NORTH PENN 14, PENNRIDGE 9
The visiting Knights trailed by one at halftime but outscored their hosts 8-2 in the second half.
“We struggled in the first half to put the ball in the net,” Knight coach Heather Mellow said. “We took a lot of shots, but (goalie) Alexa Machado was a wall we could not figure out how to shoot around.
“Pennridge definitely fed off of Alexa’s performance. They definitely out-hustled and outscored us in the first half. We even started out a bit sluggish in the second half. Pennridge scored two more goals in the beginning of the half.”
But then everything changed, and the Knights found their rhythm.
“Midway through the second half, we started to control more of the draws, keep possession, made better shooting decisions, and our defense stepped up with some big plays,” Mellow said.
Bri O’Donnell led the Knights with four goals, one assist, five ground balls and three draw controls. Grace Sacchetti added a hat trick to go along with two assists, a team-high nine ground balls and four draw controls. Casey Cavanaugh and Brooke Millevoi each added a pair of goals. Cavanaugh also had one assist, four ground balls and three draw controls. Contributing one goal each were Mikayla Barrow, Heather Shannon and Kristin Varilla. Barrow also had two assists while Shannon had four ground balls and four draw controls. Alexa Sparango led the Knights’ defense with four caused turnovers.
Jenna Lund’s hat trick led the Rams. Casey Hefner, Alex Lippman, Morgan Wahlers and Aubrey Maher each added one goal and one assist. Macy Price had one goal to go along with five draw controls. Wahlers added four draw controls while Maher chipped in an assist.
Ashley Lambert recorded six saves in a winning effort in goal for the Knights. Pennridge’s Machado was credited with 20 saves in a standout effort in goal.
“Alexa kept us in the game tonight,” Pennridge coach Karen Schnurr said. “She came up with huge saves, which allowed us to stay with them.
“Unfortunately, we were not able to finish on attack in the second half, and North Penn was able to capitalize on our mistakes.”
North Penn (6-6, 4-1 SOL) will host Pennsbury on Wednesday at 7 p.m., and Pennridge (6-5, 2-3) will be on the road at Council Rock North on Tuesday.

CENTRAL BUCKS WEST 15, PENNSBURY 8
Dani Dundas was all but unstoppable, scoring eight goals to lead the Bucks to the win. Maddie Maio added four goals and one assist while Casey Reichwein, Emma Haring and Lucy Varner had one goal each. Contributing one assist each were Liv Fitzgerald and Chloe Miller Russo.
For the Falcons, Emelie Curtis had three goals and two assists and Lily Nolan added three goals. Annie Price had a goal and an assist with three caused turnovers. Maddie Spratt also contributed a goal.
West goalie Lauren Ring was credited with five saves in the win. Falcon goalie Natalie Smith also had five saves.
Central Bucks West (12-1, 5-0 SOL) will be on the road at Central Bucks South on Wednesday at 7 p.m., and Pennsbury (6-5, 2-3) will travel to North Penn on Wednesday for a 7 p.m. game.

UPPER DUBLIN 13, UPPER MORELAND 7
The Flying Cardinals found their offensive stride early, scoring nine first-half goals on their way to a 9-3 halftime lead. The Golden Bears never threatened. The win brought to a welcome end a three-game skid for the Cardinals, who opened their season with eight wins in nine games.
Mack Moore and Julie Reardon both contributed a hat trick for the Cardinals. Moore also had four draw controls. Adding two goals each were Jenn McCarry, Jackie Rama and Caroline Wall. Rama added an assist.
For the Golden Bears, Chloe Leiter scored three goals while Emily Meakim added two goals and one assist, and Jess Flanagan also had a pair of goals. Alexis Lamb contributed one assist in a contest that saw the Cardinals hold a 27-14 advantage in shots.
“Upper Moreland played with heart until the last minute of the game, but Upper Dublin just played better overall today,” UM coach Kim Frantz said. “We had great moments and not great moments.
“When we get back to playing a whole game solid from the first minute until the last minute, we will be in great shape.”
UD goalie Sarah Herchenroder was credited with eight saves in the win.
Upper Dublin (9-4, 3-2 SOL) will host Wissahickon on Wednesday at 7 p.m., and Upper Moreland (9-4, 3-3) will travel to Abington on Wednesday for a 5 p.m. contest.

PLYMOUTH WHITEMARSH 12, WISSAHICKON 5
A pair of seniors reached personal milestones in Monday’s road win. Senior Ali Diamond, who will continue her lacrosse career at Georgetown University, scored the 200th goal of her career while teammate Sophie Kolkka notched her 100th goal. Kolkka, a St. Joseph’s University recruit, was sidelined her entire junior season with an injury but has come back strong.
In Monday’s win, Diamond scored three goals and assisted on two others for a five-point game. Victoria Betterly added three goals, and Kolkka had two goals and one assist. Raquel Baskin, Max Leszczynski and Kennedy Reardon each had a goal and an assist. Lexi Petrakis added one goal.
For the Trojans, Sophia Chiodo Ortiz scored three goals while Sam Intieri added a pair. Kelly Dickson contributed one assist.
Jaclyn Staub (three saves) and Sarah Burtnick (one save) combined for four saves for the Trojans.
Plymouth Whitemarsh (11-3, 6-0 SOL) will travel to Hatboro-Horsham Wednesday for a 7 p.m. contest, and Wissahickon (4-9, 2-3) will be on the road at Upper Dublin on Wednesday at 7 p.m.

SPRINGFIELD TOWNSHIP 14, HATBORO-HORSHAM 4
A trio of players – Ellie Hamilton, Lindsey Smith and Emily Walsh – scored four goals each to lead the Spartans to the convincing win. Hamilton also had three assists, three draw controls and three ground balls while Smith had eight draw controls. Walsh also had one assist, one ground ball and one caused turnover. Charlotte Henry (one goal, one ground ball) and Ella Marino (one goal, two caused turnovers) also contributed to the scoring.
Gracie Woron and Maddie Yoder both contributed one ground ball and one caused turnover. Also contributing one caused turnover each were Allie Cottone and Molly McGoldrick. Jaden Callands and Abby Baughan both had one ground ball.
Springfield goalie Annie Ryan recorded four saves in the win.
Springfield Township (7-6, 2-4 SOL) will be on the road at Quakertown on Wednesday for a 7 p.m. contest, and Hatboro-Horsham (2-9, 2-3) will host Plymouth Whitemarsh on Wednesday.

Ten players contributed goals for the Ghosts in Monday’s win with 11 of Abington’s goals coming off assists as everyone got into the act.
Abby Thomas, Lesha Karaba and Abby Johnson had two goals each. Jamira Mashore, Taherra Rodgers, Kayley Ehnow, Shea Gormley, Becca Gable, Anna Joseph, Sam Raymond, Jill Poppert, Janelle Baer and Mikayla Kizel each had one goal.
Abington (8-5, 4-1 SOL) will host Upper Moreland on Wednesday at 5 p.m., and Cheltenham (0-10, 0-6) will be on the road at Souderton on Wednesday at 7 p.m.

Sarah Goodwin and Carlie Doughty combined for nine goals to lead a balanced Indian attack. Goodwin led the Indians with five goals to go along with six draw controls, and Doughty had four goals, one assist and five draw controls.
Randi Hess and Riley McGowan both had a pair of goals. McGowan also had one assist and one caused turnover. Contributing one goal each were Amanda Boisico, Anna Anello, Avery Doughty and Sydney Rohrbach. Doughty also had six draw controls while Rohrbach added one assist and three caused turnovers. Liz O’Hara had two assists and one caused turnover and Kate Connolly chipped in an assist. Ceci Puente had three caused turnovers while Mariah Bainbridge, Jackie DeAviz, Juliana Borisow, Kayla Moyer and Sophia Lynch each had one caused turnover.
Courtney Mallon recorded three saves in her varsity debut in goal. The freshman goalie earned the starting nod in the absence of starting goalie Lauren Scott.
Souderton (9-4, 4-1 SOL) will host Cheltenham for its Senior Night on Wednesday at 7 p.m. Quakertown (1-12, 1-5) will host Springfield Township on Wednesday.

CENTRAL BUCKS SOUTH 13, KENNETT 12 (OT)
Kasey Dietzel is rewriting the record books at Central Bucks South. The U.S. Naval Academy-bound senior scored the 200th goal of a stellar career in Monday’s overtime thriller to establish a new school record.
Anna Green gave the Titans the dramatic win when she scored in overtime. The University of Cincinnati recruit led the Titans with six goals and four assists for a 10-point night, and Dietzel was not far behind, finishing with seven points on four goals and three assists. Francine Richick added a hat trick, and Katie Jennings had one assist.
South goalie Laura Robinson recorded 14 saves in the win.
Central Bucks South (10-3, 3-2 SOL) will travel to Neshaminy on Tuesday.
CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 20, LANSDALE CATHOLIC 2
The visiting Patriots owned Monday’s non-league game from start to finish, opening up a 13-7 halftime lead. It was more of the same in the second half.
Sophomore Riley Forman torched the Crusaders’ defense for seven goals while Brigitte Bishop had a five-point night with one goal and four assists. Sophomore Quinn Ferry (two goals, two assists) and sophomore Katie Powell (three goals, one assist) both had four-point nights. Freshman Courtney Mackenzie and sophomore Kieran Fink each scored a pair of goals. Senior Erin McGovern added a goal and two assists while senior Mackenzie Boyle had a goal and an assist. Bella Ridolfi added one goal.
Central Bucks East (8-5, 4-1 SOL) will be on the road at Council Rock South on Wednesday.
