NESHAMINY 13, QUAKERTOWN 2 (5 innings)
Zahmira Coppolla-Miller has been on a bona fide tear this season, but she’d be hard pressed to have a more productive day than she did in Friday’s non-league win over Quakertown.
“We hit well up and down the lineup, but no one had a better day at the plate than Zahmira,” Neshaminy coach Sarah Martoccio said. “She hit a solo home run yesterday and then came in today and went 3-for-4 with a grand slam and a two-run homer and eight total RBIs.”
Led by Coppolla-Miller’s remarkable showing, the Redskins rolled to the mercy rule win. They also received multi-hit performances from Addie Pennisis, who had three hits. Morgan Leonhauser added a pair of hits.
Molly Ambrosius earned the win in the circle, limiting the Panthers to just four hits.

Molly Ambrosius (5.0 IP, 4H, 2R, 2ER, 2BB, 4K)
Key inning: Bottom of fourth: A pair of walks and a single by Leonhauser loaded the bases for Coppolla-Miller, who smashed a grand slam to center field. A sac fly by Arista Fine plated the fifth running of the inning and gave the Redskins a 10-2 lead.
Neshaminy coach Sarah Martoccio: “Today was a really good day for our team. We had a strong pitching performance and good defense, but our bats were really what came alive today.”
Coppola-Miller steals spotlight: “She has been hitting all season but now she is really taking it to another level. What is even better is that she is just a wonderful kid who always strives to do her best. She is the type of player who will go 3-for-4 and then ask for extra reps because she wasn’t happy with one of her at-bats. You can’t teach that kind of heart and passion for the game, and we are so lucky to have her as part of our program.”
Next up: Neshaminy (6-8, 3-4) will face Pennsbury Tuesday at Middletown Community Park (7 pm), and Quakertown (5-11, 3-4) will be on the road at Upper Dublin on Tuesday.
