CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 73, ABINGTON 33
Four East players had 13 points or more in Monday’s non-league crossover win. Natalie Berndt jumpstarted the Patriots with nine points on three 3s in the first quarter, propelling East to an 18-7 lead. At halftime, the Patriots led 38-21 on their way to the win. Jess Lockwood’s 11 points led the Patriots in the half, Haley Moran had 12 points, and Berndt added 11.
The Patriots once again shared the basket, assisting on 20 baskets.
Key players: Jess Lockwood led the Patriots with 19 points (two 3-pointers), seven rebounds, four steals and seven assists. Natalie Berndt added 16 points, which included four 3-pointers, and Haley Moran contributed 14 points (two 3-pointers). Payton Wiliams finished with 13 points, five rebounds and three steals.

–The game: “It was a nice team win on both ends of the floor. Aniyah Williams for Abington is a very talented player, and Payton Williams had the tough assignment of playing her tonight. She did a great job and had tremendous help around her.
“Nat Berndt hit three 3s in the first quarter, and then Jess Lockwood had a big night with 19 points, seven rebounds, seven assists and four steals. The team had 20 assists on the night, playing really unselfish basketball.”
–A special night: “We were excited to honor CB teachers this evening at our annual Teacher Appreciation Night. We value all that they do for our student athletes in the classroom and love having a night to celebrate them.”
Up next: Central Bucks East will host Upper Dublin in an SOL non-league crossover game on Friday, and Abington will travel to Neshaminy for a non-league crossover game Tuesday.

COUNCIL ROCK SOUTH 57, SPRINGFIELD TWP 41
The Golden Hawks, who led 12-10 after one quarter, took a 28-20 lead into halftime. Emerson Gunther’s 11 points led the Hawks in the half.
A 20-point third quarter by the Hawks all but put the game out of reach.
Key players: Emerson Gunther’s 15 points led a balanced Rock South attack. Ruby Bross added 12 points, Bella Hettler had 11 points and Gillian Martin scored 10.
For the Spartans, Ava Culler made her presence felt, scoring a game-high 24 points.
Council Rock South coach Steve Polinsky:
–The game: “Overall, we played a very good team game. We had four players for the first time scoring double figures.
“We had great ball movement, and Ruby Bross is doing a great job setting up her teammates. Emerson Gunther scored 15 points and has been a double figure scorer all season long. Bella Hettler added 11 pts and Gillian Martin scored 10 points.”
Props: “The Springfield coach has done a great job building that program. I have known Dave (Giordano) for years, and they play the right way. Ava Culler is a fantastic player with a high motor.”
