PENNRIDGE 2, UPPER PERKIOMEN 0
Five Pennridge pitchers combined for a two-hit shutout in Monday’s non-league opener. Alex Podraza struck out three in three scoreless innings, and Bobby Croyle fanned a pair in one shutout inning of work. Jon Nase threw two scoreless frames, striking out two. Kaleb Rush struck out one in 1.1 innings while Nick Chris fanned one in two-thirds of an inning. All told, the Ram pitchers fanned nine.
The Rams scored the only run they would need in the second when Jack Goddess tripled and scored on a throwing error. They added an insurance run in the fourth.
Sean Clayton, Ray Knight and John Osborne each singled for the Rams, who had four hits.
Pennridge (1-0) will travel to William Tennent Thursday for a non-league game.

UPPER DUBLIN 8, UPPER MERION 5
The visiting Vikings plated a pair or runs in the top of the first, but the Flying Cardinals answered with eight runs in the bottom of the inning. Karan Acharya collected an RBI when he drew a bases-loaded walk, and Jarrod Matz’s groundout pushed another run across. Alex Goldenberg hit an RBI double, Nick Lombardo had a two-run single and Brian McPeak also had an RBI single.
The Vikings plated a pair of runs in the fourth and another run in the fifth to make it an 8-5 game, but that’s as close as they would get.
Both teams collected eight hits. UD’s Elijah Peck was 2-for-3 with two runs scored out of the leadoff spot. Goldenberg was 2-for-3 with a double and RBI.
Five pitchers saw action for the Flying Cardinals. Jared Lamberg earned the win, allowing three hits and two runs in three innings. Sean Curran and Acharya each threw a scoreless frame to close it out. Both pitchers struck out a pair.
Upper Dublin (1-0) will host Hatboro-Horsham in Thursday’s SOL opener.

SOUDERTON 10, LANSDALE CATHOLIC 0 (6 innings)
Jordan Morales, Andrew Curran and Jake Horton combined for a three-hit shutout, and the Indians scored runs in five of six innings in the abbreviated non-league contest.
The Indians managed just five hits but made the most of them. Luke Taylor’s RBI double plated a run in a two-run first inning. A three-run second all but put the game out of reach.
Twenty-one different players had plate appearances for the Indians. Taylor was 1-for-2 with a double, two RBIs and a run scored. Bill Norbeck and Hogan Despain both doubled and drove in a run.
Morales, who got the starting nod, earned the win, allowing one hit in two scoreless innings. He struck out four and did not walk a batter. Curran allowed one hit while walking one and fanning one in two scoreless frames. Horton, who also allowed one hit, struck out four and walked none in two innings.
Souderton (1-0) will travel to Abington for a non-league game on Tuesday.

CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 12, CONWELL-EGAN 2 (6 innings)
Conwell-Egan took an early 2-0 lead with single runs in the first and second innings. The Patriots put a run on the board in the bottom of the second and then erupted for four in the third to take a lead they would not lose. They added four more in the fourth and three more over the next two frames to bring an early end to the non-league game.
Nick Bitsko had a big day out of the leadoff spot. The Patriots’ leftfielder was 2-for-3 with a double, RBI and two runs scored. Tommy Webb was 2-for-2 with a triple, three RBIs and a run scored. Colin Weber doubled, drove in a pair and scored two runs. Tyler Young was 1-for-3 with two RBIs and two runs scored. Jack Nugent singled and drove in a run. Erik Hiller also had an RBI.
On the mound, Jack Hamilton threw three scoreless innings in relief. He did not allow a hit while striking out four and walking one. Aidan Weaver threw a scoreless inning to close out the game in the sixth. He did not allow hit, struck out three and walked one.
Central Bucks East (1-0) will travel to Central Bucks West for Thursday’s SOL opener.
