Non-league
CENTRAL BUCKS WEST 2, WISSAHICKON 1
Cole Barrett scored a pair of goals to lead the Bucks to the hard-fought win over the visiting Trojans.
The Trojans got on the scoreboard first, but Barrett scored the equalizer and then, in the second half, the game-winner.
CB West Scoring Summary
First half
Wissahickon Goal
Cole Barrett (CBW) PK
Second half
Cole Barrett (CBW)
Central Bucks West coach John Adair on the game: “Really thrilled for our guys to get a really positive result over a tough Wissahickon team before heading into our break, especially after a weird game on Friday that we played without four guys that had become starters. And in this game to be missing one of our captains in the middle of the park and get a result is a huge testament to the effort and intent our boys played with tonight.”
–Props: “I have to give our back four tonight a ton of credit. Michael Panno, Brayden Grau, Kieran Thompson, and Francis Grasso were terrific defensively and in their duels tonight and have been for this past stretch of games. I have to give Brayden in particular a ton of credit as he wasn’t getting the minutes he would’ve wanted early in the season but has come into the team and took his opportunity with both hands and has really added a dimension that we were lacking back there.
“Michael Rafalowski and Luca Testani were terrific in midfield, as was Paolo Leiva who started in a really difficult game and situation for a freshman, but I’m really proud of how he acquitted himself and he’s going to be a huge player for West for years to come.
“While his goals were the difference in the score line, Cole Barrett was much more than that for us tonight. He had so many moments throughout the game where he was close to scoring himself or creating a goal for his teammates and it would’ve been easy for him to hang his head, and in the past, he might have, but I’m most proud of his performance tonight because he was such a leader for our group. Everyone knows he’s one of the best players in our division, but his maturity and leadership tonight were on display, and I couldn’t be prouder or happier for him.”
Up next: Central Bucks West (4-6-3, 0-5-1 SOL) is off until next Tuesday when the Bucks will hold Senior Recognition Night when they host Souderton (7 pm). Wissahickon (6-6, 2-3) will host Quakertown in a non-league game on Saturday (11:30 am).
CHELTENHAM 2, PENNSBURY 1 (2 OT)
Zach Rosser scored the game-winner three minutes into the second overtime, giving the visiting Panthers the dramatic win.
Earlier, it looked as though the Panthers had it won in regulation. They took a 1-0 lead in the first half on a goal by Chamar Blanchard, and that lead stood until 59 seconds remained in regulation when the Falcons evened the score on a penalty kick.

Second half

1st Overtime – No score
2nd Overtime

Cheltenham coach Bill Tonkin on the game: “The boys played really well again tonight. Back-to-back great performances. Pennsbury is a good team. They moved the ball well and gave us all we could handle.
“Got another tough one tomorrow night against CB East. Hopefully, the momentum from this game can push us through tomorrow night to get another good performance out of the boys.”
The game-winner: “Zack Rosser scored on a rebound off of a head ball by Aldin Sabljic off of a cross by Noah Jutzi about three minutes into the second overtime.”
–The props: “Our goalkeeper Wolf Brown came up with some good saves to keep us in the lead in the second half and overtime. Our back line was really good again tonight. Emile Chanoine and Ean Justice in the middle and Joel Martin and Alban Perry on the outsides. Chamar was more than a handful for their defense. Their goalkeeper made some great saves as well to keep them in the game. “
Up next: Cheltenham (7-4-1, 3-2-1 SOL) will travel to Central Bucks East for a non-league game Tuesday (7 pm), and Pennsbury (4-8-1, 2-4) will host Holy Ghost in a non-league game Wednesday (7 pm).

PLYMOUTH WHITEMARSH 4, NORRISTOWN 3 (2 OT)
The Colonials picked up their second win in as many games, and this was a big one over the visiting Eagles, who were ranked 19th in the District 1 4A power rankings prior to the game.
Bashiru Adams picked an opportune time to score his first goal of the season, turning a through ball by senior Dan Hurst into the equalizer with only 1:32 remaining in regulation.
One overtime could not determine a winner, but with 9:02 remaining in the second, Adams connected for his second goal, capitalizing on a long throw-in by Andrew Daoud to score the game-winner.
Hurst and freshman Kevin DiMarco each added a goal. Jackson Budin and Daoud assisted.
Senior goalkeeper Logan Brock recorded five saves in the win.
Scoring Summary

Norristown goal
Bashiru Adams (PW) from Dan Hurst
1st Overtime – No score
2nd Overtime
Bashiru Adams (PW) from Andrew Daoud
PW coach Cory Lush on the win: “This was the signature win that we’ve been looking for all season. Credit to Norristown and their forward players, #11 and #7 were dangerous the entire game -we had to account for them constantly. One of our biggest areas of concern this season had been our ability to create and finish chances. The boys were up to the task today.”
–The scoring: “Plymouth Whitemarsh opened the scoring early with a header from senior Dan Hurst at 31:26 in the first half, assist to senior Jackson Budin. Norristown would equalize before the end of the half, leaving the teams tied 1-1 at the break.
“PW would strike first in the second half with a finish from freshman Kevin Di Marco with the assist to senior Andrew Daoud from a long throw-in. Norristown would again equalize and a few minutes later take a 3-2 lead. Norristown would hold the lead until 1:32 remaining in the second half when senior Bashiru Adams made a run behind the defense and was able to finish the 1 v 1 with the sssist to senior Dan Hurst on the through ball.
“The first overtime period saw the score still 3-3. It remained tied until 9:02 remaining in the second overtime period when Bashiru Adams was able to score his second goal of the game with the assist to Andrew Daoud from the long throw-in.”
–Props: “Senior Dan Hurst notched a goal and an assist and has been a huge asset for us at the center forward role. I’ve been consistently impressed with our underclassmen. Freshmen Kevin Di Marco, who scored his second of the season, Finn Lafferty, Matt Guie and sophomore Nolan Schneider were all influential in the win. Bashiru Adams has been looking for a goal all season, it was only fitting that he scored the goal to tie the game and the OT game-winner. Huge credit to senior right back Andrew Daoud. His two assists off big throw-ins were a huge asset. At the back, seniors Jackson Budin, Jake Steinberg, and Ethan O’Connell were a big part of our win today. Senior goalkeeper Logan Brock was also influential, recording 5 saves off Norristown’s 10 shots.”
Up next: Plymouth Whitemarsh (2-11, 1-5 SOL) is off until next Tuesday when the Colonials will host Wissahickon.

Reid Vandemark (CRS) from George Simon
Reid Vandemark (CRS) from Diego Soto-Pinzon
Council Rock South Alan Nicholl on the game: “Three second-half goals separated the two teams. I thought it was a competitive first half, but we started the second half strong and never relinquished.”
–The scoring: “It was a deserved lead after 55 minutes with George Simon winning the end line and Josh Cook with a nifty one-touch finish off George’s cross. The second goal again was well worked from George who found Reid in the six for our second about 10 minutes later. The third was Diego Soto with an inviting ball over the defense, and Reid got under it and headed it in for his second brace in as many games.
–Props: “I thought George was terrific today, as Hatboro-Horsham had no answer for him. His work rate and desire carried us to the win…a true captain’s display.”
Up next: Council Rock South (7-4-2, 3-2-1 SOL) will host Pennridge on Tuesday, and Hatboro-Horsham (5-7, 2-4) will host Archbishop Wood in a non-league game on Saturday (7 pm).

NESHAMINY 1, ARCHBISHOP WOOD 0
Rezi Tebidze scored on a free kick in the 60th minute, breaking a scoreless tie and propelling the Redskins to the non-league road win.
The shutout was the fourth in a row for the Redskins, who are 13th in the latest District 1 4A power rankings.
“We’re slowly but surely creeping up the power rankings, so we’re getting there,” Neshaminy coach Tom Foley said.
Scoring Summary
First half – No score
Second half
Rezi Tebidze (N) 60th minute
Neshamiiny coach Tom Foley on the game: “We played a real lethargic first half. We were kind of fortunate to not give up a goal in the first half. We were getting beat to every ball, our passes were misfiring. We started taking it to them a little bit in the second half and created a lot more opportunities, knocking the ball around. It was a bit of a bumpy surface, but we managed to overcome that, and we did a nice job.
“We always dread Monday games because they’re off for a day, and it takes them a while to get their legs back, and it definitely showed today. We were able to overcome it and get that free kick goal and see it out, which is really good for us.”
–The goal: “Somebody got taken down maybe 22 yards out right in the middle of the goal, and Rezi Tebidze – on a free kick – bent it up and over the wall and into the net for the goal. It was a really nice strike.”
–Props: “We didn’t get a lot of great looks. Stephen Buczek hit the crossbar before we got our goal. Stephen was our man of the match today. He came off the bench when one our guys got dinged in the head, and the trainer recommended he stay off, so he stepped up and played a really strong second half for us.
“Overall, our defense – this was our fourth straight shutout, which is a great and a real credit to them. Dan (Raivitch) really didn’t have too much to do in goal, just cleaned up some balls that got through. The defense was pretty solid.”
Up next: Neshaminy (9-2-2, 5-0-1 SOL) will host Holy Ghost next Monday (7 pm).
Neshaminy 0-1 1
Archbishop Wood 0-0 0
ST. JOE’S PREP 1, ABINGTON 0
The Ghosts had plenty of scoring opportunities, generating 12 corners and 12 shots, but they could not capitalize, and with the Ghosts down a man, the Hawks capitalized, scoring the game-winner.
Up next: Abington (8-3-2, 5-0-1 SOL) will host Bensalem in a non-league game on Tuesday (7 pm).
