NESHAMINY 47, COUNCIL ROCK SOUTH 42
The Redskins led 11-2 after one quarter and took a 19-15 lead into halftime. The second half was tightly contested, but the Redskins held on for the important win.
By the numbers: For the Redskins, Mia Raivitch finished with a double-double that included 10 points and 11 rebounds. Hayley Kolk contributed 12 points and six rebounds. Nicole Trespalacios led the attack with 13 points.
For the Golden Hawks, Gilian Martin’s 13 points led the way and included three 3-pointers. Emerson Gunther added 12 points, which included a perfect 5-for-5 at the foul line.
Neshaminy coach John Gallagher:
— Key players: “Mia Raivitch finished with her first career double/double in points and rebounds. Freshman Nicole Trespalacios played excellent defense, hit big free throws and had no turnovers in this fast-paced game.”
–The game: “We jumped out pretty quick, going up 11-2 to start the game. However, I was concerned in that we were not getting stops but rather South was just missing makeable shots in the first quarter. These concerns came back to bite us as South began hitting the same type of open shots they were missing earlier.
“Offensively, we left some points on the floor, but when it came time to finish out the game, we did some good things to seal the win. In the fourth quarter, we were able to take care of their switching defense to get some favorable matchups in the post. Mia Raivitch and Grace Weyler sealed their defenders down low and scored some important baskets in the fourth quarter.
“This was an important victory for us as traveling to play South on their court is always a challenge. The players and coaches expected a tough Patriot Division game, and we were up for the challenge.”

Grace McShane had the hot hand early, scoring 15 of her team’s first quarter points and propelling the Owls to a 17-14 advantage. It was still a three-point game at halftime as the Indians hung tough, trailing 22-19.
The Owls outscored their visitors 13-8 in the third quarter and took a 35-27 lead into the final quarter on their way to the win.
Key players: Grace McShane had another big game for the Owls, finishing with a game-high 24 points that included three 3s.
Julia Koval led the Indians with 15 points, which included three 3-pointers, while Alexa Bondra had 13 as the duo kept their team close for four quarters.
Bensalem coach Steve Johnson:
–Credit to CR North: “Growth is constant at CR North as the season goes on. I think they played great, especially Koval and Bondra. North is a different team with Bondra out there.”
–Props: Grace kept us in the game in the first half, scoring the ball from all levels. She also did a great job of rebounding the ball today. Mischa (Ellzy) did a nice job with her on-ball defense. Jordyn (Bell) and Sydney (Daut) both made timely buckets when our offense was stalling.
“We have a tough trek ahead and have to capitalize off of two days of practice before going to Pennsbury.”

The Falcons celebrated the team’s two seniors – Emily Panaro and Bridget McGonigle – with a big win. The duo played starring roles in the win, combining for 22 of their team’s points.
Panaro had a team-high 14 while Sammie Haws added 12.

–Seniors shine:“It was nice to celebrate Senior Night in front of a very nice crowd. Emily Panaro (14 points) and Bridget McGonigle (8 points) both recorded career highs, and you could tell just how much they have meant to our program from the way the crowd responded to them, and especially their teammates. They have been outstanding teammates on the floor, in the locker room, on the bus and everywhere else. They deserved a night like this, and we are so fortunate that we still have more time left with them.”
–Props: “Alyssa Thomas had six assists in very limited playing time and did a great job finding our seniors for baskets.”

The Lady Rams opened up a 12-9 advantage after one quarter and took a one-point lead into halftime, 20-19. They led by two heading into the final quarter when they outscored their visitors 12-7 to earn their biggest win of the season.
Julia Lenox had four points in the fourth quarter, including a 2-for-2 effort at the foul line. Sam Murphy had a clutch 3 in the final frame.
Key players: Julia Lenox led a balanced Ram attack with 12 points – six in the first quarter – while Sam Murphy and Madison Lapp both had eight, and Megan Moylan had seven.
For the Indians, Avie Sakor led the way with 14 points while Kiera Fadden had 10.
Pennridge coach Jason Rapp:
–The game: “Tonight was one of those neighborhood rivalry games in which both teams are very familiar with each other and both teams play extremely hard with the game being within one or two possessions for almost the entire second half. We got off to a good start in the first quarter, and I just thought defensively we did a really good job on (Olivia) Herron and (Maddie) Nenstiel, who have been playing really, really well for them all season.”
–Props: “We got a total team effort tonight on both ends of the floor. Sam Murphy and Julia Lennox were great on Herron and Nenstiel.
“Megan Moylan (took 2 charges) and Ari Lauf did a great job with their defensive assignments and being active on the boards.
“Madison Lapp played her best game, controlling the pace and taking care of the ball and getting us into offense.
“We had a balanced offensive attack tonight from our starters, and freshman Reese Hopkins played great defense and took a huge charge late in the game.
“Give to credit to (Avie) Sackor and (Kiera) Fadden for Souderton – they battled and were really tough to stop tonight. They are a really good team.
“Really proud of our girls for continuing to compete and coming every day with an awesome attitude.”

Lily Brown might have known she was in for a big night.
The junior sharpshooter buried a pair of 3s and scored 12 points in the first quarter, propelling the Knights to an early 21-14 lead. They took a 26-20 lead into halftime and then opened the second half with an 18-8 third quarter to go on top 44-28 on their way to the division win. Brown was once again a catalyst, scoring eight points in the third quarter.
Key players: Lily Brown led all scorers with 26 points, a career high for the junior. Senior Tallie Smink added nine points – seven in the first half. Paityn Debro had eight points while Taysia Lee had seven.
For the Bucks, Marleigh Mallon’s 10 points led the attack.
North Penn coach Bri Cullen:
The game: “It was a really good road win! We were missing Mehya (Gadhania) tonight and Lacie (Haddock) is just coming off an injury, so people have been stepping up really big for us. They are playing great team basketball right now.
“The second half of league play is always a little more competitive and exciting, so I am proud of them for working as hard as they did to get a win against a talented West team.”
Brown on fire: “Lily had a huge game with a career high of 26. She was very patient with the ball and took very smart shots. She did not force and got her teammates involved which allowed her to find the openings around the rim.”

Jess Lockwood led a balanced East attack with 15 points, which included three 3-pointers. She also shared the team lead with seven rebounds. Haley Moran stuffed the stat sheet with 10 points, seven rebounds, three steals and eight assists, and freshman Payton Williams had a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds.

The Ghosts celebrated the team’s three seniors with a convincing win over the visiting Hatters.
Senior Aniyah Williams set the tone for the game with eight first-quarter points, propelling the Ghosts to a 19-8 lead. They never looked back.
Key players: Shya Crafton contributed 15 points, 9 rebounds, 3 steals, 2 assists and 3 blocks. Aniyah Williams had 12 points 7 rebounds 4 assists and 4 steals, and Nora Luskin sparked the defense with four steals to go along with 10 points. Off the bench, Asaliya Ortiz had four 3-pointers and 15 points.
Abington coach Allison Lawson:
The game: “I’m really proud of how we came out and set the tone from the jump, especially on Senior Night. We played together, shared the ball, and everyone contributed, which is exactly what you want to see.”
–Props: “Shya was outstanding on both ends of the floor and filled up the stat sheet, Aniyah controlled the game with her energy and playmaking, and Nora’s defense created offense for us all night. Then to get that spark off the bench from Asaliya – knocking down four 3s was huge. It was a total team effort and a great way to celebrate our seniors.”

Eliza Meersman and Kenna Winland both had 11 points to lead a balanced attack. Meersman also had eight rebounds, two
assists and three steals. Winland, who had three 3-pointers, had a team high five assists. Liv Patete had seven points and five rebounds. Grace Harvey had seven points and three steals, and Brooke Peduzzi had a team-high seven rebounds to go along with four points.

–Seniors honored: “The Class of 2026 consists of managers Angela Pinto and Olivia Budin, both of which have been so reliable, so mature, and so fun to have a part of our program. And players Mia Baron, Joslyn Perez, AJ Avery, and Kenna Winland. In celebrating them tonight, we got to reminisce about some of their accomplishments dating back to their freshman year. As freshman, Jos, Kenna, and AJ were all contributors to a team that won the Liberty Division and SOL tournament in 2023.
“As a group they have suffered through some major adversity these past few seasons with injuries; but have done so with such a refreshing and positive attitude. I
couldn’t be happier for this group to be enjoying their senior season, hopefully we can keep it going as long as possible.”

The Flying Cardinals put 27 points on the board in the first quarter and rolled to the decisive win in division play. Tamia Clark’s nine points led the Cards in the quarter. Ella Morris added eight points, which included two 3s, and Bridget DiMartile had 5. All told, the Cards had five 3s in the quarter with four different players connecting from beyond the arc.
For the game, the Cardinals had 14 3s.
By the numbers: Tamia Clark’s 18 points led the Cardinals. She also had five rebounds, four assists and three steals. Megan Ngo added 15 points on five 3-pointers. She also had five assists and three steals. Bridget DiMartile contributed 13 points and was 4-for-6 from the field and 2-for-2 at the foul line. She also had four rebounds, two assists, three steals and two blocked shots. Ella Morris was the fourth Card in double figures with 11 points and four assists. She also was 4-for-6 from the field. Ryniah Sharpe was 2-for-2 from beyond the arc for six points.
Katelyn Thomson led the Trojans with 20 points, which included three 3-pointers.

The Panthers celebrated Senior Night with a win over the visiting Golden Bears.
“It was a great night celebrating our three seniors tonight who have had such a big impact on our program,” Tennent coach Laura Whitney said. “I think the emotions of the night affected us a bit. We played a little tight and didn’t look sharp at 
times. Credit to Upper Moreland for showing a lot of fight. They played hard and didn’t go away easily.”
The Panthers, who led 12-6 after one quarter, took a 20-12 lead into halftime on their way to the win.
Key players: Megan Volz led a trio of Panthers in double figures with 16 – six in the first quarter and six more in the third. Avery Kocur added 13 points, and Halie Staub added 10 points.
Upper Moreland’s Hailey Milks led all scorers with 20 points.
William Tennent coach Laura Whitney:
–The game: “We have struggled a bit the last few games to find our offensive rhythm, which isn’t what you want at this point in the season. Luckily, our defense has helped give us a spark at times and we have been able to make plays when we need to.
“We have a few days to work on some things, and we’re looking forward to the opportunity to continue to improve.”
–Props: “I thought Big V had a great game tonight. She was really active on both ends of the floor and played with great energy.
“Avery hasn’t played her best the last few games, but she still finds ways to impact the game and make big plays.
“Staub was aggressive all night. She had some tough takes to the rim and was putting a lot of pressure on the defense. Defensively, she was flying around creating chaos.”

The visiting Lions, who led 12-10 after one quarter, limited the Lady Panthers to just four points in both the second and third quarters as they opened up a 30-18 lead on their way to the win.
Key players: Sydney Santora led three Lower Moreland players in double figures with 15, which included three 3-pointers. Maddie Broderick added 13 points, which included a 5-for-6 effort at the foul line – 4-for-4 in the fourth quarter. Emma DiJoseph had 11 points – six in the fourth quarter that included a 4-for-4 effort at the foul line.
Lower Moreland coach Andy Krasna:
–The Cheltenham legacy: “Cheltenham High School is a special place, and visiting the gym brings back lots of memories watching the most accomplished female players of any public high school in Pennsylvania. Notably Laura Harper (all-time leading scorer, NCAA champ with Maryland and WNBA player), Stacey Smalls (Big 5 Hall of Famer, Temple star, and Cheltenham’s current head coach Andrea Jones who was the starting point guard for the historic 2000 state championship team.”
–The game: “Tonight’s game will be a good memory too. Our defensive effort tonight was fantastic. We played with so much energy. I am convinced that our inability to practice (3 consecutive days because of the snow) gave our players a much-needed rest and was the catalyst for the success.”
–Getting defensive: “We held Maya Simmons to three points with the big-time effort of Mollie Martin. Mollie defends with so much heart and relishes the challenge of guarding other teams’ best players. Mollie’s teammates were helping as well, and most of the time we were flying all over the court disrupting Cheltenham offensive sets.”
–Props: “Sydney Santora is so much more than a scorer, and tonight she controlled the defensive boards. In our last game against CR South, she had 15 rebounds which is not uncommon for her. Tonight, she broke pressure, scored, rebounded and defended at an elite level.
“Emma Dijoseph played so steadily and never got rattled. Tonight, she scored some timely baskets and quieted down Cheltenham with a big bucket every time they made a run.
“Maddie Broderick brings so much energy every game and showed more of her offensive ability tonight. We see the offensive skill set in practice and tonight she was a shining star.
“Mady Rossiter was physical on the boards and was attacking on offense which drew defenders and allowed her to set up her teammates for good open looks.”
