Upper Dublin 15, Lower Moreland 2
Just because they were celebrating Senior Night, Jenn McCarry and the rest of her class were not about to just sit back and let the underclassmen have all the fun.
Showing the leadership they’ve been displaying throughout the season, the senior class combined for 12 goals and 6 assists as the Cardinals routed American Conference opponent Lower Moreland 15-2 on Friday.
As she’s done so many times this season, McCarry led the attack with 6 goals and 2 assists. Fellow seniors Ellie Eby and Maisie Hanson each scored 2 goals and Allie Rock and Lauren Dartley each added 1 goal. And senior goalkeeper Riley Brady posted 8 saves to earn the win.
In addition to the seniors, Aditi Foster, Tess Reardon, and Julie Zlotnikoff each scored 1 goal for the Cardinals, who move to 6-2 in American Conference play, 7-6 overall. The Cardinals will visit William Tennent at 3:30 pm Monday.
Paige Malpezzi scored both of Lower Moreland’s goals, one in each half. Lower Moreland falls to 1-7, 4-10, and will host Abington at 3:30 pm Monday.

Abington 14, Hatboro-Horsham 2
Lesha Karaba scored 5 goals and Maddie Hinkle poured in another 4 as Abington cruised past Hatboro-Horsham in Friday’s American Conference game.
Shea Gormley connected for a hat trick while Abby Johnson and Mei Mei Cheng each added 1. Hinkle also had 7 draw controls.
Chloe Herghelegiu made 11 saves in the winning effort and drew praise from her coach, as did a pair of defenders.
“Chloe played an amazing game,” said Ghosts coach Amalie Kreitman. “The defense played an amazing game as well. Caroline Hughes and Audrey Silverman both played a great game today.”
Abington moves to 4-3 in American Conference play, 5-4 overall. Abington will visit Lower Moreland at 3:30 pm Monday. The Hatters fall to 3-4, 3-4, and will take to the road to play at New Hope-Solebury at 3:30 pm Monday.
Nonleague
Council Rock South 12, Upper Moreland 6
Council Rock South sent off its senior class—Lauren Smith, Sophia Kutsaya, Rianna Shields, Carley Irvin, Emma Franchini, and Madison Hennelly—in style, doubling up nonleague opponent Upper Moreland 12-6 in Friday’s Senior Night game for the Golden Hawks.
“We honored our amazing, accomplished and inclusive six seniors,” Rock South coach Madison Hurwitz said. “This group is really awesome – they’re really good girls.”
Irvin celebrated Senior Night by leading all scorers with 4 goals and 2 assists. Cailey Hiscox had 3 goals and 1 assist, Shields and Zoe Brossman each registered 1 goal and 1 assist, and Amy Loving, Meg Rafter, Karissa Smedley each scored 1 goal for the Golden Hawks, who improve to 12-2 overall (7-0 in National Conference play).
Olivia Meakim led Upper Moreland with 2 goals. Heidi Wittick had a goal and 2 assists, Reagan Cummins scored once and added 1 assist, and Charlotte James and Maddy Trzaska each scored once. Molly Meakim and Zoe Valdevenito each chipped in with 1 assist.
Willow Taylor registered 4 draw controls for the Bears, while Heidi Wittick earned 2 and Olivia Meakim 1. Taylor also forced 5 turnovers, while Molly Meakim contributed 4 and Riley Mullen 2. Emma Hurley made 14 saves in the cage for Upper Moreland (7-9, 6-2 American Conference). The Bears visit Springfield Township at 3:30 pm Monday. South will play at Jenkintown at 3:30 pm Saturday and then host Souderton at 5 pm Monday.

Souderton 10, Coatesville 7
Lauren Hallman scored 5 goals as Souderton overcame a slow start, rallying from a 4-1 halftime deficit to post a 10-7 victory over Coatesville in Friday’s nonleague matchup.
Reiley Knize scored a hat trick and added an assist, Caroline Kelly scored 2 goals, and Ang Borisow and Lexi Krebs each scored once.
Courtney Mallon and Tegan Farina split time in the cage for Souderton (10-5 overall, 5-4 National Conference) with each recording 5 saves. Souderton returns to action on Monday for a 5 pm game at Council Rock South.

Wilson-West Lawn 18, North Penn 8
Kiera Holt made 15 saves in a valiant effort for North Penn, but the Knights were unable to build momentum and dropped an 18-8 loss to nonleague foe Wilson-West Lawn on Friday.
“Kiera Holt kept us alive defensively with so many saves. She played great today,” said coach Heather Mellow. “We struggled to win possession of the ball off the draw today. That coupled with too many offensive turnovers really hurt us. And Wilson capitalized on every single one.”
Kayla Stressman led the North Penn offense with 3 goals. Emily Varilla added 2 goals, Alli Lindsay had a goal and 2 assists, and Jordan Baily and Lily Szilagyi each scored once.
North Penn falls to 7-4 overall (6-1 in National Conference play). The Knights will look to return to their winning ways when they host Pennridge at 5:15 pm Monday.
Quakertown 11, Lansdale Catholic 8
Quakertown overcame a 6-5 halftime deficit and held nonleague opponent Lansdale Catholic to just 2 goals in the second half to pull out a hard-fought 11-8 victory on Friday.
Leah Mestayer made 8 saves to earn the victory in the cage for the Panthers, who improve to 5-6 overall (1-4 in American Conference play).
Kyla Frederick led Quakertown with 3 goals, Madison Peacher and Katelyn Derstine each chipped in with 2 goals, and Tessa O’Donnell, Mya Hibsman, Isabelle Kave, and Katie Hagerty each added 1 goal. Morgan Sipprell (2), O’Donnell (1), Kave (1) and Livian Stover (1) each recorded assists in the win.
“It was our best transition game of the season,” Quakertown coach Tracy Hibsman said. “Kyla Frederick had the hat trick, and Leah Meystayer in goal did great.”
Quakertown will take to the field again when the Panthers host Wissahickon at 6 pm Monday.
