravian junior Casie Cronk (Quakertown) tied for ninth in the high jump at 1.50 meters (4-11) at the non-scoring Lehigh University Games on Saturday. Senior Lauren Suelke (Quakertown) finished ninth in the triple jump with a distance of 9.94 meters (32-7.5).
Junior Allison Gallagher (Souderton) was part of Widener’s 4x400m relay team that finished first in the Centennial/MAC section at the Penn Relays on Thursday, setting a school record in the event by completing the race in 4:03.13. The mark bettered the previous program standard of 4:03.49, which was set nearly 15 years ago at the Middle Atlantic Conference Championships on May 4, 2002. On Wednesday at the Haverford Midweek Invitational, Gallagher captured the individual crown in the 100m high hurdles with a season-best mark of 16.16 seconds.
Bloomsburg senior Jessica Quesenberry (Wissahickon) finished first in the 1500m run at the Huskies’ Maroon and Gold Invitational on Saturday. Freshman Jessica Milligan (Pennridge) was part of the 4x100m relay that posted a season-best time of 48.86 to finish first. The time was six one-hundredths of a second away from tying the school record of 48.80 set back in 1982.
East Stroudsburg freshman Barbara Grossov (Quakertown) posted a new PR in the shot put as she earned a ninth place finish with a throw of 38-9 at the Lehigh Games on Saturday. Grossov had already qualified for next weekend’s PSAC meet.
MEN’S VOLLEYBALL
Senior Christian Lizana (Pennridge) had six kills in Vassar College’s 3-0 loss to New Paltz in the 2017 NCAA Championship quarterfinals. Vassar’s season ends with a school record 26 wins while also posting the longest win streak in the program history with 13 consecutive wins, along with the first trip to the NCAA Tournament.
