CENTRAL BUCKS SOUTH 1, HOLY GHOST 1
Holy Ghost visited Titan Stadium on Monday night where CB South celebrated their senior night, honoring eight seniors: Tyler Jaskelewicz, Tyler Lockett , Gavin Medwid, Leo Propato, Devyn Ramos Salazar, Jaxson Sauder, Logan Sullivan, and Jackson Tait.
An early goal by Jackson Tait was equalized by Holy Ghost in the second half and no other scoring resulted in a draw.
By the Numbers:
First Half

Second half

COACH ED BRNARDIC:
“In the first half, we scored a really nice goal that started with Jaxson Sauder playing a clever volley back over his head. Gavin Medwid brought it down and delivered a great ball into the box to Jackson Tait, who took a quick touch before finishing into the far corner.
“Unfortunately, we conceded the equalizer early in the second half when we allowed Holy Ghost a free header off a corner kick. Both teams had opportunities to find a winner. Holy Ghost created a few dangerous chances, but Maks came up with some brilliant saves to keep us level. We also had several excellent chances, including a scramble in front of goal where their goalkeeper was out of the play, but our shot toward the empty net was unfortunately blocked by one of our own players near the goal line.
In the end, a draw was probably a fair result.
PROPS:
“REFEREES: Giving some well-deserved recognition to a group that doesn’t get enough credit for doing a thankless job. The referee crew was excellent tonight. They kept up with the play, put themselves in good positions to make calls, and managed the game very well. We sincerely appreciated their effort.
“CB SOUTH FAMILIES: A huge thank you to our families for organizing a wonderful Senior Night for our guys and helping make the evening such a special one for our seniors and their families. And special thanks to CB South Alum Angie Colantonio who sang a beautiful rendition of our National Anthem tonight.
“MAN OF THE MATCH – TYLER LOCKETT: Tyler played just five seconds tonight, but there was no question who our Man of the Match was.
“Tyler took the opening kickoff, and after we played the ball out of bounds, he came off the field to an ovation
from everyone in the stadium. It was a brief moment on the field, but one that meant far more than any goal, save, or result.
“Tyler played for CB South as a freshman in 2023, but shortly after that season he was diagnosed with leukemia. A difficult battle followed, yet throughout his journey Tyler remained an important part of our team, volunteering as a manager and continuing to support his teammates and our program.
“Earlier this year, Tyler was working hard toward making a comeback to the field, but surgery late this summer officially ended that possibility. Still, over the past few years, Tyler has demonstrated a level of courage, effort, heart, and determination that goes far beyond anything we see on a soccer field.
“And his impact has extended well beyond our program. Together with Marisa Nero of CB East, Tyler was named a “Student Visionary of the Year” after they raised $72,000 for Blood Cancer United.
“Tonight, Tyler got the opportunity to step back onto the field as a CB South soccer player. Five seconds may not sound like much, but for Tyler, his family, his teammates, and everyone who has followed his journey, those five seconds meant everything.”
