Jessie Bernabe had herself a day Saturday.
In a stellar outing, the senior midfielder scored three goals and assisted on another, leading the Patriots to the decisive non-league road win. Sophomore forward Mia Forney also had a big game, assisting on three goals and scoring one.
Bernabe (Forney assist) put the Patriots on the scoreboard with 25 minutes remaining in the first half. It was a preview of things to come as the duo connected on three straight goals – two in a six-minute span midway through the first half to send the Patriots into halftime with a 2-0 lead.
The duo picked up where they left off in the second half, connecting for the third time 14 minutes into the half. Then it was Forney finding the back of the net with an assist from Ava Mignon. Sydney Ralph closed out the scoring with a Bernabe assist.
The win was the seventh without a loss for the Patriots.

CB East coach Jake Nesteruk on the win: “Overall, a strong team effort from our group. I thought the (first) half was a bit tight for us, and that’s to the credit of Quakertown defensively. Second half our kids just attacked the right areas and played with a bit of higher intensity and as a result, we are able to extend the game in our favor and spend most of that second half with the ball.
–Props: “Great day for many of our girls, but any time you see a girl score three, you know they are special. Jessie routinely finds a way to exploit opponents, time her runs, exploit gaps and finish clinically. We still are working on putting together a full game, but to earn a shutout and take care of the game like we did is a testament to the coachability and commitment of our group.”
