National Conference
Council Rock South 16, Souderton 4
It’s always a reason to celebrate when a player reaches a milestone.
When two players reach a milestone in the same game … that’s even better.
And when you can add a decisive win over a league opponent to that … it doesn’t get much better than that.
Council Rock South hit the trifecta on Monday. Camryn Brundage reached the 100-goal mark for her career as part of a four-goal effort. Mia Geneles reached 200 points for her career in a seven-point outing.
And when the final horn sounded, the Golden Hawks had picked up a big 16-4 victory over Souderton in the National Conference opener for both squads.
“We played a great game as a team tonight, and had some big milestones,” said South coach Marina Schreiner. “Camryn Brundage hit 100 goals and Mia Geneles hit 200 points tonight. I’m very proud of them for their milestones and the whole team for their performance tonight.”
Ella Mayberry scored five goals and Mia Schink poured in seven points and added four draw controls and three caused turnovers for the Hawks.

Council Rock North 14, Bensalem 2
(Submitted by Council Rock North girls lacrosse)
It was a night that went far beyond the scoreboard at Council Rock North, where the North girls delivered a commanding 14-2 National Conference victory over Bensalem on Monday in a game that blended strong play with an even stronger purpose.
Before the opening draw, the focus shifted to something bigger than lacrosse. Senior captain Addison Deppi organized a Morgan’s Message Night, bringing awareness to the importance of mental health in athletics. The initiative encouraged players, families, and fans to reflect on the value of speaking up, supporting one another, and “taking a shot” at mental health — a message that resonated throughout the evening.
Once the game began, Council Rock North carried that energy onto the field with a complete team performance.
Leading the charge was senior captain Gabby Mann, who delivered a historic outing. Known as the team’s “assist queen,” Mann set a new single-game record with 10 assists, while also adding a goal and two ground balls in a performance that showcased both vision and leadership.
Captain Olivia Esposito controlled the midfield with authority, finishing with two goals, five draw controls, two ground balls, and a free-position tally, consistently giving North possession and momentum.
Fellow captain Cat McBride contributed across the board with two goals, one assist, three draw controls, and three ground balls, continuing to be a steady and impactful presence on both ends of the field.
Deppi, who helped lead the night off the field, also made her mark in the game with a goal and two ground balls, embodying leadership in every sense.
Sophomore Stella Allain had a breakout performance, tallying three goals and three assists, emerging as a key offensive weapon for the Indians.
The “fabulous freshmen” continued to shine as well. Clara Altier added a goal, while Isabel Wielehowski turned in an impressive performance with three goals, one assist, and two draw controls. Katelyn Campanelli also found the back of the net, contributing to the balanced scoring attack.
Defensively, Council Rock North was just as dominant. Goalie Mia Luna and the entire defensive unit held Bensalem in check throughout the game, limiting opportunities and maintaining control from start to finish.
Up next: North will visit Springfield Twp at 3:30 pm Wednesday for an SOL Crossover game. The Owls will visit nonleague opponent Nazareth Academy at 3:45 pm Wednesday.

A complete team effort powered the Central Bucks East girls lacrosse team to an impressive 9-3 win against crosstown rival Central Bucks South in Monday’s National Conference matchup.
For the Patriots, contributions came from every area of the field.

At the midfield, Megan Fahey, Paige Dougherty, Cece Hayes, and Natalie Berndt controlled the midfield transitions and draw controls, and caused turnovers to set the tempo for the game.
Defense doesn’t usually get the accolades and stats that attackers and midfielders do, but they are so important to the success of a team. The Patriot defense did a fantastic job working together, communicating, sliding, causing turnovers, and transitioning the ball up the field. Avery Stephenson, Bella DeHaven, Kayla Matlack, Ella Menard, and Madison Beck were all instrumental parts of the victory.

Pennridge 15, North Penn 4
It was all Rams today in the matchup Pennridge vs. North Penn. It was the first conference game for both teams, and it had a very competitive start.
The Rams had a great showing with nine different goal scorers on the day, showing the developing depth of the Rams’ bench. The battle on the draw was where the real competition lived where NP actually had the upper hand. We made adjustments and took over in the second half on the circle. I give a lot of props to North Penn #13 Maddie Gorman. She is a very skilled draw taker and player, and I knew it would be our biggest challenge today. With a strong defensive stand, we were able to consistently turn defense into offensive opportunities, which helped when we weren’t controlling the draw at times.
How it Happened: A Colbie Landherr goal from a Meg Moylan assist got the Rams started. Madigan Posey and Emma Gall were next on the sheet with individual drives to cage. Harper Posey was next where she notched her first of the day off an 8-meter. Madigan wasn’t finished making a mark in the first quarter and found the back of the net off an assist from her sister Harper with 16 seconds left on the clock taking the score to 5-2 after quarter one.
Paige Cowper was next on the score sheet off another Meg Moylan assist. Harper Posey put up her second and last on the day with a coast-to-coast goal. Meg notched her first and only on the day with three minutes left on the clock, taking the score to 8-3 in favor of the Rams at half.
Kayla Verespy didn’t waste any time in the third with a crease roll, notching her first. Emma Gall scored her second off an 8-meter just a minute later. Kayla Verespy wasn’t done and notched a flashy twizzler goal, her second and last of the day. Madigan Posey completed her hat trick with 4:00 left in the third. Posey has recorded a hat trick in all three games for the Rams this season and leads the team with 11 points in three games. We were excited to get a few more in the back of the net in the fourth quarter. Maddie Angelo scored her first on the year with eight minutes remaining on the game from an assist by Harper Posey, who had four points on the day. Freshman Leah Boytin went back-to-back, putting up her first two varsity goals of the year, and capping off the Rams scoring with 15 total on the day. Player props to freshman Marley Ambruch who saw solid time today and had a phenomenal caused turnover at the end of the game.
Pennridge coach Maddie Dachowski:
“Very happy with a fun win today. NP has some solid athletes, and we will never not take a conference game very seriously. Making quick adjustments and sticking to the game plan allowed us to run away with a dominate win today. It was really exciting to see nine different goal scorers today – we tested our depth and saw some new faces on the field.
“I was really proud to see Leah Boytin look so confident on the offensive end. She is a strong freshman for us, and I know she will work hard with every opportunity she gets this season! Excited for more fun and working a lot of different looks as we take on Neshaminy at home this week.”
Up next: Pennridge (3-0) will face Neshaminy at home Thursday (7pm).
American Conference
Springfield Twp 14, Upper Moreland 3
Springfield Twp goalkeeper Stormii Schock-Sprague recorded the 200th save of her high school career and kept Upper Moreland from ever threatening as the Spartans rolled to a 14-3 rout of the Golden Bears in Monday’s American Conference matchup.
Seven players contributed goals for the Spartans, with Julia Guicheteau and Casen Powell each scoring four times. Frankie Rizzo had a pair of goals and assisted on three others.
Kiera Hess scored two goals for the Bears, and Mia Hood picked up her first career goal.

Springfield Twp coach Katrina Metz Borzelleca: “This was our first league game of the season. The team looked great – playing together as a unit and working toward common goals that we have been focusing on in practice and our previous nonleague games. It was a strong showing from our team. Everyone contributed from our lowest attack to our deepest defender.
“Our ball movement was really great to see, something we have been working on throughout practices and our nonleague games. We also found each other in transition very well.
“On the offensive end, we had many players involved, showing great teamwork and unselfish play by always looking for the extra pass. Defensively, we played as a solid unit and we worked together to slow the ball down and force turnovers. Most importantly, we played as a unit from start to finish. We were focused on playing as a team and supporting each other. I am proud of the team and their effort and to walk away with a win.”
—A milestone in goal: “Our goalie Stormii Schock-Sprague recorded her 200th career save today. She played an incredible game. She is the backbone of our defensive unit. Stormii works hard in everything that she does and we are just so proud of her and all that she has accomplished so far.”
Upper Moreland coach Kim Frantz: “Tough one for us today, we just couldn’t click and get things going. Springfield did a good job of getting us out of our rhythm and forcing us to turn over the ball. With having a lot of freshmen getting playing time, the growing pains are real, and this will help us learn a lot today and will make us stronger later in the season.”
—Props: “Celebrate where we can, congratulations to Mia Hood on her first high school career goal!”
Up next: The Golden Bears are back in action at 3:30 pm today, hosting nonleague opponent Pope John Paul II. The Spartans will host Council Rock North in an SOL Crossover game at 3:45 pm Wednesday.

Plymouth Whitemarsh: Grace Harvey (6G, 1A), Riley Martin (3G), Maite Jayo (2G, 1A), Addi Stein (2 saves).
Plymouth Whitemarsh coach Ellen Reilly: “It took us awhile to settle in against the Abington zone defense. Both teams were back-and-forth for the first quarter. But in the second quarter, draw controls and maintaining possession worked out for us and by halftime we were up 5-3. In the third, PW midfielders fought hard on the draw, coming up with it either off the ground or in the air.
—Props: “Grace Harvey, Maite Jayo, Riley Martin, Grace Kerns, and Kai Jayo worked well together in transition.
“Grace Harvey ignited our offense with her aggressive pressure, which gained her four caused turnovers, which led to offensive scores.
