After opening their season on Monday with a 6-2 win over Wissahickon, the Knights were right back at it the next afternoon, and they picked up their second win in as many days, this time defeating the Titans in their SOL opener.
“Don’t look now but it could be back-to back-to back,” said Knights head coach Kevin Manero as the team will also play on Wednesday against Strath Haven. “No one is 100 percent crisp.”
The Knights got a solid outing from James Witner as he went four strong innings, allowing one earned run while striking out four.
“In our first two games, we got good pitching, we put together good at bats and we made the routine plays defensively,” said Manero. “If we do all that we will be in good position to win a lot of games.”

The Knights got off to a quick start, scoring four runs in the first thanks to a three run homer off the bat of Zeigler.

“We came out swinging well and aggressively. I was real happy with our approach.”
