NESHAMINY 3, HATBORO-HORSHAM 2
Neshaminy’s Matt Gryn threw six strong innings to earn the win on the mound.
After the Hatters plated a run in the top of the third, Neshaminy took a lead it would not lose with three runs in the fourth. Dan Marable lined a one-out single to right, and the bases were loaded after Chase Bonner and Brandon Lall drew back-to-back walks.
Noah Wallace’s ground single to center plated a pair of runs, and Lall scored on a Dylan Cloud’s groundout for a 3-1 lead.
The Hatters made things interesting with a run in the top of the seventh when Ryan Remaily doubled to left field to drive in a run.
By the numbers: Neshaminy: Noah Wallace (1-for-3, 2RBIs)
Matt Gryn (W) (6.0 IP, 3H, 1R, 0ER, 2BB, 6K)
Hatboro-Horsham: Ryan Remaily (1-for-2, 2B, RBI)
Neshaminy coach Dan Toner:
“It was nice to get our first game of the season in today. We knew it was going to be a ‘grind- it-out’ type of game with the weather conditions and that’s exactly what it was. Both teams battled and showed a lot of resilience.
“We didn’t have many hits today, but we were able to capitalize on the ones we did get.
“It’s good for the team to get that type of win, early on in the season”
–Props: “Matt Gryn started on the mound today and picked up where he left off last season. Matt was able to get ahead of hitters and throw multiple pitches for strikes.”
Up next: Neshaminy will host Father Judge in a non-league game Thursday. Hatboro-Horsham will face Halifax County on April 4.

WISSAHICKON 10, NORRISTOWN 0 (5 innings)
Charlie Ajemian tossed five shutout innings to earn the win in Monday’s abbreviated non-league contest.
The Trojans put four runs on the board in the bottom of the first. The inning began with back-to-back Norristown miscues, the second on a ground ball by Nate Binkley that pushed the first run across. A second run scored on R Kim’s groundout. Thomas Puerzer roped a triple to center and scored on a single by Ajemian. An RBI single by Jack Weiss gave the Trojans a 4-0 lead.
By the numbers: Wissahickon: Jack Weiss (1-for-2, 2RBIs, 1R), Thomas Puerzer (1-for-2, 3B, 1R),
Charlie Ajemian (W) (5.0 IP, 2H, 0R, 0ER, 1BB, 8K)
Wissahickon coach Andy Ngo:
“Charlie Ajemian set the tone for us on the mound. His intensity helped the rest of our guys stay locked in on a tough weather day. We played in eerily similar conditions a year ago and did not play well, so I was proud of our guys for being a team that shows up and balls regardless of weather.
“Thomas Puerzer had a big extra-base hit early in the game that sparked our offense. We were able to put a lot of pressure on them on the base paths with hard 90s and taking bags as they were presented to us. As a team, it was good to see us get it back on track after a tough loss to a talented Cheltenham team last week. We hope to keep it rolling tomorrow.”
Up next: Wissahickon will host William Tennent in a non-league crossover game Tuesday.
