Patriot Division
Council Rock North 2, Neshaminy 0
Jasper Ring and Landon Lentz each scored to stake out Council Rock North to an early lead over a much-improved Neshaminy squad, and the Indians made it stand for a 2-0 victory in Tuesday’s Patriot Division game to remain undefeated on the season, notching their sixth win in as many games.
Scoring Summary
First Half
Jasper Ring (CRN) 8th minute (1-0)
Landon Lentz (CRN) 22nd minute (2-0)
Second Half
No score
CR North coach Joe Stackhouse: “Neshaminy is young. We’re blessed that we have the number of returnees that we have and the amount of senior leadership that we have.”
—The scoring: “Jasper Ring scored our first goal, and it was off a scramble. It started with a corner kick, and the ball scrambled, and he finally put it away. Landon Lentz scored the second one around the 22-minute mark of the first half. It was a similar situation – a ball was played up field, one of their guys muffed it. It bounced around and came to Landon, who’s been dead-on most of the year.”
—Props: “Isaac Morais played very well for us today. He plays a central defensive midfield role, and he controlled the middle of the field. That was our game plan. We knew that if we could keep them off the ball in the midfield and we set the pace and not let them set the pace – we would have no problems, and that’s exactly what we were able to do. On defense, Darek Miller played well again. Calvin Hopkins played well in goal. He wasn’t tested too often, but he did what he had to do to keep the shutout. Will Kamp and Logan Adams up top – they’ve been a threat all year, and with them being so dangerous, it opens up the whole field for us.”
Neshaminy coach Tom Foley: “Today was a disappointing effort. It was not a reflection of how we started the year. Council Rock North applies a tremendous amount of pressure, and we did not handle it well. Credit to them, they executed their game plan perfectly, and couple that with their desire and effort, they’re a difficult team to play against. We have to learn a lesson from this game and be ready to play our game against Pennsbury on Thursday.”
Next up: Council Rock North (6-0, 3-0 SOL) is right back in action today, visiting neighborhood rival Council Rock South at 5 pm. Neshaminy (3-2-1, 2-1) will visit its neighboring rival Pennsbury at 7 pm Thursday.
Council Rock North 2-0 2
Neshaminy 0-0 0
Council Rock South 4, Harry S Truman 2
The Tigers netted the first goal of the game and held a 2-1 edge at halftime, but the Golden Hawks responded with three unanswered goals in the second half to pull out a gutsy 4-2 victory in Tuesday’s Patriot Division game.
George Simon led the Golden Hawks with two goals and one assist. Sean Davis also scored two goals, while Anthony Abreu and Josh Cook each tallied an assist.
Scoring Summary
George Simon (CRS) 2 goals
Sean Davis (CRS) 2 goals
Anthony Abreu) (CRS) 1 assist
George Simon (CRS) 1 assist
Josh Cook (CRS) 1 assist
Council Rock South coach Alan Nicholl: “We were down 1-0 and 2-1 (at half) to a much-improved Truman side. But we kept good team belief. and our energy never waned. We finally pulled away with 18 minutes left (George Simon’s second goal) and five minutes later put the game out of reach with Sean Davis’ second. I thought we looked composed throughout, especially after going down twice.”
—Props: “Credit to George Simon – he was tireless – and Nodari Shinjiashvilli and Anthony Abreu’s energy carried us.”
—On Truman’s efforts: “I’m amazed at the job Mike (McCool) has done with his program. Full credit to how they battled and made us very uncomfortable today.”
Next up: Council Rock South (2-3-1, 1-2 SOL) will host neighborhood rival Council Rock North at 5 pm Wednesday. Truman (0-6, 0-3) will visit Bensalem at 3:30 pm Thursday.
Harry S Truman 2-0 2
Council Rock South 1-3 4
Bensalem 2, Pennsbury 1
Bensalem responded quickly after falling behind early and rallied for a 2-1 victory over Pennsbury in Tuesday’s Patriot Division matchup, earning the Owls their first league win of the season.
Pennsbury took the early lead on a corner kick, but Bensalem knotted the score in the 18th minute on a goal from Tejas Sassan (Abdoul Diallo assist). Jacob Oniate (Brian Bock assist) provided the game-winning goal 11 minutes into the second half.
Scoring Summary
First Half
Pennsbury scores (0-1)
Tejas Sassan (B), Abdoul Diallo assist (1-1)
Second Half
Jacob Oniate (B), Brian Bock assist (2-1)
Bensalem coach Kevin Bock: “We talked about putting together a full 80-minute game today. Keeping the intensity level high throughout but more importantly, maintaining our composure while going out and having some fun. It was a good win for the boys as we finally put together a full game effort.”
—Responding to the early deficit: “We started off well but gave up a goal on a corner kick where our effort was lackluster, and Pennsbury did a good job jumping on the ball and scoring. Instead of letting down, we continued to work. Abdoul was eventually able to find Tejas on the edge of the box, and he was able to beat a couple defenders and slot the ball past the keeper.”
—On the game-winning goal: “We started off strong in the second half. Brian got a ball out wide from a give-and-go and was able to drive down the sideline and send the ball across the box to Jacob, who headed the ball in.”
—Props: “Tommy Hurst had a great game in the back. He was able to sweep in and make plays on a number of their through balls and distributed well out of the back. Abou and Tejas were creating opportunities throughout the game.”
Next up: The Owls (2-3, 1-2 SOL) will host Harry S Truman at 3:30 pm Thursday, while Pennsbury (3-3, 2-1) will host neighborhood rival Neshaminy at 7 pm Thursday.

Colonial Division
Pennridge 1, North Penn 0
Just when it looked like Pennridge was headed toward a scoreless tie with Colonial Division opponent North Penn on Tuesday, Bryan Lopez stepped up.
Lopez scored off a Sal D’Aquino assist with two minutes left in the game and Gavin Dimmick posted the shutout as the Rams picked up their first win of the season in thrilling fashion.
Scoring Summary
First Half
No scoring
Second Half
Bryan Lopez (P) from Sal D’Aquino, 78th minute (1-0)
Pennridge coach Aaron Rapsinski: “Coming off of giving up 5 to East (a 5-0 loss), we obviously knew we had to make some changes in our defensive system and with our overall play. The guys really bought in yesterday to implement this, and it paid off today. I can’t say enough about our effort today. We finally put together a full 80 minutes. We knew that North Penn has quality all over the field, and that they would have their chances. We just did what we could to lock down their offensive threats (#27, 17, 9, 7 – all were dangerous going forward for them). We knew if we could hold them defensively, we could capitalize on one of our chances.”
—On the late game-winning goal: “With 2 minutes left in the game, Bryan Lopez was able to tuck the ball into the far corner off a Sal D’Aquino assist. It was a bang-bang play off a free kick. It was kind of right-place-right-time, but he took his opportunity.”
—Props: “Top to bottom our best performance. I can’t name enough guys who stepped up and laid it out to get our first W. Gavin Dimmick made saves when we need him and got his first shutout of the season. Roman Arcade, Jackson DeMeester, Austin Keller, and Lucas Glibowski did a great job shutting down their offensive threats, and we worked all day through the middle of the field with Andrew Levush, Sal D’Aquino, Logan Lamaina, and Parker Annan. We had waves of guys working the outside of the field for us. I wish I could copy and paste our roster into this wrap.”
Next up: Pennridge (1-4, 1-2 SOL) will look to build upon its first win when the Rams host Central Bucks South at 5:15 pm Thursday. North Penn (4-3, 1-2) will host Souderton at 3:30 pm Thursday.

Souderton 3, Central Bucks East 2
Tannor Wiszneski scored his eighth goal of the season early in the second half to give undefeated Souderton a 3-0 lead, and that goal would hold up as the game-winner as the Indians held off a valiant Central Bucks East rally attempt to pull out a 3-2 win in Tuesday’s Colonial Division game. Brayden Russel provided the assist on Wiszneski’s game-winner.
The Indians received goals late in the first half from Danny Brun (Cam Taylor assist) and Zach Vaszily (Nolan Watkins assist).

CBE scores (3-2)
Souderton coach Frank Demas: “Souderton scored two goals in the last few minutes of the first half to go into halftime 2-0. We started the second half quickly when Brayden Russel passed a ball to Tannor Wiszneski who scored a great goal to ultimately win the game. East put a lot of pressure on at the end of the game and took two goals back. They are an awesome team. CB East’s Daniel Frye played a great game, but our defense and goalie stood tall and saw the game out.”
Next up: Souderton (5-0, 3-0 SOL) looks to keep its undefeated start going when the Indians host North Penn at 3:30 pm Thursday. East (3-3, 1-2) will host neighborhood rival Central Bucks West at 6 pm Friday.

CENTRAL BUCKS SOUTH 3, CENTRAL BUCKS WEST 1
Nighttime. Rivalry game.
It was a tough road test for the Titans, who traveled west to War Memorial Stadium for their Tuesday night matchup with CB West. South was able to get on the scoreboard first when Evan Jaskelewicz intercepted the ball and connected right away with Anthony Bice who finished far post. Later in the half, Josh Dozier found Tyler Jaskelewicz who then slipped the ball to Evan Jaskelewicz at the top corner of the box. Evan went with the power shot, trying to rip the seams off the ball to put the Titans up by 2 goals.
Before the half was over, CB West scored a rocket from outside of the box to make it a 2-1 game.
In the second half, it was CB South that extended their lead when Dylan Lynch put a diagonal ball into the box and Anthony Bice was first to react to a bouncing ball to put it into the back of the net.

Second Half

COACH ED BRNARDIC:
“We had a good technical practice last night and the guys came ready to play a complete game today. We looked forward to playing at War Memorial Stadium – The stadium is great, and having one of their students sing the National Anthem adds to an
already incredible atmosphere. We also had great support from many of our CB South students who came out to watch the game and they gave us energy.
“On the field, it was a complete team performance from back to front. I felt that we created many chances, and props on the day go to CB West goalkeeper Jarret Wodotinsky who had a fantastic game. We did well to go up 2-0, but CB West cut our lead in half with what was one of the best goals I’ve seen this year. Our guys kept their composure, and we were able to come out in the second half and extend our lead and close out the game. We will enjoy the win tonight and have to go back to work tomorrow to prepare for Pennridge who had a big win vs. North Penn today. It’s a competitive league and we are being pushed every night.”
NEXT UP: CB South (6-0, 3-0 SOL) hosts Pennridge on Thursday., and CB West (1-4-1, 0-3) will host Central Bucks East on Friday at 6 pm

Liberty Division
Abington 2, Wissahickon 0
Following up a tough tie with fellow Liberty Division frontrunner Upper Dublin on Friday, Abington kept pace with the Cards on Tuesday, rolling to a 2-0 league victory over the Trojans.
Nicky Gray (Brady Hartman assist) put the Ghosts on the board in the first half, and Jazafith Vasquez (Brian O’Neill assist) added an insurance goal in the second half.
Scoring Summary
First Half
Nicky Gray (A) from Brady Hartman (1-0)
Second Half
Jazafith Vasquez (A) from Brian O’Neill (2-0)
Abington coach Randy Garber: “It was a very sloppy first half. Not much soccer being played – it was kick and run. A lot of just kicking the ball with no purpose. Not something that we wanted to do, but it had to be done. We finally scored with about 10 minutes left in the half, and once we scored, things settled down a little bit. We went into halftime 1-0. It was a physical second half. We had a lot of chances. Our defense played extremely well, and we scored the second goal with probably 15 minutes to go in the game, and then we got a lot of players in the game. We made it a lot more difficult than it was. It wasn’t pretty, but we’ll take it.”
—Props: “Justin Waterfall, our goalkeeper, did a nice job. Daniel Oliveira plays in the back, Nicky Gray, who scored our goal and plays in the back, Brandon Escobar did a heck of a job in the back. Brandon Murataj played defensively and did a nice job, and Sean Westmoreland in the midfield. He wins a lot of balls in the midfield for us. Kyle Kretschman did a nice job, and he’s also a defender that’s a sophomore. He starts and plays on the defense, and he had a heck of a game. It was very physical.”
Next up: The Ghosts (4-1-1, 2-0-1 SOL) will host Plymouth Whitemarsh at 3:30 pm Thursday. Wissahickon (3-3, 1-2 will visit Quakertown at 7 pm Thursday.
Abington 1-1 2
Wissahickon 0-0 0
Upper Dublin 3, Quakertown 0
Upper Dublin remained undefeated in league play with a 3-0 win over Quakertown in Tuesday’s league matchup.
Adriano Roman (Leo Kuznits assist) got the Cardinals on the board in the first half, and Jake Picker (Jimmy Smith assist) made it 2-0 Cards at halftime. Aaron Zipfel scored the third goal in the second half in his varsity debut as the Cards notched a win to remain tied atop the division standings with Abington.
Scoring Summary
First Half
Adriano Roman (UD) from Leo Kuznits (1-0)
Jake Picker (UD) from Jimmy Smith (2-0)
Second Half
Aaron Zipfel (UD) (3-0)
Upper Dublin coach Noah Johnson: “It was kind of sloppy from us. There’s things we’re focusing on, trying to improve on certain aspects that we worked on in the training ground, so it was nice to see some of those moments actually transition from the training ground onto the field. But there’s still a lot of work to do, so that we can have more of those moments.”
—The scoring: “Corey Abramson played in a ball at the top from Leo Kuznits, and he passed the ball to Adriano Roman inside the box, and Adriano tapped it in for the first goal midway through the first half. The second one was probably the last 10 minutes of the first half. The ball was played to Chase Rappaport in the middle of the field, and he sent the ball in for Jimmy Smith. Jimmy dribbled into the box and passed the ball to Jake Picker for a tap-in. The third goal was late in the second half by sophomore Aaron Zipfel in his first time on varsity.”
—Props: “(Roman) Adriano, (Kaleb) Abebe and Anthony Ginaldi played very well. All of our guys who don’t normally get a ton of minutes played really well coming in today to kind of shoulder the load today, especially after a really, really rough game against Abington last week.”
Next up: The Cardinals (4-1-1, 2-0-1 SOL) will visit Hatboro-Horsham at 3:45 pm Thursday. Quakertown (2-3-1, 1-2-0) will host Wissahickon at 7 pm Thursday.

Hatboro-Horsham picked up its third straight win, rebounding from an early deficit to score four unanswered goals and rally past Plymouth Whitemarsh 4-1 in Tuesday’s Liberty Division matchup.
PW went up 1-0 in the 10th minute, but the Hatters responded a minute later when Evan Paone (Louis Matullo assist) to even the score at 1-1. Goals from Miller Kahmar (Finn Marsden assist) and Aaron Cicarelli boosted the Hatters to a 3-1 lead at halftime.
Kahmar netted his second of the game (Christian Patelmo) in the second half to give the Hatters the 4-1 lead.
Scoring Summary
First Half
PW goal 10th minute (0-1)
Evan Paone (HH) from Louis Matullo, 11th minute (1-1)

Aaron Cicarelli (HH,) 30th minute (3-1)
Second Half
Miller Kahmar (HH) from Christian Patelmo, 56th minute (4-1)
Hatboro-Horsham coach Kyle McGrath: “Obviously, we weren’t very happy with giving up the early goal. We talked about getting off to a good start, but it was good to see the quick response after we did concede a goal. We played a dangerous ball in on the set piece and Evan did a good job finishing it to get the score level right away.”
—How they scored: “PW scored in the 10th minute – had a really nice goal in the upper 90 after we didn’t take care of a clearance. We scored a minute later off a restart corner kick. Louis Matullo played a ball into the box, and Evan Paone headed it in off the free kick in the 11th minute. In the 27th minute, Miller Kahmar scored from a Finn Marsden assist off a corner kick. Miller played a great ball into the back post, and it just went into the goal untouched. In the 30th minute, Aaron Ciciarelli scored to make it 3-1. They had a missed clearance, the ball kind of dropped to him at the top of the box, and he hit a beautiful shot into the goal. Miller Kahmer scored the fourth from Christian Patelmo in the 56th minute. Christian did a great job getting down the sideline to the end line and played a ball across, and Miller made a great run into the box, and it was a tap-in for him.”
—Props: “After they scored, the back four was more organized, more focused, and that is Luke Weiss, Will Fisher, Louis Matullo, and Christian Patelmo. They kind of locked in a little bit and really limited PW’s chances offensively.
“Miller Kahmar is on the scoresheet with two goals. He’s somebody that we’ve been looking to going, and he made some good runs into the box today and was rewarded with two goals.”
Next up: The Hatters (3-2, 2-1 SOL) will host Upper Dublin at 3:45 pm Thursday. The Colonials (0-6, 0-3) will host Abington at 3:45 pm Thursday.
