MEN’S CROSS COUNTRY
Gettysburg freshman Dylan McKeever (Central Bucks East) placed 96th with a time of 29:43 at the Division II/Division III Challenge at Kutztown University on Saturday. In the 52nd annual Little Three Meet hosted by Dickinson College last week, McKeever finished 22nd with a time of 17:01.
Cairn University sophomore Joel Varughese (Bensalem) posted a time of 29:33.50 to finish 47th at the Bill Fritz/Charlie Way Invitational on Saturday.
Holy Family University sophomore Connor Irwin (Hatboro-Horsham) was selected to the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Men’s Cross Country Honor Roll for the week ending Sept. 3. Irwin finished second overall at the 17th annual Wilmington University Invitational as he completed the 8K course in a time of 29:08.7.
Irwin was the second Holy Family runner and 32nd overall to cross the finish line at the Philadelphia Metro Classic at Belmont Plateau with a time of 30:57.0 last weekend.
Bloomsburg sophomore Declan McDonald (Central Bucks West) posted a time of 28:12 to place 48th overall and add 45 points to the team score at the DII/DIII Challenge hosted by Kutztown University on Saturday.
Shippensburg senior Alex Balla (Quakertown) cracked the top 10 with a time of 26:54 at the Division II/III Challenge hosted by Kutztown University.
Villanova sophomore Casey Comber (Hatboro-Horsham) crossed the finish line first out of 46 runners at the Main Line Invitational. The Hatboro-Horsham grad covered the four-mile course in 19:20.8, the fifth fastest time ever by a Wildcat runner on the Haverford course and half a second faster than he himself ran in winning the race last year.
WOMEN’S CROSS COUNTRY
Delaware Valley University freshman Brynn Reese (Upper Dublin) posted a time of 31:25.2 at the 18-squad DII/DIII Challenge hosted by Kutztown University on Saturday. In last Saturday’s Fordham Fiasco that featured 72 athletes competing in the 5K race, sophomore Alyssa Ruffolo (Hatboro-Horsham) finished 14th with a time of 21:32.41. Reese posted a time of 16:16.01.
Elizabethtown junior Kelsey Brady (Council Rock South) finished third with a time of 16:30 at the fifth annual Blue Jay Alumni Challenge on Sept. 9 that saw the Blue Jays defeat the alumni 21-36.
Shippensburg junior Jackie Kinkead (Central Bucks East) finished 28th with a time of 24:28.6 at Kutztown University’s Division II/III Challenge on Saturday. Maria Antoni (Upper Moreland) placed 35th with a time of 24:43.4. Shippensburg finished fourth as a team. In the season-opening 2017 Galen Piper Alumni Open/Cross Country 4K Challenge, junior Lindsey Gerlach (Central Bucks West) finished 17th with a time of 15:32. Antoni posted a time of 15:51.
Freshman Hannah Knudsen (Hatboro-Horsham) rounded out Lehigh’s top seven scorers with a time of 22:45.03 at the school’s annual dual meet against Lafayette that saw the Mountain Hawk women run past the Leopards 15-50. It is the first ever perfect score for the Mountain Hawk women against Lafayette in the history of the dual meet between the two rivals.
Junior Stephanie Bresadola (North Penn) led Kutztown with a 16th place finish in a time of 24.02 out of 195 total runners at the 8th annual Division II/III Challenge on Saturday.
FIELD HOCKEY
Rachel Konowal (Plymouth Whitemarsh) ran her point streak to five games with an assist in Monmouth University’s 9-0 win over Brown last Sunday.
Senior Emma Rosenthal (Central Bucks East) set a career high with 19 saves in Muhlenberg’s 3-0 loss to 14th-ranked Franklin & Marshall on Saturday. Rosenthal made nine of her saves in the first half to keep the Mules tied with the Diplomats at the half. Stopping shots against the Diplomats is nothing new for Rosenthal – her previous high of 10 saves was set against F&M in 2015 and tied against the Diplomats last year in the Centennial Conference playoffs. The 19 saves are the most by a Mule goalie since Kristen Dorenburg set a school record with 26 against Ursinus in 2010. In Muhlenberg’s 4-1 win over King’s, Rosenthal provided a highlight by stopping a Monarch breakaway for one of her four saves. In Muhlenberg’s 1-0 loss to DeSales, Rosenthal recorded six saves.
Goalkeeper Emily Hawkins (Cheltenham) made three saves in Keystone College’s 1-0 loss to Wesley College on Saturday. In Keystone’s 5-0 win over Bryn Athyn, Hawkins picked up the win without making a save in the first 54:17 of action when she was relieved by Megan Novak, who closed out the shutout over the final 15:43.
Amanda Blum (Neshaminy) picked up her first career point with an assist in Quinnnipiac University’s 4-2 win over Yale.
Senior Carie Baldus (Hatboro-Horsham) notched her first career hat trick in Delaware Valley’s 6-1 non-conference win over Moravian on Friday. Senior Kara Imes (North Penn) added an assist.
Senior Courtney Konowal (Plymouth Whitemarsh) scored a goal in No. 7 Kutztown’s 3-2 loss to No. 1 East Stroudsburg on Tuesday. In last Sunday’s 3-1 win over Queens University at Spooky Nook Sports in Lancaster – home of USA Field Hockey, Konowal scored late in the first half.
Senior Rachael Mueller (William Tennent) scored twice in a three-goal second half in Temple’s 3-1 win at Holy Cross on Sunday afternoon. She now has four goals this season to lead Temple, along with four assists for a team-best 12 points. In Friday’s 4-2 loss at Providence, Mueller had a pair of assists. In Temple’s 9-1 loss at No. 14 Northwestern, sophomore Becky Gerhart (Quakertown) had a defensive save, and Mueller scored the Owls’ only goal.
Sophomore Erin Saybolt (Souderton) jumpstarted the Bears with a goal just over a minute into Ursinus College’s 4-0 win over McDaniel on Saturday, and sophomore Abbie Roberts (North Penn) scored her first career goal, following up a shot by Saybolt. Junior Jules Singer (Council Rock North) split time in the cage in the shutout. In Thursday’s 2-0 win over Elizabethtown, Saybolt scored a goal, and Singer picked up her sixth career shutout in goal. In the Bears’ 4-3 loss at William Smith, Saybolt scored her first goal of the season, and Singer recorded six saves. In the Bears’ 3-0 loss to No. 1 Messiah, Singer did her best to keep her team in contention, recording 10 saves, including a pair of back-to-back sequences in the second half. Singer’s 10 saves gave her back-to-back games with double-digit saves.
Marissa Elizardo (North Penn) recorded three saves and surrendered one goal in just over 58 minutes of work in No. 4 West Chester’s 4-1 win over Ursinus College in the 71st annual Snell Cup on Sunday. In Saturday’s 2-1 win over Mansfield, Elizardo made multiple big saves to preserve the win, including a huge save in the closing seconds. She finished the game with eight saves. In Tuesday’s 5-1 win over No. 6 Bloomsburg, Elizardo recorded four saves.
Madison Kubik (Bensalem) scored her first goal of the season, the equalizer with 58 seconds left in the first half, in Elizabethtown’s 2-1 upset of 16th-ranked Muhlenberg last Saturday.
Kristin Donohue (Council Rock South) scored a goal in No. 1 Messiah’s 7-0 win over Juniata College on Wednesday. In last Saturday’s 2-1 win over No. 3 Salisbury in overtime, Donohue had an assist on the game-winning goal.
Emily Cliggett (Central Bucks South) contributed an assist in Villanova’s 7-1 win over LIU Brooklyn.
Junior Jackie Shragher (Council Rock South) was credited with a defensive save in eighth-ranked Bloomsburg’s 3-2 overtime loss to top-ranked Shippensburg last Saturday.
Gwynedd Mercy junior Maggie Walsh (Central Bucks South) was named to the Colonial States Athletic Conference honor roll for the week ending Sept. 3. Walsh netted the game-winner with 22 seconds remaining in regulation in the Griffins’ 3-2 comeback win over King’s.
Kaila Brown (Abington) had two goals in Gwynedd Mercy’s 10-2 win at Goucher last Sunday. Jamie McCarney (William Tennent) contributed an assist. In Gwynedd Mercy’s 7-0 win over Delaware Valley, Abigail Gabriel (Souderton) and Madison Reiss (Pennridge) each scored a goal while Brown had an assist.
Freshman Caroline McGovern (Council Rock South) contributed an assist in Boston College’s 4-0 win over Providence.
Freshman Amber Blackshear (North Penn) recorded her first collegiate goal on a breakaway midway through the second half of La Salle’s 2-0 win over Saint Louis on Sunday.
FOOTBALL
Junior captain Josh Adams (Central Bucks South) rushed for 229 yards in three quarters – which included runs of 64 and 65 yards – in Notre Dame’s 49-20 win over Boston College on Sunday. In Notre Dame’s 20-19 loss to Georgia a week earlier, Adams had 55 yards on the ground.
Delaware Valley University senior Nick Wright (Council Rock South) was named the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Defensive Player of the Week and also was named to the D3football.com Team of the Week for the week ending Sept. 3. Wright notched 10 tackles, two sacks, one forced fumble, one safety and returned a fumble 70 yards for a touchdown in the Aggies’ 24-19 season-opening win over No. 11 Wesley College. The touchdown came in the second quarter with DelVal ahead 10-3 but Wesley driving into Aggie territory. The safety put the squad up 24-12 in the fourth quarter.
Wright intercepted a pass at the Lycoming 36-yard line in 12th-ranked Delaware Valley’s 34-3 win at Lycoming last Saturday.
Albright sophomore Kevin Goetz (Neshaminy) was named the Special Teams Player of the Week for the week ending Sept. 9. The Neshaminy graduate made all six of his point-after-touchdown (PATs) and averaged 44 yards on three punts in the conference opener against Misericordia. Goetz also averaged 59 yards on eight kickoffs.
Senior linebacker Kevin Duggan (Central Bucks West) returned an interception 31 yards for a score in West Chester’s 62-28 win over Edinboro on Saturday. He also had five tackles. Mike Class (Pennridge) blocked a punt early in the second quarter, and teammate Justice Smith scooped up the ball at the 12-yard line and took it in for a touchdown. He also had seven carries for 33 yards. Zack Hockman (Pennridge) also had five tackles.
Khari Jefferson (Abington) hauled in a five-yard touchdown pass in Albright’s 50-17 win over Misericordia.
Kutztown University running back Craig Reynolds (Abington) led the PSAC in all-purpose yards for the week ending Sept. 3 and earned the first PSAC Eastern Division Athlete of the Week honor of the season. Reynolds ran for 335 all-purpose yards and two touchdowns in Kutztown’s 31-28 loss to Assumption. He had 133 rushing yards, including touchdown runs of 38 and 43 yards. He also had 34 receiving yards, 108 kick return yards and 60 punt return yards on three returns. His two rushing touchdowns gave him 18 for his career. The 335 all-purpose yards are the second most in a game in school history, behind only the school record 345 Reynolds posted last year at East Stroudsburg.
Reynolds rushed for 116 yards – which included a 30-yard touchdown run – in Kutztown’s 62-17 win over Seton Hill on Saturday. He also hauled in a 57-yard touchdown pass and finished the game with four catches for 97 yards. He had 169 of his 222 all-purpose yards in the first quarter, jumping more than five spots to sixth in school history with 3,237 career all-purpose yards. Senior Josh Lee (Abington) had his first career touchdown catch and finished the game with five catches for 88 yards. Jalen Nieves (Bensaem) and Luke Snyder (Pennsbury) both had a team-high seven tackles. In Kutztown’s 21-16 road victory at Mercyhurst last Saturday, Reynolds scored three touchdowns as part of a 21-point run. He found the end zone twice in the second quarter on receiving touchdowns, including one for 57 yards in the final minute to give KU a 14-10 lead at the half. Reynolds capped a seven-play, 58-yard drive with a two-yard touchdown run. He had 205 all-purpose yards, including a career-high 125 receiving yards on eight catches. He ran the ball 22 times for 52 yards and a score. Lee had three catches for 27 yards. Defensively, Nieves led the charge with 11 tackles, including nine solo stops and a strip-sack. Snyder had six tackles.
Redshirt sophomore JR Stevens (Neshaminy) intercepted a pass and returned it 38 yards for a touchdown in sixth-ranked IUP’s 38-14 win over East Stroudsburg last Saturday.
Sophomore quarterback Thomas Garlick (Quakertown) was 12-for-18 and threw for 148 yards in Ursinus College’s 35-28 win over Juniata in Saturday’s Centennial Conference thriller. Sophomore Stacey Gardner (Upper Dublin) had 56 yards on the ground. In last Saturday’s 35-28 win over Gettysburg, Garlick capped a 75-yard, go-ahead drive with a 14-yard touchdown pass with 55 seconds remaining. Garlick, who had completed just 10-of-24 passes until the game-winning march, hit on all five of his attempts for 84 yards on the drive. For the game, the Quakertown grad was 15-for-29 for 240 yards and the winning touchdown. He also had 40 yards on the ground. Gardner picked up 153 yards on 26 carries.
Sophomore Eric Dzienisewski (Quakertown) intercepted a pass in Shippensburg’s 31-0 road shutout at Clarion on Saturday. It marked the third straight game to start the season that he has intercepted a pass. He also had two tackles. In Shippensburg’s 41-33 win at Gannon last Saturday, Dzienszewski intercepted a pass in the end zone. He also had a team-high eight tackles.
MEN’S GOLF
La Salle freshman David Kim (Upper Dublin) shot a 233 at the Alex Lagowitz Memorial Invitational, the opening tournament of the fall season. Kim shot consecutive rounds of 76 to lead the Explorers on the first day of the tournament. He carded six birdies over 36 holes, which tied for the 11th most in the field of 84 golfers.
Lenny Welch (Souderton) led Widener with a round of 80 to tie for 17th after the first round at the season-opening Swarthmore-Neumann Invitational.
WOMEN’S GOLF
West Chester junior Juliarose Genuardi (North Penn) shot an 83 and finished 32nd with a score of 165 at the Michael Corbett Fall Classic last weekend. West Chester finished sixth. In the opening round, Genuardi carded an 82. At the Evann Memorial tournament, Genuardi was the top performer for the Golden Rams, scoring a 166 (81-85) for the two rounds. She placed 10th overall.
MEN’S SOCCER
Kristopher Gross (Pennridge) deflected the ball past the keeper for his second goal of the year in Bloomsburg’s 2-1 loss to Lock Haven on Wednesday. In Bloomsburg’s 5-4 come-from-behind win over Daemen College last Sunday, Austin Transue (Neshaminy) scored the game winner, heading a goal into the back of the net in the 84th minute. Gross and Brian Kilcoyne (Bensalem) both scored their first goals of the year in the contest.
Austin Daniels (Central Bucks East) sent a corner kick into the box that resulted in the game winner in Delaware Valley University’s 1-0 win over Penn State Brandywine on Wednesday.
Redshirt senior Matt Robinson (North Penn) netted his team-leading third goal of the season in La Salle’s 2-1 win over Lafayette on Saturday night. In Wednesday’s 2-0 win over Saint Peter’s, Johnny Ciarlante (William Tennent) netted his first goal of the season on a header in front of the net. Robinson had the helper on the play, giving him three assists and seven points on the year.
Jose Palomeque (Upper Dublin) scored an early goal in Penn State Abington’s 2-1 overtime loss to Neumann University on Saturday. In Thursday’s 3-1 win over Wesley College, senior Chris Van Pelt (Central Bucks West) scored his first goal of the season. In the Nittany Lions’ 2-0 loss to Roanoke College, sophomore goalkeeper Kevin Sykes (Springfield Township) recorded a season-high seven saves from the 19 shots he faced.
Holy Family junior Matt Tracey (Abington) was among those listed on the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Men’s Soccer Honor Roll for the week ending Sept. 4. Tracey placed a key role in the team’s 4-0 win over Saint Thomas Aquinas, scoring the first goal in the 18th minute and then came through with another score in the 70th minute. His two goals through the first two games of the season tied a career high for him.
Sophomore Colin Marks (Pennsbury) scored the Raiders only goal in Shippensburg’s 2-1 loss at Salem International. In Shippensburg’s 2-2 draw against West Virginia Wesleyan, junior Cole Kropnick (Wissahickon) scored twice.
Widener sophomore Jordan Katz (North Penn) was named the Middle Atlantic Commonwealth Conference Defensive Player of the Week for the week ending Sept. 3. Katz did not allow a goal, playing all 200 minutes between the pipes during a 1-0-1 week for the Pride. The pair of blankings were the first clean sheets of his college career. He made eight saves in a 3-0 win over Penn State Abington before coming up with four stops in a double-overtime draw against Cabrini.

WOMEN’S SOCCER
Freshman Shannon McGuinn (William Tennent) scored with one minute left in overtime to propel Allegheny to a 1-0 win at Grove City College on Tuesday. After collecting a loose ball in front off a corner kick, McGuinn found the net in the 99th minute on the Gators’ lone shot of the extra session. It marked McGuinn’s team-leading third goal of the season and first career game winner. In Allegheny’s 6-1 win over Geneva, McGuinn had a pair of goals.
Junior Shaelyn McCarty (Central Bucks West) scored her team’s only goal in Drexel’s 2-1 loss to Monmouth University.
Sarah McDonald (Pennsbury) had three saves in McDaniel’s 2-1 victory over Ursinus on Saturday. In Wednesday’s 2-0 win over Frostburg, McDonald backstopped the defense for a fourth straight shutout with three saves in goal.
Senior Crissy Terraces (Plymouth Whitemarsh) broke a scoreless tie in the 50th minute to help lead Albright to a 1-0 win over King’s at home on Saturday night. In Albright’s 3-0 win over Penn State Abington on Tuesday, Terraces tallied her team-leading third goal of the season in the 20th minute after chipping the ball from the box past the Nittany Lion goalkeeper. In Albright’s 4-1 non-conference loss at DeSales, Terraces scored her team’s only goal.
Megan Schafer (Neshaminy) tallied the fastest goal to start a game this season when she found the back of the net at 3:03 in No. 8 Penn State’s 3-0 win over Northwestern on Thursday.

Saint Joseph’s University junior Grace Bendon (Central Bucks West) was named the Atlantic 10 Co-Defensive Player of the Week for the week ending Sept. 9. The CB West graduate played a key role in the Hawks’ 1-0 win over previously undefeated Ohio State. In goal, Bendon turned in one of the best games of her career, posting a game-high nine saves – eight in the second half – to earn her second shutout of the year. Playing every minute of the season to date for SJU, Bendon has posted a 4-1-1 record on the year with 1.28 goals-against-average and .800 save percentage.
Senior co-captain Anna Budny (Council Rock North) made her season debut for Ursinus College, starting in the backfield in the Bears’ 2-1 loss to Elizabethtown on Tuesday.
Gwynedd Mercy freshman Victoria Braeunle (North Penn) was named the CSAC Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for the week ending Sept. 10. In the Griffins’ 2-0 win over Delaware Valley, Braeunle assisted on the first tally and added a second-half score. She scored twice and assisted on a third goal in a 5-0 win over John Jay College.
Gwynedd Mercy junior Kailey Hopkins (William Tennent) was selected as the CSAC Defensive Player of the Week for the week ending Sept. 10 on the heels of earning honorable mention recognition for the week of Sept. 3. Hopkins was sharp in net in Gwynedd Mercy’s 2-0 win over Delaware Valley, recording five saves. She did not allow a goal in 74 minutes of action in a 5-0 win over John Jay College. In the Griffins’ 1-0 loss to Muhlenberg, Hopkins recorded 12 saves.

In the Griffins’ 5-0 win over John Jay last Saturday, Braeunle scored a pair of second-half goals. Cassidy Rudd (Pennsbury) had an assist in the win. Hopkins was forced to make just one save in the shutout. In Gwynedd Mercy’s 2-0 win over Delaware Valley, Braeunle had a goal and an assist. Hopkins recorded five saves.

Kaitlyn O’Connor (William Tennent) earned a 6-2, 6-1 win at seventh singles at the King’s College Women’s Tennis Invitational.
Saint Joseph University’s Maureen Devlin (Wissahickon) earned a 6-2, 6-3 win in singles play at the Towson Tiger Classic. Katherine Devlin (Wissahickon) notched a 6-3, 0-6, 10-4 win.
Sophomore Aubrianna Stetina (Quakertown) earned a 6-3, 6-4 win at fifth singles in East Strousburg’s 5-3 loss at Scranton on Saturday. In ESU’s 5-4 loss at Caldwell, Stetina earned a 6-0, 6-0 win at fifth singles.
WOMEN’S VOLLEYBALL
Kate Woolsey (Central Bucks East) tallied six kills and eight aces in Delaware Valley University’s 3-0 sweep of Centenary University on Friday. In Wednesday’s 3-0 loss at Misericordia, Woolsey had five kills, six digs and one service ace. In Tuesday’s 3-1 loss at Cedar Crest, Woolsey had six kills, 12 digs and four service aces.
Cabrini freshman Steph Judkins (Pennridge) was named the CSAC Player of the Week and also earned Division III South Rookie of Week honors from the ECAC for the week ending Sept. 10. Judkins anchored the Blue and White’s offensive effort as the team posted a 3-1 mark at the Buttermaker Tournament at Muhlenberg College. The Cavaliers sandwiched wins over Neumann (3-1), Muhlenberg (3-0) and SUNY Cortland (3-1) around a 3-1 loss to Virginia Wesleyan. Judkins was named to the Buttermaker All-Tournament Team after posting three double-doubles over the weekend with 64 kills, 48 digs and six totals blocks while hitting .224. In Cabrini’s final match of the weekend, Judkins posted 20 kills, marking the freshman’s second 20-kill match of the season. Through eight matches Judkins ranks among the best hitters in the country. The freshman ranks 20th in Division III in kills per set (4.14) and total kills (116) while her 11.61 attacks per set and 325 total attacks rank 21st and 26th respectively. A week earlier, Judkins was recognized by the CSAC with her selection to the CSAC Honor Roll after posting 52 kills and 51 digs as the Cavaliers went 2-2 at the season-opening Virginia Wesleyan College Tournament. Judkins burst onto the scene with a double-double in her collegiate debut, tallying 11 kills, 16 digs and a pair of blocks in Cabrini’s loss to Marymount. One day later, Judkins posted a monster 25-kill, 25-dig performance in a five-set loss to Randolph-Macon.
Judkins earned a spot on the All-Tournament team at the Neumann University Knights Invitational on Saturday. Judkins had a double-double with 16 kills and 11 digs in Cabrini’s 3-2 win over Salisbury. In Cabrini’s sweep of Catholic University, Judkins posted 12 kills. On day two of the Buttermarker Tournament last weekend, Judkins had a match high 17 kills and 11 digs in Cabrini’s 3-1 win over Muhlenberg. Fellow rookie Morgan Collito (Council Rock North) paired eight kills and 11 digs. In Cabrini’s 3-1 win over SUNY Cortland, Judkins had 20 kills and 13 digs while Collito paired 10 kills, 12 digs and a career best five service aces in the win. Judkins and Collito were also named to the All-Tournament Team.
Haley Sheehan (Quakertown) had eight kills and one block in Cairn University’s 3-0 loss to Elizabethtown on Thursday. In Tuesday’s 3-0 sweep of the College of Staten Island, Sheehan shared the team lead with 10 kills. In Cairn’s 3-2 win over Gwynedd Mercy, Sheehan had 17 kills, and in Cairn’s 3-0 loss to Lancaster Bible, Sheehan had seven kills.
Senior Cecilia Weir (William Tennent) had 12 digs in Holy Family’s 3-1 win over Georgian Court University on Thursday.
Senior Taylor McCartney (Pennsbury) had 12 kills in Ursinus College’s 3-0 loss to Rowan on Saturday. In the Bears’ 3-1 loss to Catholic University at the Catholic University Tournament last weekend, McCartney had a team-high 12 kills. In a 3-1 loss to Wesley, McCartney had nine kills and six digs.
Junior Bridget Terrel (Central Bucks East) had three aces in Shippensburg’s 3-1 win over West Virginia State at the 2017 PSAC/MEC Crossover last weekend. In the Raiders’ 3-1 win over Charleston, Terrel had four service aces.
Gwynedd Mercy freshman Cait Saalfrank (Pennridge) earned her second straight Colonial States Athletic Conference honorable mention recognition in volleyball for the week ending Sept. 10. The rookie libero etched herself into the program record books, tying a single-game record with 32 digs as the Griffins opened CSAC play on Saturday at Cairn. In that five-set thriller, she added five aces and four assists. In the home opener against Penn State Abington, she recorded 19 digs, three assists and two aces. Saalfrank was named to the all-tournament team at the DeSales Invitational, averaging double-digit digs in four matches.
Saafrank had 14 digs and two aces in Gwynedd Mercy’s 3-0 loss to Keystone College in a tri-match Saturday. She had 23 digs in Gwynedd Mercy’s 3-1 loss to Wilson later in the day. In Wednesday’s 3-0 loss at Goucher, Saalfrank recorded her fifth match in a row with double-digit digs (10). In Tuesday’s 3-0 sweep of Bryn Athyn, Saalfrank had 16 digs and three aces, and Cassie McCarney (William Tennent) had 14 digs. In a sweep of host Valley Forge on Tuesday, Saalfrank had 23 digs and four aces. In Gwynedd Mercy’s 3-2 loss to Cairn last Saturday, McCarney had a career-high 10 kills to go along with 20 digs for her first career double-double. Saafrank totaled a match-high five aces and 32 digs.
