In the fourth. Olivia Turchi led off with a single, stole second and scored when Laura Chorba singled to center. Zoe Shimp and Walker (RBI) also singled in the frame, and the Redskins led 6-0. They added two more runs in the bottom of the sixth for the 8-0 final.

COUNCIL ROCK SOUTH 1, SOUDERTON 0
Lexi Waring tossed a six-hit complete game gem, striking out 10 and walking just two in the shutout. It took the freshman’s masterpiece to defeat Souderton ace Abby Burns, who allowed only two bunt singles. She struck out 12 and walked only one.”
“Lexi Waring was absolutely brilliant,” coach Dan Schram said. “Abby Burns pitched an excellent game.”
The Golden Hawks scored the game’s only run in the bottom of the second. They did it without hitting a ball out of the infield. Ameerah Wheet legged out a bunt single to open the inning and advanced to third on a Souderton miscue. She scored on Avery Tumolo’s sacrifice bunt, spotting the Hawks a 1-0 lead that held the rest of the way.
“Ameerah Wheet made some great plays in center field and scored the winning run on the squeeze play,” Schram said. “She is showing great leadership for our team. Proud of her and proud of all the kids.”
The Indians threatened in the top of the sixth when Riley York ripped a two-out triple to center and Kendell Clemmer drew a walk. Waring ended that threat with a groundout to third base.
The 3:45 p.m. scheduled start time at Rock South went out the window when there was an unexpected rain shower. The game started at 5:15.
“It was a total team effort, which also included two hours of fieldwork to try and get the field ready for a game that ended around 6:50,” Schram said. “Special thanks to the Souderton coaches and players for patiently allowing us to get this game in. They are a classy group and will make a lot of noise in the playoffs as they always do.”
Council Rock South (9-7, 7-6 SOL) will travel to Villa Joseph Marie for a non-league game Monday, and Souderton (10-7, 7-7) will travel to Central Bucks West on Tuesday.

ABINGTON 1, MOUNT ST. JOSEPH 0
The Ghosts celebrated the team’s three seniors with a shutout win in Friday’s non-league contest.
“It was a great celebration of our seniors – Ashley Reilly, Sydney Steiner and Aneesa Rohrer – on Senior Night,” Abington coach Bob Baginski said. “Our team is so proud of them, and we were glad to get a win on Senior Night.”
Sam Wenhold made sure the seniors would have reason to celebrate. The freshman hurler tossed a complete game one-hit shutout, striking out six and walking a pair to lead the Ghosts to the impressive win.
“Sam Wenhold again did a masterful job of hitting her spots and keeping the batters off their game,” Baginski said.
The Ghosts managed just two hits, but one – Leanna Schenk’s booming RBI triple to right field – was a timely one. It came with two outs in the bottom of the first after Steiner was safe on an error. That 1-0 lead stood the rest of the way.
Mackenzie Feeney accounted for the Ghosts other hit.
Abington (10-8, 8-7 SOL) will travel to Merion Mercy for a non-league game on Monday.
