COUNCIL ROCK NORTH 3, COUNCIL ROCK SOUTH 0
The Indians notched their 10th win of the season without a loss – their most recent against their sister school.
“A really solid win against our rival school today,” Rock North coach Gavin Flannigan said. “Our administrations created a
‘North/South’ day with multiple games on campus – soccer, field hockey, volleyball and XC. It made for a great day in the community and a really great atmosphere all day.”
The visiting Indians scored a pair of first-half goals – the first by Kinsley Smith on a corner kick and the second by Audrey Rogan. Smith accounted for the lone goal of the second half.
Scoring summary
First half
Kinsley Smith (CRN) assisted by Sarina Igval
Audrey Rogan (CRN) assisted by Keagan Terry
Second half
Kinsley Smith (CRN) assisted by Sarina Igval
Council Rock North coach Gavin Flannigan: “This is my ninth year at North, and the only consistent thing I can say is that every North/South game is competitive regardless of form or record and today was no different. South were very motivated from the jump, and in the first 10 minutes, I thought they were the more aggressive team. It took us a little while to settle and get into a rhythm, but we started to connect some passes and create
some good opportunities.
“We scored first on a corner kick when Kinsley Smith headed home from a Sarina Igval cross. A few minutes later we added a second after some good possession, Keagan Terry found Audrey Rogan who fired it home. It was a really good finish, a half volley across the goal into the far corner.
“At half time, we knew South would come out with energy, and we would need to absorb that early in the second half. Right away they created a breakaway, but Reese Ludwig came up with a great save to keep our 2-0 lead. Halfway through the second half, we were able to add a third goal when Kinsley headed home again from a Sarina Igval corner.”
–Props: “I thought the spine of our team was really solid today, Reese in goal, Kinsley Smith and Cierra Frank in the back, Addison Martin in the middle, and then Keagan Terry up top. For me, Audrey Rogan was a standout, she won balls in the middle, forced turnovers through her effort and her goal was excellent, it was a really good performance from her in a game like today.
Up next: Council Rock North is off until next Saturday (11:30am) when the Indians will host William Tennent in a non-league crossover game. Council Rock South will host Central Bucks South in a non-league crossover game on Monday.

CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 2, RADNOR 1
In a battle of two of the district’s premiere programs – East is ranked #1 in Class 4A while Radnor is #1 in 3A, it was the visiting Patriots notching the hard-earned win.

Scoring summary
First half
Mia Forney (CBE) assisted by Quinn Reilley,11:40
Second Half:
Mia Forney (CBE) assisted by Mackenzie Peters, 24:57
Radnor goal, 3:38
Central Bucks East coach Jake Nesteruk:
–On the game: “Total team effort from our group today and thought we did enough to earn a win on the road against a strong Radnor team. I thought they put us on our heels from the jump of this game, but as the first half went on, I thought we got progressively better and spent 20 or 25 minutes with good match control. Credit to our girls for figuring out how to break through their back line, and thought we created a few good transitional moments on a big field which netted our first goal – a great ball in by Quinn Reilley who continues to make things happen for us and Mia Forney with a strong finish.
“In the second half, we had to make some adjustments with some knocks picked up in this game, and I think Radnor had the better of the run of play, but we were able to sustain enough possession and create enough on the transition for Mia to get her second in this game.
“The last 15, you could feel the intensity of this game, and I thought we defended really well in key moments and didn’t give away anything incredibly dangerous. It was a bit unfortunate we had a bit of a lapse defending on one of their only corners of the game after such a great defensive performance from us. You see teams start to crumble from those moments, but I thought we kept our heads well and we saw through the last couple of minutes.”
Props: Out of the back, I thought Addie Langlois had a monster day for us. Cece Hayes, Paige Dougherty, and Skylar rounded out a really good day for our backline. Delaney Ralph stepped in down the stretch of this game and played well above her years. I thought Mackenzie Peters had a great second half that made a big difference for us. Overall, this game required a strong effort across the board, and I don’t think we saw perfect games, but we saw kids covering for one another really well and that’s all you can ask for.”
Up next: Central Bucks East will travel to Abington for a non-league crossover agme on Monday.

Quakertown coach Jon Gingrich:
–On the game: “Saucon Valley scored first in the fifth minute. Quakertown came back in the ninth minute goal from sophomore Maya James took a beautiful pass from sophomore Anna Gingrich and buried it in the right corner. Second goal in the 11th minute Maya James just kept her run going and took a long cross from sophomore Molly Kreischer and buried that in the back of the net. The third goal in the half at the 32nd minute was scored by a sophomore Brielle Bailey head ball off a corner kick with an assist from senior Jewel Renshaw.
“Goals scored in the second were for her hat trick in the 52nd minute when sophomore Maya James finished a beautiful cross from sophomore Shylee Williams. In the 55th minute, senior Jewel Renshaw took a drop pass from sophomore Shylee Williams and finished for the goal to make it 5-1
–Standout Players: “Sophomore Maya James had an incredible game for us. She scored three goals today and was just making great runs from the outside all day. Following up her runs, making great runs to the center and her ability to finish added on her stellar day.
“Senior holding mid Jewel Renshaw was an absolute beast for us in the center of the field. She controlled the center of the field for us. She worked great with her holding mid partner, junior Brynn Gillian, in neutralizing Saucon’s attack. She also added a goal and assist on the day.
“My third standout for the game was the team. We are really coming together as team. Girls are stepping up when injuries happen, and we are not losing the level of play we need to be consistent. From our goalie to our defense to our midfield and our strikers and our bench. The girls are really playing as a team, and we hope to just get stronger and stronger as season goes on.”
Up next: Quakertown will travel to North Penn for a non-league crossover game on Wednesday.
