COUNCIL ROCK NORTH 3, COUNCIL ROCK SOUTH 0
Some wins are sweeter than the rest.
And this one was definitely a sweet win for the visiting Indians in Friday’s rivalry gam at Rock South.
For one half, it was your typical North-South battle with neither team giving an inch, and the two teams went into halftime locked in a scoreless tie.
That changed in a hurry in the third quarter when Brynn Bogle scored back-to-back goals. For good measure, Izzy Teitelman added a goal in the fourth quarter.
Scoring Summary
1st quarter – No score
2nd quarter – No score
3rd quarter
CRN – Brynn Bogle unassisted (1-0)

Coach Jules Singer on the win: “Huge team win! Whenever we play South, it is always a battle. I am so proud of the girls for the win.”
–Props: “Special shoutout to Brynn and Izzy for their goals. Going into the game our focus was to get gritty and finish in the circle.
“Our defense made up of Julia Lyons, Addie Kohler, Keiley Lyons, and Sierra Kim really held it down and helped the team to a shutout. Cara Moriarty played a great game in cage.”

SOUDERTON 4, ARCHBISHOP CARROLL 0
The Indians dominated play in Friday’s non-league contest but found themselves without anything to show for it until just 2:13 remained in the third period when Ava Jones buried a penalty stroke.
That opened the floodgates, and the Indians – who held a 30-0 advantage in shots – received three unanswered goals in a nine-minute span.
Jones had a hand in three goals to lead the Indians, scoring once and assisting on two others. Gianna Radcliffe and Charlotte McNeill each added a goal.
Souderton also held a 15-1 advantage in penalty corners, but Carroll’s goalie – junior Fiona Conboy – had a lot to do with the Indians’ inability to cash in on their opportunities.
Scoring Summary
1st quarter – No Score
2nd quarter – No Score
3rd quarter
S – Ava Jones 2:13 (1-0)
4th quarter
S- Gianna Radcliffe from Ava Jones 10:50 (2-0)
S – Charlotte McNeill (from Julia Blair (3-0)
S – Ava Jones 2:18 (4-0)
Coach Sue Casiato: “In each of our games thus far, the girls have done a good job creating scoring opportunities. We’re still working on converting on more of those opportunities. But I do feel that things are starting to come together offensively, and we’re gelling as a unit. We have two tough games next week against CB East and North Penn, so hopefully we’ll continue to play with a lot of energy.”
–Carroll’s defense: “The Archbishop Carroll goalie was fantastic (Fiona Conboy). We pressured her throughout the game, but we couldn’t punch in a goal until Ava Jones converted on a stroke late in the third period. Several Archbishop defenders also made saves on the goal line.”
Up next: Souderton (4-2, 2-1 SOL) will be on the road at Central Bucks East Monday.
