Council Rock South 5, Bensalem 0
After making up for lost time in their schedule last week, the Golden Hawks knew they’d need some backup to close out the first half of division play.
CR South leaned on its depth and got a boost from a couple early goals as the attack got back on track after Saturday’s scoreless draw with rival CR North. Senior Ruby Bross was the early spark, giving the Hawks an early lead off her foot then setting up the second to make it a two-goal game at half.
The Hawks stayed in form after halftime, adding three more goals and using a stout defensive effort to secure the three points in the standings.
Having just come off a matchup with their crosstown rival, CR South will meet CR North again on Thursday with the teams currently tied for the lead atop the division table.
Scoring Summary
1st Half
CRS – Ruby Bross (Brooke Pavlow)
CRS – Guilianna Conetta (Ruby Bross)
2nd half
CRS – Lylah Day (Riley O’Halloran)
CRS – Lylah Day
CRS – Eden Orlando (Lorelei Hanratty, Sophia Smith)
CR South coach Nick Heim: “Having played four games last week, we were hoping to be able to use some depth today to our advantage. We opened strong scoring in the early minutes on a goal from Ruby Bross on a pass from Brooke Pavlow. We were able to extend the lead shortly after when Bross found Guilianna Conetta, who beat the goalie and slid it home. We headed into the break up 2-0.”
Second half carryover: “At half we stressed continuing to execute on offense and got a Lylah Day brace in the first seven minutes, the first on an assist from Riley O’Halloran, that opened the game up. We were able to continue to generate chances, and it paid off when a Lorelei Hanratty to Sophia Smith connection led to an Eden Orlando goal.”
Standouts: “Maddie Hyams and Anna Renshall combined for the shutout in front of a solid defensive effort. I thought Carly Conetta and Abby Heimer were solid in the back for us today, matching physicality and getting us moving forward. We head to North Thursday night, only five days after our last matchup with them.”

Neshaminy 6, Harry S Truman 0
The grind of the season has left Neshaminy a bit banged up, but the team got a lift from its depth in Tuesday’s win over the Tigers.
Neshaminy was able to spread out its scoring with six different players finding the back of the net and getting an assist on each of its scores. An early goal helped set the pace, but it still took some contributions from everyone who got into the match to put away a Tigers squad that always plays out all 80 minutes.
Truman junior goalkeeper Dani Gilbert put on a dazzling performance, making 20 saves including several highlight-worthy denials while facing a barrage of headers and set pieces.
Scoring Summary
1st Half
N – Celia Horton (Leah Kaczmarek)
N – Genavieve Dozier (Brinley Buretta)
N – Chloe Mougeotte
2nd half
N – Emma Harrison (Lily Kaczmarek)
N – Brooke Bocolo (Maria Mitchell)
N – Gabby Adams (Brooke Bocolo)
Neshaminy coach Josh Van Reed: “I was happy to get everyone involved today. Hats off to Truman, who has been improving and making things difficult at times. We’ve been dealing with some injuries lately, so it was nice to get a win and have the rest of the week off.”
Truman coach Brian GIlbert: “We’ve been aiming to come out stronger and keep it closer in the first half. After conceding a goal in the first four minutes, Truman tightened up on defense but again seemed to run out of steam giving up a few late goals to go down 3-0 at the half.”

Gilbert stars in goal: “The score margin may have been a lot wider if it weren’t for the goaltending by junior Dani Gilbert, who made several sprawling saves. On one play in particular, the Neshaminy forward got around a defender and came in along the endline to the left of the keeper. There was another Neshaminy attacker at the far right post and somehow Gilbert made it post to post, diving to get her fingertips on the shot and redirect it wide. Gilbert made 20 saves on the day.”
Tigers props: “The Tigers also saw a lot of promising plays out of defenders Natalie Klimowicz and Harley Palenick. On one play, the ball was in the air, destined to be a goal, however Klimowicz hustled back and was able to volley the ball out of the air and clear it out of harm’s way. Not long after, Palencik made a similar play, backing up the keeper who came out to challenge and swooped in to clear the ball off of the goal-line.”
Props to Neshaminy: “A lot of credit goes to the Neshaminy forwards. They really did a nice job on their set pieces, being aggressive going up and winning a lot of balls out of the air. I believe two of the first few goals came off of corner kicks. That may have been the most header shots we’ve faced this season.”
NESHAMINY 3 3 – 6

Council Rock North 3, Pennsbury 0
Council Rock North’s veteran attackers helped get the offense back on track after Saturday’s draw with rival CR South.
Senior Isabel Diaz, a Dickinson College commit, led the way with a brace in a three-goal first half for the Indians. Junior Sarina Igval continued to stand out as a facilitator, assisting the team’s second and third goals with a gem of a cross finding Darcy McCullough for the first insurance tally.
CR North turns around quickly for another rivalry showdown with CR South on Thursday between the Patriot division’s co-leaders.
Scoring Summary
1st half
CRN – Isabel Diaz 15:21
CRN – Darcy McCullough (Sarina Igval) 6:06
CRN – Isabel Diaz (Sarina Igval) 4:38
2nd Half
No Scoring
CR North coach Gavin Flanningan: “I thought we were really dangerous in transition today and our goals reflected that. At our last practice, we emphasized some attacking points and it was great to see the girls execute in those moments . All of our goals were well taken, but Darcy’s header from Sarina’s cross was especially nice. In the second half, Pennsbury got a little direct as they chased the game, credit to our group for defending well and really committing to ensuring we didn’t concede.”

William Tennent 4, Lower Moreland 1
The Panthers put a little chaos into the SOL Freedom table at the midpoint of division play.
William Tennent handed previously undefeated Lower Moreland its first loss of the fall and in the process creating a three-way tie atop the standings. Tuesday, it was senior Grace Bochnak leading the charge with a second half hat-trick to power Tennent to its seat at the top of the table. She got plenty of help from her fellow seniors, with Leila Santos assisting twice and Lia Jablonowski posting the helper on the other goal.
Just as important was the Panthers’ defensive efforts to slow a Lions attack that had scored multiple goals in each of its last six games.
Scoring Summary
1st Half
WT – Kaitlyn D’Ambra 9:25
2nd half
WT – Grace Bochnak (Leila Santos) 29:02
WT – Grace Bochnak (Leila Santos) 21:44
WT – Grace Bochnak (Lia Jablonowski) 10:49
LM – Arlee Kerrigan (Carly Moshinski)
William Tennent coach Elise Jara: “It’s always a competitive game when we face Lower Moreland, and today was no exception. We played a complete 80 minutes today, and every player that stepped onto the field played a part in this win. Our back line of Sami Roby, Mia Rahn, Margo Vant Hoenderdaal and Rian Gilligan shut down any offensive momentum they had and transitioned the play effortlessly. Grace Bochnak had a great game recording a hat trick and Alena Beer and Leila Santos were relentless working the ball on the outside.”
Lower Moreland coach Todd Hill: “We lost to a really talented Tennent team today. They kept us on our heels throughout. It is a fun battle in our Freedom Division. Like every other year, it will come down to how things shake out in the second half of the season. Looking forward to the challenge. I am proud of my girls today. They worked really hard. Our bench was shortened due to a number of injuries, and our girls had to continue to battle. Our goal came from a really nice pass from junior Gabbie Sellecchia who found the feet of freshman attacker Arlee Kerrigan who had a beautiful left footed shot into the top corner of the goal.”
WILLIAM TENNENT 1 3 – 4
LOWER MORELAND 0 1 -1
Springfield Twp. 5, Upper Moreland 0
The Spartans kept pace in what’s become a compelling SOL Freedom divisional race.
Ava Brinch starred as a playmaker for Springfield Twp, assisting three goals while Liz Hanushchak provided the helper on the other scores. Karter Brady scored twice to lead a balanced effort, which also got a highlight from senior Siena Karn who scored the first varsity goal of her career.
Defensively, goalkeeper Olivia Gatewood and the back line posted their sixth shutout of the fall.
Scoring Summary

ST – Karter Brady (Liz Hanushchak)
ST – Siena Karn (Liz Hanushchak)
Goalkeeper Saves:
UM – Madison Moore, 8
ST – Olivia Gatewood, 4
Springfield Twp coach Chris Tomarelli: “I was especially happy to see Siena get on the scoresheet. She shows up every day with a smile on her face, works hard, and never complains. She represents exactly what we talk about when we say sacrifice for the team.”
Defensive anchors: “Olivia Gatewood continues to be outstanding in net, playing with a calmness and confidence about her that gives our team a lot of belief. June Kirk has been our defensive anchor and has been rock solid all season. Their leadership and consistency have been a big part of our success.”
Team contributions: “Our word this year has been sacrifice. Our girls are being asked to play different roles than they have in years past, with the main focus always being on competing and doing whatever is needed for the team. Through 10 games, all 20 players have seen time in eight games. We now sit at 8-1-1 with six shutouts through 10 games.
Midway point: “The season is a grind, and we know there is still a lot of soccer ahead of us. Our focus now turns to the final eight games as we continue to compete, improve and prepare for the District 1 2A playoffs.”
Upper Moreland coach Lisa Benvenuto: “Springfield is a strong, physical team, and we knew coming into today that we had to match their intensity. The first half was evenly played, with both teams generating six shots on goal. We created several dangerous opportunities but just couldn’t find the back of the net. Keiley Hawk, Madeline Cox, and Julie Albert anchored us with great play in the middle of the field. While the result wasn’t what we wanted, we’ll learn from this game and keep moving forward. I’m incredibly proud of the effort and fight this team brings to the field every single day.”

Central Bucks East 4, Central Bucks West 0
CB East held Mental Health Awareness Night on Tuesday, honoring the memory of Sam Hanson and Frankie Pacitti and aiming to encourage conversation and support of mental health.
With touches of purple and teal accenting their home uniforms, the Patriots got off to a fast start in their first matchup with the Bucks and used a productive night from Taylor Roumy to make it eight straight wins. Roumy, who is bound for Richmond along with her twin sister Ella, assisted Kiera Sleicher’s opener before adding two goals of her own to help keep East undefeated in the league table.
CB East, which has a one-game lead in the standings, heads into a pivotal matchup with second place Souderton on Thursday to start the second half of divisional play.
Scoring Summary
1st Half
CBE Kiera Sleicher (Taylor Roumy) 4th
CBE Taylor Roumy (unassisted) 23rd
CBE Liz Mooney (Quinn Reilley) 34th
2nd Half
CBE Taylor Roumy (Addie Langlois) 43rd
CB East coach Jake Nesteruk: “I thought this was a really solid team win across the board. We attacked well early in the first half and thought what Addie, Kiera, and Taylor had going was really threatening. We found a good rhythm to us and chose our moments to get forward well. Thrilled for Liz Mooney to get her first of the year – she is incredibly deserving with how hard she works and the strides she’s made going into this season. This felt like a true program win and proud of our group for what they put into this one. Eyes forward to a tough match against Souderton.”
CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 3 1 – 4
CENTRAL BUCKS WEST 0 0 – 0
Central Bucks South 2, Pennridge 1
The Titans and Rams both came into Tuesday’s matchup needing to get back on track.
Both squads went 0-2 in conference play last week, so there was plenty to play for on each side of the touchline at the opening tap. After 40 competitive minutes ended scoreless, the host Rams pounced to a second half lead behind senior G Howley and tasked the Titans to respond.
CB South got the answer it hoped to, as Khloe Montini rallied to score twice after falling behind to deliver the Titans a much-needed victory and a big one for their seniors as it was their first time defeating Pennridge in their careers.

CBS – Khloe Montini
CBS – Khloe Montini
CB South coach Dana Cole: “Khloe Montini was on fire tonight with her speed and determination to score and get us out of our funk. She told me before the game she had a feeling she would score and that she did. She broke through twice and put the ball in the back of the net to give us the win.”
Plenty of standouts: “Our whole team came out with confidence and wanted to win. Our center midfield rotation included Maddie Roe, Lucy Keane, Kate Walsh, Emily Franklin. They kept the ball moving and worked to win every ball while supporting one another. Olivia Creswick, Ali Tait, and GiGi Artman ran the outside midfield continuously making offensive runs and getting back on defense.”
Props to defense: “Our defense made up of Ella Parish, Peyton Karpinski, Tenley Rogers and Addi McKeon played like workhorses controlling the back and supporting each other to put a stop to any dangerous offensive runs. In goal, Morgan Sowash shut out Pennridge in the first half and Sienna Carone secured the win in the second half. Pennridge put up a good fight, but lucky for us we came out on top.”
CENTRAL BUCKS SOUTH 0 2 – 2
PENNRIDGE 0 1 – 1
Souderton 3, North Penn 0
Souderton has shown it can come back in matches, but Big Red has been trying to impose itself a little more earlier on.
Thanks to an early goal by senior captain Hannah Beckett, Souderton was able to do that against a fast and physical North Penn team that was coming off a productive week of results. Beckett, a Providence recruit, would add a second goal late in the second half for some much needed insurance before Kylie Cummings sealed the deal in the final minutes, both goals coming from Aidia Manners assists.
The win made it three straight victories for Big Red and four consecutive victories in the division, where Souderton sits second behind leader CB East heading into their rematch on Thursday.
Scoring Summary
1st Half
Souderton-Hannah Beckett (Lily Heron) 34:23
2nd Half
Souderton- Hannah Beckett (Aidia Manners) 11:20
Souderton-Kylie Cummings (Aidia Manners) 5:14
Souderton coach Melissa Lollar: “North Penn was a physical team that challenged us with their speed up top, but I felt that our defensive line and goalkeeper Cam Lobel stepped up to the challenge all game. We were winning the midfield and distributing well and just creating a lot of chances in our attacking third. Jules Purvy got herself very involved in space which created many chances for us throughout the game.”
Scorers connect well: “Hannah Beckett had a strong finish off of Lily Heron’s selfless pass in the box. We were able to win 50/50 balls in the box which helped us with our goals from Hannah Beckett and Kylie Cummings from Aidia Manners’ set pieces.”

SOL Liberty Division
Upper Dublin 3, Hatboro-Horsham 0
The red birds are rolling.
After falling to Plymouth Whitemarsh on Sept. 8, the Cardinals have won five straight games – three of them SOL Liberty contests – and sit at the top of the table midway through the season. Tuesday’s match was still a battle, the Hatters making UD work hard for every opportunity. It took a big game from Brooke Smith to help the Cardinals keep their hot streak going, her assist to Bridget DiMartile providing the breakthrough in the first half before she closed out the win with a second half brace.
UD turns around quickly to start the second half of division play with a matchup against Quakertown on Thursday.
Scoring Summary
1st Half
UD – Bridget DiMartile (Brooke Smith) 24th
2nd half
UD – Brooke Smith (Maya Schulz) 43rd
UD – Brooke Smith 67th
Upper Dublin coach Darius Gbunblee: “Coming off a short break, I expected us to have a little rust, and I think that showed in the first half. Hatboro-Horsham came out very aggressive, and the elements made things even more difficult for both teams. Once we settled in and started playing with more confidence, we were able to open things up in the second half. Bridget DiMartile came through with a great goal to give us the breakthrough we needed.”
Takeaways: “Overall, I thought it was a great team effort. The girls battled through the difficult conditions, stayed composed, and continued to work for each other throughout the game. Very proud of the entire team.”

Quakertown 4, Wissahickon 0
Playing under the lights on a dreary Tuesday, Quakertown followed the lead of Mya James and a host of contributors to get back in the win column.
James, who has been authoring an excellent junior season, scored the game’s first goal in the opening minutes to kickstart the Panthers to a three-goal half. James added an assist in the first half and sealed the win with a terrific free kick goal in the second half.
It was far from a one-player show however, as the Panthers midfield and backline excelled at keeping a potent Wissahickon attack in check and the team’s reserves maintained a high level of energy.
Scoring Summary
1st Half
Q – Mya James (Molly Kreischer)
Q – Shylee Williams (Mya James)
Q – Lacey Garner
2nd half
Q – Mya James
Quakertown coach Jon Gingrich: “I was really happy with the energy we brought tonight as a team. From our bench to our starters, our energy was super high.”
Scoring rundown: “In the sixth minute, junior Mya James took a nice through ball pass from junior Molly Kreischer and fired one past the Wiss keeper from her left foot. In the 28th minute, junior Shylee Williams headed in a beautiful cross from junior Mya James. In the 30th minute, sophomore Lacey Garner fired in a direct free kick, and in the 45th minute, junior Mya James got fouled right outside the box and fired a ball past the keeper from a direct free kick.”
James delivers again: “Mya James had a great night for us offensively. We needed Mya James shooting tonight, and she answered with two goals and assisted on one goal.”
Defense holds firm: “Junior holding mid Anna Gingrich was a beast for us in the center of the field. She was super disruptive to the Wiss offense, and she covered a lot of ground all night. Our entire back line defense was outstanding tonight: Sophomore Brook Bailey, junior Brielle Bailey, sophomore Lacey Garner and sophomore Alexa Reich were a huge reason we were able to shutout the Wiss offense playing in front of junior goalkeeper Lily Remick. They are really playing like a solid unit and a big reason for our success tonight.”
Props: “A couple of other shout outs: junior Shylee Williams, junior Molly Kreischer, junior Ellie Stanziola and junior Emily Marzinkie played huge roles for us tonight and they also were a big reason for our success tonight.”
QUAKERTOWN 3 1 – 4

Draws, especially scoreless draws, can be a deceiving final score.
Tuesday night’s tilt between the Ghosts and Colonials was evidence of that, despite no score between them, both teams played at a high level under the lights. The weather may not have been ideal, but both squads put forth an admirable effort and it seemed fair that both were able to tack a point next to their season total in the standings.

PW coach TJ DeLucia: “Outstanding high school soccer game tonight from PW and Abington under the lights. Both teams gave maximum effort. We asked for more from some of our players at halftime and they really responded. We were very good in the second half but just couldn’t find the back of the net.”
Abington coach Rick Tompkins: “Freshman goalkeeper Sam Waterfall recorded the shutout for Abington. Emma Regan and Nora Luskin spearheaded the Ghost defense and were ably assisted by Mia Sarro, Mary Wilson, Kai Orner and Mairead McMakin.”
