Pennridge coach Maddie Dachowski: “A fun Friday win for the Pennridge Rams at. Bensalem. The Rams saw nine different players hit the back of the net with 50 percent of goals being assisted.
—Rams show depth: “It was great to see the whole team contributing today from starters to the second string. We had a great showing from all players on the field. We saw six goals each from our top goal scorers Madigan Posey and Taylor Burkett. Leah Verespy made her presence known today on the playmaking side of things with five assists. Her sister, Kayla Verespy, followed her lead and contributed two assists on the day. Harper Posey was a difference maker on both ends of the field with three points, a caused turnover, ground ball and three draw controls. Paige Cowper impressed me with three assists and a goal off a fast break crease roll. We saw a goal each from Lily Quigley, Colbie Landherr, Aubrey Bailey, and Cayla Wurz. Strong Defensive stand as always from our full group, including swing player Jenna Verespy getting playing time the full fourth quarter.”
–Player props: “Emma Gall stood out to me today and did a great job on the field with our varsity unit. Emma has grown a lot this season, she is a freshman swing player who is going to make a huge splash throughout her career at Pennridge. It was great to see a spark of that today! She put away two goals, had an assist, a caused turnover and a draw control. She has great speed and lax IQ. You’ll definitely be hearing the name Emma Gall in seasons to come!”
—Looking ahead: “Overall we are very excited for our game this upcoming Monday versus Wissahickon. They are a great team with a similar record and season to us. This is going to be a great game to prepare us for the playoffs and I know my girls are hungry for a big win.”

We lost a few players due to injury and cards and also had some players down with sickness so it was a very resilient win. Ofelia Rusiloski had a monster game on the defensive end and caused three huge turnovers and picked up an additional three ground balls. Grace Naylor also had an excellent game and continues to lead the defensive unit. Ainsley Shissler, Zola Morelli, Olivia Barrett and Kamryn Brownlow led a balanced midfield unit contributing in all aspects of the game. Sofie Fitzmartin and Ellie Rosato also stepped in and played poised in key roles as we were low on players.”

COUNCIL ROCK NORTH 6, CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 4
The Indians – who trailed by one after a quarter – took a 3-1 lead into halftime and extended that to 6-2 after three quarter on their way to their 13th win overall and upped it conference record to 7-1.

CB East coach Kelly Tait: “I am so proud of these girls today. We knew this was going to be a tough game against a very good opponent. We went in with a game plan and the girls executed it with proficiency across all sections of the field. Both teams were putting up good defensive efforts and the game remained scoreless until 4:37 left in the first quarter when Paige Dougherty scored off of a free position. With 41 seconds left in the quarter CRN scored to even it up but 10 seconds later Cece Hayes grabbed the draw and fed Amanda Ries who found the back of the net so we could enter the break up 2-1. CRN came back to go up 3-2 in the 2nd quarter and held onto the lead but I’m so proud of how our defense really shut down lots of scoring opportunities and played cohesively as a unit today and Abby DiAmico was having a career day in goal, coming up with 10 saves.”
Up next: Council Rock North (13-2, 7-1 SOL) will host Central Bucks West on Wednesday, and Central Bucks East (7-7, 3-5) will host Abington on Monday in a non-league game.

Under scorching 90-degree heat and a punishing 3:30 p.m. start time, Council Rock North and Central Bucks East delivered a battle of heart, hustle, and grit in a hard-fought lacrosse showdown.
The blazing conditions didn’t slow down either team early, but it was the Council Rock North defense that anchored the Indians through the toughest stretches. Goalie Lucy Carney was once again a game-changer, turning away shot after shot and finishing with a stellar 70 percent save percentage. Her relentless effort between the pipes kept the Indians in control during key momentum swings.
Backed by defenders Keiley Lyons, Abby Steadman, Addison Kohler, and Ella G, CRN’s defense held strong, frustrating the CB East offense and protecting their lead in critical moments.
On the offensive end, Ellie Carney—Lucy’s sister—continued her standout season with another hat trick, scoring three clutch goals to keep the Indians in the fight. With the game on the line, senior Jordie Zazoff delivered a powerful 8-meter goal that gave Council Rock North the lead for good and shifted momentum their way.
Olivia Espozito and Catherine McBride each added a goal to round out the scoring in what was a total team effort across both ends of the field.

Springfield Twp coach Katrina Borzelleca: “The game started off with both teams trading goals in a back-and-forth battle. Their goalie made some key saves early on that kept the score tight. We made some mistakes in the beginning but discussed them after the first quarter and the team responded well after that. What I asked of them, they did – and they made the necessary adjustments and settled into a good rhythm together. As the game progressed, we began to play more of our game and do the things that we needed to do to succeed.”
–Balance on attack: “One of the things that I love about this team is how selfless they are. We had five different girls score goals for us today and each one of them had at least one assist as well.
–Props: “Ella McLaughlin led the way with a six-point game (3g 3a) and has been playing really solid lacrosse for us as of late. We have girls, when asked to play a different position if needed, that step right in with no hesitation. Murphy McGranahan has been a great example of that – stepping in to play defense for several games and today playing midfield and getting both a goal and an assist as well. I couldn’t be more proud of the effort they put in and how they are playing for each other – makes it so fun to coach a team like this.”
Up next: Springfield Twp (8-8, 6-4 SOL) will travel to Germantown Friends for a non-league game Monday. Lower Moreland (7-8, 3-5) will travel to Upper Moreland on Monday.
