North Penn, CR North and Wissahickon were winners in SOL baseball action Monday.
NORTH PENN 7, WEST CHESTER COUNTRY DAY 1
The Knights opened their spring training trip to Myrtle Beach on a good note, exploding for six runs in the first two innings on their way to the convincing non-league win.
Zack Miles was a perfect 4-for-4 at the plate with a double, triple and three runs scored. Corey Stouffer was 3-for-3 with a double and triple. Only a home run separated Miles and Stouffer from the cycle. Trace Coulter also was 3-for-3 with a double, RBI and run scored. Tyler Siddal was 1-for-3 with a home run, two RBIs and a run scored out of the leadoff spot. Matt Marino was 1-for-3 with a double in a contest that saw the Knights collect 12 hits with seven of those for extra bases.
Matt Stevenson earned the win, allowing two hits and one run while fanning eight and walking just one in four strong innings. Colin McTaggart closed it out with three scoreless innings in relief, allowing three hits while walking two and striking out one.

COUNCIL ROCK NORTH 3, NORTH HUNTERDON 2
The visiting Indians scored a run in the first inning, and the two teams exchanged single runs in the fourth. Zach Deegan and Eric Hoefer each contributed an RBI single for the Indians. Caven Tully had a triple for the Indians only extra base hit.
Rock North had only five hits, but North Hunterdon managed just two.
Gavin Ferrandino threw three scoreless innings to open the game.

WISSAHICKON 4, ABINGTON 0
Freshman Quinn Rovner was impressive in his varsity debut, allowing just two hits in six shutout innings. The rookie hurler did not walk a batter and struck out six.
At the plate, senior Matt Shilling was a perfect 4-for-4 with a pair of triples. Trey France was 3-for-3 with a pair of RBIS, and Alex Tappen was 1-for-2 with a triple and two RBIs.
