Souderton coach Frank Demas: “Good win today. Coming off back-to-back games. We definitely looked a little slow at times, but overall, we did what we had to do to get the win. We did some really nice things at times on tired legs. Some great combos and team goals.”
—Props: “The back line and Trevor (Alderfer) were fantastic, getting another clean sheet. Scotti, (Reese) Hoover, (Brayden) Russell, (William) Cusano have been so solid on defense. Shout out to the guys who came in off the bench today as well. Everyone who got in played well, the level didn’t drop.”
—Outstanding offense: “Big shout out to Fernando Diaz on the hat trick today. He played his best game of the year, not only finishing his chances, but working hard to create for others as well. Assists from Manners, Scotti, and Galvan were outstanding.”

COUNCIL ROCK SOUTH 3, LOWER MORELAND 2 (OT)
Council Rock South overcame a two-goal second-half deficit and battled back to force overtime. About 90 seconds into the extra frame, Madden Burns scored off an assist from Adrian Cardone to cap off the comeback as the Golden Hawks soared to a 3-2 win in Friday’s crossover game.
“Adrian won a tackle in Lower Moreland’s end,” said Council Rock South assistant coach Seth Orenstein. “He got the ball to Madden Burns, who took a touch and curled in a left-footed ball to the top corner. It was an awesome goal and an awesome moment. It was a really good game by both teams.”

Council Rock South assistant coach Seth Orenstein: “It was a great win for our team today. Lower Moreland is a very good side and does a really good job keeping the ball. We had to work hard to climb back into this one, but the belief was there throughout. We were down 2-0 with about 10 minutes left, but we never gave up.
“We were down 1-0 at halftime. Our energy was good, and we had a ton of chances to score throughout the first half. Lower Moreland took care of their chance where we were just a touch away. We were unfortunate to go down 2-0 early in the second half – they scored on a beautiful direct kick.
“Our guys showed a lot of maturity to stay with it. I think some teams would have packed it in, down 2-0 with 10 to go. It asks a lot of your team to keep plugging away. Around the 10-minute mark, Madden Burns got around the corner and put a ball across the 6 for Sean Davis to score. A few minutes later, Sean scored from about 20 yards out on a ball from Josh Coehlo. I can’t do anything but give them credit. Their belief never wavered.”
—Props: “Sean Davis with a brace today and came up big right when we needed it most. Two timely goals in under 10 minutes. Congrats to Sean – he was dangerous today.
“Reid Van Demark and Diego Soto-Pinzon showed great leadership today. It doesn’t show up on the scoresheet, but these guys kept everyone positive through the spells of the game where we needed it most. It was their positivity that fueled our team belief. They put on a powerful display of positive leadership today and I am very proud of them for that.”
Up next: South will visit Neshaminy at 4 pm Tuesday. Lower Moreland will host Cheltenham at 3:30 pm Tuesday.

CHELTENHAM 3, PENNSBURY 2
Cheltenham secured a character-building victory over Pennsbury on Friday in a match that, according to coach Danny Shields, highlighted the Panthers’ “resilience and defensive organization.”
“The win marked a significant, character-defining result for Cheltenham as (we) look to carry momentum into the next stretch of (our) season,” the Panthers’ coach said.
Ahmed Toure, Emile Chanoine and Ruben Villatoro each scored one goal. Billy Fishman had a pair of assists.

Cheltenham coach Danny Shields:
–On the game: “The game opened evenly, with both sides probing for chances. Cheltenham struck first in the 20th minute when Billy Fishman linked up with Ahmed Toure, who calmly slotted home to put the Panthers ahead 1-0.
“Pennsbury responded just five minutes later, breaking through midfield and firing a shot past keeper Wolf Brown into the bottom corner to level the match at 1-1 going into halftime.
“The Falcons came out pressing after the break, but Cheltenham’s back line—anchored by central defenders Ean Justice and Emile Chanoine—held firm. Fullbacks Nate Leary and Alan Fazio shut down the flanks, while midfielders Aldin Sabljic and Jayden Sumitra fought hard to win key possessions and transition into attack. Wolf Brown also delivered several crucial saves in one-on-one situations to keep the Panthers in the game.
“Cheltenham regained the lead midway through the half from a set piece. Ean Justice delivered a pinpoint ball from 40 yards out toward the back post, where Jackson Scott nodded it into Emile Chanoine’s path. Emile Chanoine finished calmly into the bottom corner, giving Cheltenham a 2-1 advantage.
With 20 minutes to play, the Panthers absorbed heavy pressure before striking again on the counter. Wolf Brown’s long distribution found Jackson Scott down the left wing, and his cross was met by Billy Fishman, who set up Ruben Villatoro to slot home the decisive third goal.
Pennsbury trimmed the Panthers’ lead to one with a goal with nine minutes remaining. Cheltenham shifted into a more defensive shape, weathering several late Pennsbury chances before sealing a hard-earned 3-2 victory.
–Props: “Ean Justice, Emile Chanoine, and Jackson Scott were standouts on the day, while substitutes Alexander Forbes, Dylan Miller, and Harry Rubin-Reynolds provided valuable minutes off the bench to give teammates needed rest.
Up next: Cheltenham will travel to Lower Moreland on Tuesday, and Pennsbury will be on the road at Harry S Truman Tuesday.
