MEN’S BASKETBALL
Sophomore guard Jimmy Murray (Plymouth Whitemarsh) scored with less than a second left to force overtime, and Moravian netted the final nine points in the second overtime to post a 99-97 double overtime victory over Juniata College on Saturday. Murray finished with 10 points and a pair of steals. In Wednesday’s 78-64 win at Scranton, Murray contributed 10 points, four assists and two rebounds.
Jordan Reed (Wissahickon) scored 10 points in Tennessee State’s 86-79 loss to Jacksonville State on Saturday.
Lock Haven redshirt freshman Amir Hinton (Abington) was named the PSAC Eastern Division Freshman of
the Week for the week ending Jan. 15. Hinton helped lead LHU to a 2-1 record, averaging 21.3 points, eight rebounds, three assists and three steals while shooting 58 percent from the field in the three games. In a win over Millersville, Hinton played all 40 minutes, scoring 19 points while hauling down nine rebounds. He followed that up by tying his then season-high in points (27) in a win over Cheyney. Hinton went 9-for-9 from the charity stripe while shooting 73 percent from the field. He also dished out six assists. In a tough game against Shippensburg, Hinton had a double-double with 18 points and 12 rebounds. He leads the PSAC in points per game with 22.2. This was Hinton’s second consecutive PSAC Freshman of the Week honor and fourth of the season.
Hinton scored a career-high 30 points in Lock Haven’s 88-83 win over West Chester on Saturday. He was 9-of-14 from the field and 3-of-5 from three-point range on the way to his first career 30-point game. He also had seven rebounds. In Wednesday’s 89-82 loss at Mansfield, Hinton had 28 points, six assists and two steals.
Senior Ryan Charity (Pennsbury) contributed 12 points, five rebounds, three assists and three steals in Cabrini’s 85-67 win over Marywood on Saturday. In Wednesday’s 74-65 win at Cairn University, Charity contributed 12 points off the bench.
Freshman Tracy Simsick (Souderton) scored 11 points in DeSales University’s 78-74 loss to Wilkes University on Wednesday.
Will Derr (Upper Dublin) scored eight points in Arcadia’s 79-67 win over Stevenson on Saturday. In last Sunday’s 69-67 loss to Lycoming, Evan Slone (Souderton) contributed 12 points and seven rebounds.
Anthony Lee (Abington) scored 17 points on 6-of-10 shooting – including 3-of-5 from three-point range – in No. 13 Kuztown’s 81-67 win over Millersville on Saturday afternoon. He also added four rebounds and had multiple steals for the 10th time in 11 games. Ryan Connolly (Souderton) approached a double-double with
nine points and a season-high eight rebounds while adding two assists and two steals. In Wednesday’s 98-92 win over Bloomsburg, Connolly moved into second place in the KU record book with his 195th career three-pointer. Coming off a season-high 25 points, Connolly poured in 21 points on 7-of-13 shooting from the field. It is the first time in the redshirt senior’s career that he scored 20-plus in back-to-back games. To make the performance even more impressive, he had a career-high seven assists as well as five rebounds. Lee connected on 9-of-13 from the field, 3-of-4 from 3-point range and 3-of-3 from the line en route to a season and team-high 24 points. It was his fourth 20-plus point game in seven contests. He also had four rebounds, four assists, two steals and a block. Freshman Max Wagner (Pennridge) tallied a career-high by grabbing 11 rebounds with two blocks and eight points to miss his first career double-double by two points.
Matt Penecale (Abington) contributed eight points, six assists and five rebounds in West Chester’s 88-83 loss to Lock Haven on Saturday.
Tom Townsend (Council Rock South) scored seven points in Millersville’s 81-67 loss to Kutztown on Saturday.
Josh McWilliams (Council Rock North) scored 18 of his game-high 21 points after halftime in McDaniel’s 74-71 victory over Ursinus College on Saturday. In Wednesday’s 71-54 loss to Gettysburg, McWilliams scored a career-high 30 points.
Junior Zach Quattro (Hatboro-Horsham) recorded a double-double with 16 points and 12 rebounds in Ursinus College’s 74-71 loss at McDaniel on Saturday. In Wednesday’s 99-97 triple overtime win over Muhlenberg, Quattro had 21 points, including two pressure-packed free throws with 1.2 seconds remaining in the second overtime.
Freshman John Ryan (Wiliam Tennent) contributed 31 points and seven rebounds in Cairn University’s 84-79 loss to Penn State Abington on Saturday. In Wednesday’s 82-70 win over Penn College, Ryan put up a career-high 34 points, which tied for fourth in a single game in program history.
Kevin Ashenfelter (Plymouth Whitemarsh) scored five points in Gwynedd Mercy’s 84-72 win over Centenary on Saturday. In Wednesday’s 91-84 win over Immaculata, Arron Goodman (Council Rock North) recorded a double-double with 17 points and 11 rebounds.
WOMEN’S BASKETBALL
Sophomore Nicole Munger (Central Bucks West) scored 18 points off the bench in Michigan’s 84-51 win over Minnesota on Sunday. The CB West graduate connected on 6-of-9 shots from the floor – which included a 4-for-6 showing from beyond the arc. She also had three rebounds in 20 minutes of action.
Freshman Jordan Vitelli (Central Bucks South) scored 13 points off the bench in University of the Sciences 75-67 loss to Wilmington University on Tuesday. In Monday’s 67-60 loss to Queens College, Vitelli contributed nine points, one rebound and one assist.
Freshman Sammy Lochner (Abington) recorded six assists in Saint Peter’s 56-43 loss to Rider on Thursday.
Freshman Cassidy Quattro (Hatboro-Horsham) contributed eight points and five rebounds in Washington College’s 76-68 loss to Gettysburg on Saturday. In Wednesday’s 62-61 loss to Johns Hopkins, Quattro had a team-high eight rebounds to go along with four assists and eight points.
Senior Lauren Crisler (North Penn) contributed 16 points in American University’s 61-60 loss to Holy Cross on Sunday. In Thursday’s 76-52 win over Lafayette, Crisler had 14 points.
Sophomore Taylor Thames (North Penn) scored 11 points – her third double-digit scoring effort in the last four games – in Kutztown University’s 68-66 loss to Bloomsburg on Wednesday.
Junior Kaitlin Kelly (Pennsbury) contributed eight points off the bench – which included the 100th three of her career – in DeSales University’s 78-50 win over Wilkes University on Wednesday. She is just the seventh player in team history to make 100 threes in a career. In Monday’s 63-61 loss at Muhlenberg, Kelly contributed nine points.
Albright junior Alysha Lofton (Central Bucks South) was named the MAC Commonwealth Player of the
Week as well as the ECAC Division III South Player of the Week for the week ending Jan. 15. Lofton led the Lions to a 2-1 week, including a road win over previously unbeaten No. 22 Messiah. She scored a career and game-high 31 points on 11-of-15 shooting (73 percent) against the Falcons. She also had seven rebounds, four assists and was a perfect 9-for-9 at the foul line. Lofton recorded a double-double with 17 points, 15 rebounds, five assists, five blocks and three steals in a 63-50 win over Lycoming. She finished the week shooting 60 percent (21-of-35) from the field while averaging 17.7 points, 9.7 rebounds and four assists.
Lofton contributed 10 points and 12 rebounds in Albright’s 69-45 win over Widener on Saturday. It was her eighth double-double of the season and third in her last four outings. In Wednesday’s 74-60 win over Alvernia, Lofton totaled 14 points and 11 rebounds.
Stephanie Knauer (North Penn) moved into Shippensburg’s all-time Top 10 in scoring in the Raiders’ 69-56 road win at Cheyney on Saturday. She scored 13 points on 5-of-9 shooting with four rebounds and two assists. She also went over 1,500 points and is at 1,501 for her career through the end of the weekend. In Wednesday’s 79-65 win over East Stroudsburg, Knauer had eight points, seven rebounds and four assists.
Senior guard Rachel Falkowski (Central Bucks South) contributed 11 points on 5-of-9 shooting in East Stroudsburg’s 75-55 win at Bloomsburg on Saturday. In Wednesday’s 79-65 loss at Shippensburg, Falkowski had a season-high 12 points in 32 minutes. Senior guard Courtney Brown (Councill Rock South) was credited with a pair of steals.
Freshman Lydia Konstanzer (Pennridge) had eight points and five rebounds in Ursinus College’s 42-34 loss to McDaniel on Saturday. In Wednesday’s 71-46 win over Bryn Mawr, Konstanzer finished with eight points and seven rebounds while freshman Krista Schneider (Souderton) netted a career-high seven points.
Aigner Bookard (Cheltenham) scored 16 points in Cairn University’s 73-55 loss to Cabrini on Wednesday.
Junior Alison Gallagher (Souderton) contributed a double-double with 10 points and 12 rebounds in Widener’s 69-45 loss to Albright on Saturday. Freshman Devan Rimmer (Pennridge) netted nine points. In Wednesday’s 78-49 win over Arcadia, Rimmer fell just short of a double-double with 17 points and nine rebounds. She also contributed three assists and two steals. Gallagher added 12 points.
Vicky Tumasz (North Penn) finished with 17 points off the bench – which included four three-pointers – in Chestnut Hill’s 85-78 win over Holy family on Tuesday night. It was her ninth effort of 10 points or more as a reserve. She also had five rebounds and three steals. Tumasz was 4-of-7 from beyond the arc.
MEN’S SWIMMING & DIVING
Freshman Mark Preedy (William Tennent) finished second in the 200 breaststroke (2:18.25) and third in the 100 breaststroke (1:02.12) in Arcadia’s 135-127 loss to Widener on Saturday. He also was part of the second place 200 free relay (1:29.89). Sophomore Jacob Schellinger (North Penn) finished second in the 100 butterfly (54:03) and third in the 200 fly (2:04.09). He was part of the third place 200 medley relay (1:46.18) and second place 200 free relay (1:29.89).
Freshman Ogden Leyens (Upper Dublin) had a pair of individual wins in No. 20 Gettysburg’s 140-122 win over Mary Washington on Saturday. The Upper Dublin graduate prevailed in the 200 freestyle (1:44.79) and 500 freestyle (4:44.36). He also was part of the winning 200 free relay (1:26.91).
Freshman Devon Polak (Upper Dublin) finished third in the 100 freestyle with a time of 49.24 in Bloomsburg’s 125-72 win over Susquehanna University on Friday. Senior Bobby Lenahan (Hatboro-Horsham) posted a PSAC qualifying time in the 100 breaststroke while swimming the race in exhibition.
WOMEN’S SWIMMING & DIVING
Senior Megan Obarowski (Council Rock South) placed second in the 200 butterfly with a time of 2:19.06 in Arcadia’s 145.5-116.5 win over Widener on Saturday. She also was part of the third place 200 medley relay (1:59.12). Freshman Rachel Samson (Council Rock North) was third in the 200 free with a time of 2:02.22. She also was part of the winning 200 medley relay with a time of 1:50.55 and the second place 200 free relay (1:43.35).
Junior Tommie Dillione (Council Rock North) won both the 100 free (51.27) and 200 free (1:49.37) in Penn State’s 199-99 win over Navy on Saturday.
Sophomore Olivia DiStefano (North Penn) finished third in the 100 backstroke with a time of 58.67 in La Salle’s tri-meet with Fordham (100-109) and Richmond (89-210). In the diving events, Sydney Szopo (Upper Moreland) finished fifth in both the 1-meter and 3-meter dives. In Monday’s 176-121 loss to George Mason, DiStefano won the 100 back with a final time of 58.64. Szopo finished second in the 3-meter diving event with a score of 228.53.
Sophomore Lauren Griffith (Central Bucks East) was part of the winning 200 freestyle relay that posted a time of 1:40.56 in Widener’s 143.5-116.5 loss to Arcadia on Saturday.
Bridget Perdoch (Pennsbury) won a pair of events in Kutztown’s 132-130 loss to Millersville in a dual meet on Saturday. The Pennsbury graduate finished first in both the 100 breaststroke (1:12.43) and 200 breast (2:36.17). Her time in the 200 breast was a PSAC existing time. She was part of the second place 400 medley relay (4:12.02) and finished fifth in the 200 individual medley (2:28.07). Aimee Watkins (Hatboro-Horsham) was third in the 1000 freestyle (12:13.86) and fourth in the 500 free (5:58.73). Caitlyn Falguera (Hatboro-Horsham) was fifth in both the 100 backstroke (1:12.38) and the 200 back (2:33.59).
Freshman Deanna Shuster (Pennsbury) finished second in the 200 butterfly with a time of 2:26.06 in Bloomsburg’s 124-74 win at East Stroudsburg on Saturday. In Friday’s 115-87 win over Susquehanna, sophomore Lina Brouse (Upper Dublin) finished fourth in the 200 individual medley.

Pitt senior Chris Spadaro (Council Rock South) finished first in the triple jump with a leap of 14.61 meters at the YSU College Invitational on Friday.
Shippensburg junior Alex Balla (Quakertown) finished fifth in the 3K with a time of 8:58.05.
Widener senior Alex Cucciare (Souderton) finished fourth in the shot put with a throw of 44-4.75 at the Ursinus College Collegeville Classic on Saturday.
Kutztown junior Brandon Raguz (Central Bucks South) earned his first career PSAC Field Athlete of the Week Award for the week ending Jan. 15 for his performance at the Golden Bear Invitational. Raguz moved into seventh place in program history in the pole vault. Having already set an NCAA provisional and PSAC mark (15-9.00) to move into eighth place in the program annals in KU’s first event of the season in December, Raguz was even better in his home venue as he cleared a new career-best height of 4.85m (15-11.00) to win the event.
Kutztown junior Jhaloni Johnson (Springfield) ran the fifth fastest 400m in program history and set a PSAC mark in the 200m at the NYC Gotham Cup on Friday. Having already qualified for the PSAC Championships in the 400m, Johnson crossed in a career-best 49.39 to place eighth in a deep field of 114. He then ran the 200m in 22.47 to set a PSAC mark in his first race in the event of the season. Raguz not only set an existing PSAC mark in the pole vault, he once again set an NCAA provisional by clearing 15-9 en route to winning the event for a second consecutive weekend. Anthony Bullaro (Pennsbury) ran the 60m hurdles in a PSAC qualifying time of 8.68 to finish 12th. Obi Ogbonna (Harry S Truman) was 34th in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.51.
WOMEN’S TRACK & FIELD
Brianna Stratz (Central Bucks South) was a member of Monmouth’s 4×800 relay team that turned in an ECAC qualifying time of 9:06.91 while finishing first at the NYC Gotham Cup on Saturday. Allison Taub (Council Rock South) finished sixth in the shot put (12.84m).
Ursinus senior Erin Farrell (Neshaminy) posted a time of 8.23 to finish fifth in the 60-meter dash at the Collegeville Classic on Saturday.
Kutztown sophomore Stephanie Bresadola (North Penn) finished seventh in the top heat in the mile at the NYC Gotham Cup on Friday night with a time of 5:15.29 – a new PSAC mark. Olivia Morano (Quakertown) finished 25th in the shot put with a throw of 32-11, and she was 26th in the weight throw (33-3.75).
MEN’S VOLLEYBALL
Senior Christian Lizana (Pennridge) had nine kills and two digs in Vassar College’s 3-1 loss to No. 9 Wentworth Institute of Technology on Saturday. In a 3-1 win over Wells College Saturday, Lizana had eight kills. In Friday’s 3-0 win over Lakeland, Lizana had a match high 14 kills, and in its win over Elms College, the Pennridge graduate contributed seven.
WRESTLING
Jesse Huber (Harry S Truman) won by a fall in 6:17 at 184 in York College’s 41-3 win over Johns Hopkins on Friday night. Dylan Nuttall (Harry S Truman) won by forfeit at 125.
Junior Philip Torresani (Hatboro-Horsham) earned a 5-3 decision at 125 in Elizabethtown’s 24-16 loss to Gettysburg on Friday. In Tuesday’s 38-12 loss to Shippensburg, Torressani notched a 3-1 decision.
Kutztown freshman Mikey O’Brien (North Penn) won a pair of matches at 141 at the Kutztown University Duals on Saturday, earning a 6-2 decision over Belmont Abbey’s Troy Gregor and notching a fall over American International’s Christian Echeevarria in 2:05. Jeff Reimel (North Penn) won matches at 184 and 197. He suited up at 197 versus Belmont Abbey and won a 10-0 major decision and also pinned AIC’s 184-pounder in 2:58 for 18th-ranked Kutztown. On Friday at the KU Duals, Reimel notched a 9-2 decision in KU’s 41-3 win over Minot State.
Freshman Bruce Graeber (Neshaminy) notched a 10-0 major decision at 285 to seal Bloomsburg’s 28-21 win over Sacred Heart on Sunday.
East Stroudsburg redshirt freshman Francesco Palagruto (Plymouth Whitemarsh) was undefeated at 133 on Friday at the Kutztown Duals, earning a win via fall (2:49) in ESU’s 22-18 loss to No. 16 Seton Hill and getting a win via forfeit in ESU’s 27-24 loss to Belmont Abbey.
