Check out the recaps for SOL girls’ soccer teams in action Monday.

Neshaminy 3, Conwell-Egan Catholic 0
While Neshaminy’s offense has been producing at a decent rate to start the season, there had been something missing.
No matter the season, Neshaminy teams always seem to be a threat on set pieces thanks to a mix of players able to serve a good ball in and others able and willing to go after the ball and knock it in. As a new week started, Neshaminy had yet to cash in on any of its set piece opportunities.
Lily Kaczmarek has been consistent on the serving part and thanks to Ava Hood’s aggression against the Eagles on Tuesday, Neshaminy was finally able to chalk up not one, but two set pieces in the back of the net.
Scoring Summary
1st half
N – Ava Hood
2nd Half
N – Ava Hood
N – Bri Garyah (Aislyn Fitzgerald)
Neshaminy coach Josh Van Reed on the win: “Overall I think we played a good game today. The midfield really stepped up and won a lot of balls for us. In the first half we created a lot of opportunities but just couldn’t seem to find the final touch, either the pass would be just behind or the shot just wide. Egan was getting chances too and our defense did a good job of holding things down. I was happy to see us score from a set piece today. So far, our goals this season have all come from the run of play, and we have a couple girls who can be dangerous in the air.”
–Hood scoring on corners: “Today Ava Hood got two goals off corner kicks, one in the first and another in the second half. In the first half, she had just missed a header wide when we earned another corner. She made a good run to find the ball from Lily Kaczmarek, who has been serving great corners for us this season. Again, we were able to capitalize off a corner with Ava scoring at the beginning of the second half. We have been talking about how important they are and taking advantage of the opportunity.”
–Adding insurance: “The third goal came with about 10 minutes left in the match when Aislyn Fitzgerald slipped a ball through the defense and Bri Garyah was able to get in behind the defense as the keeper was coming out, she had a tough angle but placed the ball up under the bar.”
–Standouts: “Center midfield of Cassidy Tweedie, Mia Stock, Ana Axenroth and Chloe Mougeotte today did a huge bulk of work winning balls and distributing.”

NESHAMINY 1 2 – 3
CONWELL-EGAN 0 0 – 0
Pennridge 2, Wilson West Lawn 1
Mikayla Loux has found a groove for the Rams.
The sophomore forward is making the most of her first season as a full-time varsity player after opening her scoring account with a brace in last week’s win over Souderton. She followed up with another goal, her third of the season, to open Tuesday’s scoring.
The deciding goal Tuesday would come from another new name to the lineup this year. Madalyn Buchanan converted a corner kick from Erin Corbett, also in the first half, which held up as the eventual winner.
Scoring Summary
1st half
P – Mikayla Loux (Madigan Posey)
P – Madalyn Buchanan (Erin Corbett)
2nd Half
Wilson
Pennridge coach Lucas Kriner on the win: “Thrilled with our first half productivity. Throughout the game, there were some good passages of circulating the ball, and we hit the post twice. Those game moments feed us. But at times it felt like we were defending the lead when we could have just kept the ball more. We need to be better attacking with an early lead. Overall, glad to get the win. The girls worked hard for it.”
–Key players: “Happy to see Madalyn get the deciding goal today. She has great ability to win aerial duels in midfield and in the box. Mikayla continues to do a solid job of getting forward and creating chances. Hoping to see more points from both of them as we progress in the season.”

PENNRIDGE 2 0 – 2
WILSON 0 1 – 1
Archbishop Carroll 2, Central Bucks West 1 (OT)
The Bucks have shown plenty of fight and plenty of tenacity so far this season, even if it hasn’t reflected in their results.
In Friday’s loss to Lower Merion, last year’s District 1 4A runner up, West scored a late goal to put a scare into the Aces. On Tuesday, senior captain Janelle Blokker did it again, knocking in a late finish that forced extra time against a Patriots side that’s looking like it could be a contender in the Catholic League.
The next step for West is turning some of its chances into goals earlier on.
Scoring Summary

AC – Colleen Lloyd
2nd Half
CBW – Janelle Blokker

AC – Greta Potten
CB West coach Bree Benedict on the match: “We were just unfortunate to not convert quite a few chances, while Carroll deserves credit for taking advantage of theirs. We’ve shown an ability to score late; it’s a matter of time until we start finding the back of the net more.”
