SOL American Conference
Wissahickon 17, Souderton 16 (OT)
Sofia Chiodo Ortiz scored midway through the first overtime to lift Wissahickon to a wild win over visiting Souderton on Monday.
“Both teams played great,” Wissahickon coach Rob Intrieri said. “It was a great Suburban One League American game.”
Chiodo Ortiz took a feed from Intrieri and netted the game-winner with just over two minutes left in the extra session.
“We were up 15-10 when Sam Intrieri went out with blood streaming down her head,” coach Intrieri said.“But Sam was able to come back in just in time to make a great pass to Sofia for the game-winner in OT
“(Early on), Souderton jumped out to a quick 4-0 lead and still led 6-2. We called timeout and settled everyone down. We had just come off two one-goal wins, so there was no panic. We knew we had a lot of time to make adjustments.”
The Trojans outscored the Indians 8-1 to go into halftime with a 10-7 lead. They led by a 15-8 score before the Indians made a late run.
The Indians forced the extra session by outscoring the Trojans 4-0 down the stretch to tie things (a Randi Hess goal with just 10 seconds left in regulation forced the overtime).
Chiodo Ortiz led the Trojans with seven goals and two assists while Intrieri had five goals and one assist. Kelly Dickson added two goals and two assists. Quinn Gaffey had two goals and one assist. Abby Degroat had one goal while Emma Baker, Brooke Berry and Lexi Hobson all chipped in with one assist.
“Emma Baker did an excellent job on the draw as well,”coach Intrieri said.
Riley McGowan led Souderton with six goals and Sophia Sclafani had four while Hess finished with a hat trick (and an assist).
Caroline Kelly, Lauren Kenah (one assist) and Kylie Norbeck (one assist) each had a goal in the loss.Clark Trowbridge had a pair of assists and Sydney Rohrbach had one assist while goalie Lauren Scott made 13 saves.
Wissahickon (5-0, 1-0 SOL) will travel to Quakertown on Wednesday, and Souderton (3-4, 1-1) will host Abington Wednesday at 7 p.m.

Upper Dublin 15, Springfield Township 10
Mack Moore scored her 100th career goal to help Upper Dublin on the way to an American Conference win over visiting Springfield Township on Monday.
Moore, who finished with two goals and an assist, drew the praise of coach Dee Cross.
“Mack just works hard on the field in whatever she does,” Cross said. “She makes things happen and is always working to get better. It is no surprise she has hit the mark and I know she will continue to work to make the 
team better.”
The Cardinals, now 2-0 in conference play, received a game-high six goals from Jackie Rama and three tallies from Jenn McCarry. Julia Reardon added a pair of goals while Becky Browndorf (two assists) and Allie Rock each had one goal. Ellie Eby contributed an assist while goalie Riley Brady made nine saves.
The Spartans also had a nice team effort led by Emily Smith (three goals, five draw controls); Lauren Corrado (one goal, one ground ball); Emily Walsh (two caused turnovers); Maddie Yoder (four goals, eight draw controls, one caused turnover); Ella Marino (two goals, one draw control, two ground balls, one caused turnover); Molly McGoldrick (four ground balls, three caused turnovers); Gracie Woron (four ground balls); and Julie Kelly (one ground ball). Goalie Annie Ryan made 10 saves in the loss.
Upper Dublin (4-3, 2-0 SOL) will travel to Upper Moreland Wednesday, and Springfield Township (3-2, 0-2) will host Centenham on Wednsday.

Quakertown 19, Cheltenham 9
Quakertown used a balanced scoring attack to post an American Conference win over host Cheltenham on Monday.
Haley Hangey led the way for Quakertown with a game-high five goals and Jordana Law provided a hat trick.
“Haley Hangey is a huge threat for us on offense and our defense did a great job today,” Quakertown coach Brittany Remmey said. “The ball movement is getting better as well as our patience on offense. It's good to have Kayla Hillaert back after her being out with a concussion for the first part of the season.”
Kyla Frederick, Ava Milne and Hillaert each had a pair of goals in the victory while Haley Gordon, Natalie Reilly, Tessa O’Donnell and Bailey Roman notched single tallies.
Remmey praised the play of her team in the early going of the season.
“Sophomore Cori Pursel has excellent defensive footwork, and seniors Hailey Reiss and Emma Pizzullo make some great defensive plays with their communication and ground balls in the (goal area),” Remmey said.“Junior Mackenzie Adamson and senior Piper Yerkes do a great job of being in help defense. Besides junior Haley Hangey, who is our leading scorer, there are some really talented attack that are going to be tremendous impact players for Quakertown girls lacrosse like freshmen Kyla Frederick and Ava Milne.
“Our attack is very unselfish and moved the ball around today. Sophomore Haley Gordon did a nice job of looking for the open cutters. Freshman Madilyn LaBonge is developing into a solid center with placing her draws and being a pivotal player on defense and offense. Sophomore Morgan Sipprell is always a hustler on the draw, winning many of them for us out of pure heart. Freshman Leah Mestayer is improving a little each game as a first year goalie.”
Sophomore Morgan Sipprell scooped up a team-high six ground balls while Cori Pursel and Leah Mestayer both had four.
Quakertown (2-3, 1-0 SOL) will host Wissahickon on Wednesday, and Cheltenham (0-2, 0-1) will travel to Springfield Township on Wednesday.
Abington 15, Hatboro-Horsham 9
Abington exploded for eight second-half goals and allowed just two, turning a 7-7 tie into the 15-9 win. The Ghosts spread the scoring around, and it paid off.
The Ghosts received goals from six players with Kaley Ehnow pacing the attack with five goals, one assist and four draw controls.
Maddie Hinkle and Abby Thomas each had hat tricks with Hinkle also contributing an assist.
Grace Hinkle had two goals and nine draw controls and Kelly McCallister and Jamira Mashore each had a goal. McCallister also chipped in with a pair of assists and Mashore had one assist.
Goalie Ellie Hughes turned away 10 shots.
“In the heat of the moment, I felt our team held our heads high and kept our composure,” Abington coach Mary Elizabeth Klepper said. “The sister duo, Maddie and Grace Hinkle, really stepped it up today. Grace’s draw control played a huge role in the second half, and Maddie found the back of the net to help up us grow our lead. All around, we played as a team and that showed across the field.”
Abington (4-1, 1-0 SOL) will travel to Souderton on Wednesday, and Hatboro-Horsham (2-4, 0-2) will host Plymouth Whitemarsh Wednesday.

Central Bucks West 12, Pennridge 8
Casey Reichwein had a game-high seven goals and 10 draw controls to help lead host Central Bucks West to a National Conference win over Pennridge on Monday.
“The girls really came to play tonight and rebounded from a tough loss on Friday,” Central Bucks West coach Rebecca Cartee Haring said.“They showed the kind of hustle that makes it a fun game to watch, especially against a solid Pennridge team.”
Shelby Hahn had two goals and an assist in the win while Emma Haring (two draw controls, one assist), Tori Albrecht and Maddy McGarry (one assist) each added one goal. Goalie Lauren Ring made eight saves.
Alex Lippman led the Rams with four goals and Jenna Lund (one assist) had a pair of tallies. Morgan Wahlers (one assist, five draw controls) and Amelia Loughery each had a goal and Jill Csaszar had an assist. Goalie Alexa Machado made 11 saves.
“Pennridge played with a lot of heart and fight,” Pennridge coach Karen Schnurr said. “We need to learn how to play a complete game, but tonight showed that the team is willing to go harder and not give up.”
Central Bucks West (3-2, 1-0 SOL) will travel to Central Bucks South on Wednesday, and Pennridge (1-5, 0-1) will host North Penn on Wednesday.

Pennsbury 18, Council Rock South 10
A team effort aided Pennsbury in a National Conference win over visiting Council Rock South on Monday.
“The girls all played very well as a team today,” Pennsbury coach Shannon McPherson said. “They continue to be positive and encourage each other. This is huge in their success, they truly want to see each other succeed and get excited when their teammates do well.”
Maddy Spratt paced the Falcons’ offense with a game-high five goals while Maggie Golder (two assists) and Sarah Walcott each added a hat trick. Lexie Snyder and Emelie Curtis each contributed a pair of goals while Brooke Weaver had a goal and five assists and Darrien Furiness had a goal and two assists. Sophia Curtis also had a goal in the victory.
Pennsbury (5-0, 1-0 SOL) will travel to Council Rock North Wednesday, and Council Rock South (3-4, 1-2) will host New Hope-Solebury in a non-league game Tuesday.

North Penn 17, Neshaminy 5
North Penn jumped out to an early lead and never looked back on the way to a National Conference win over visiting Neshaminy on Monday.
The Maidens, who led 11-1 at halftime, received goals from 12 players in the triumph.
“It was a nice team effort, especially with 12 different players scoring,” North Penn coach Heather Mellow said.
Kat Rimmer, Morgan Dyck, Kristin Varilla, Emily Varilla and Lily Szilagyi each had two goals in the win (and Szilagyi also had two assists).
Alli Lindsay, Casey Cavanaugh, Grace Sacchetti, Riley Pickford, Emmy D’Ambrosio, Alaina Mullaly and Alexa Sparango each had single goals.
Lindsay and Sacchetti also each had two assists while Cavanaugh had one assist. Goalie Ashley Lambert made five saves in the win.
North Penn (2-4, 1-0 SOL) will travel to Pennridge on Wednesday, and Neshaminy (3-4, 0-2) will host Central Bucks East on Wednesday.

Central Bucks East 14, Council Rock North 6
Stifling defense and consistent offense helped host Central Bucks East down Council Rock North in a National Conference game Monday.
“We had great defensive clears and ground-ball control by Ava Lisle and Kendall Hudson,” Central Bucks East coach Jordan Sanocki said. “ And Lindsey Thompson was stepping up throughout the midfield with three draw controls.”
Riley Forman paced the Patriots offense, which scored seven goals in each half, with a game-high seven goals.
Quinn Ferry had four goals and four assists in the win while Brigitte Bishop had a pair of goals and five draw controls. Courtney Mackenzie also had a goal in the victory while goalie Fiona Henderson had eight saves.
Central Bucks East (4-3, 1-0 SOL) will be on the road at Neshaminy on Wednesday, and Council Rock North (0-5, 0-1) will host Pennsbury on Wednesday.
