WILLIAM TENNENT 3, HARRY S TRUMAN 0
The Tigers celebrated Senior Night, but it was the Panthers coming away with the win.
"It was a great atmosphere with Truman celebrating their seniors," Tennent coach Nick D'Andrea said. "It was a lively crowd.
"I think the game was closer than the score indicates as Truman created and had several quality scoring chances."
Sean Zolk scored a pair of first-half goals to propel the Panthers to a 2-0 halftime lead. Both were assisted by Colin Hires. Sean Metz found the back of the net in the second half.
Freshman Pat Corley posted the shutout in goal.
The Panthers closed out the season strong, winning their last three games.
"It was great to have senior Matt D'Ambra back after suffering a concussion earlier in the season," D'Andrea said of his senior captain/central midfielder. "He is one of the best players in the area, which helped us win the last three games against great opponents.
"Seniors Jack Forbes and Max Schulze deserve a lot of credit for their leadership this year as they held everyone together and played just about every position for us. We matched last year's win total and will just miss out on the playoffs, but we made lifelong memories and showed great passion for the game of soccer."
William Tennent closed out its season with a 7-10 record (5-7 SOL), and Harry S Truman was 1-16 (0-12).

NESHAMINY 3, ACADEMY PARK 0
The visiting Redskins opened up a 3-0 halftime lead, and that score stood until the final whistle.
In the fifth minute, Christian Rodgers headed home a cross for a goal that turned out to be the game-winner. Six minutes later, Ramir Cofield found the back of the net.
“Cole Jackson served a low hard ball behind the Academy Park back line, and Ramir Cofield hammered it past the keeper,” coach Tom Foley said.
Tim McNamara connected on his first goal of the year when he headed a Matt Lamb cross past the keeper in the 16th minute.
“We spent most of the second half slipping and sliding in the Academy Park end but could not find the goal,” Foley said. “All of the guys played at least 20 minutes today and did well.”
Tyler Foxhill and Trevor Rush combined for the shutout in goal.
Neshaminy (9-7, 7-4 SOL) will host Pennsbury in Thursday’s regular season finale. The Falcons are 24th and the Redskins are 26th in the District One 4A power rankings.

SOUDERTON 2, ARCHBISHOP CARROLL 2 (2OT)
The Indians found themselves on the short end of a 1-0 halftime score but erased that in a hurry when Tyler Bovell and Kyle Russell each scored a goal within a two-minute span 11 minutes into the second half. TJ Hibsman assisted on both.
“We went in at halftime, made a couple changes, came out and started off the second half really well,” coach Matt Benner said. “We scored off a corner kick in the 51st, and in the 53rd, we got a ball out wide and played our forward (Russell) in. He took a couple touches, got behind the defense and scored to the far post.”
Carroll knotted the score in the 67th minute. That tie stood the rest of the way.
“It was a team effort,” Benner said. “We had some guys move forward and put some pressure on their backs. We played well as a group. We responded after a first half that wasn’t our best performance.”
Mitchell Race recorded seven saves in net for the Indians.
Souderton (2-13-2, 2-8-1 SOL) will travel to Quakertown for Thursday’s regular season finale (7 p.m.).

BENSALEM 1, COUNCIL ROCK NORTH 0
It was a night to remember for the Owls, who honored their 14 seniors prior to the game and then went out and earned a hard-fought win over the Indians. The win was number seven of the season – the most for the Owls in more than a decade.
“It was nice – a lot of the girls remembered other girls’ Senior Nights when they barely won games,” coach Bob Crawford said. “Now we’re sitting at a little bit over .500 (in the conference). The girls are excited, and we still have a hope. Our season isn’t over yet.”
The Owls are 29th in the latest District One 4A power rankings with two games remaining.
“It’s tough because any team can seem to beat almost any team on any given day,” Crawford said. “Right now we’re on the outside looking in. Hopefully, tomorrow we can pull out a ‘W,’ and maybe we can move up.”
In the first half, senior Alyssa Groves turned an Emily Wineburg cross into the game’s only goal.
“It was really nice,” Crawford said. “Emily Wineburg put a ball across – I’m going to say it was about 30 yards out. She has a monster foot, and she put one in the box. Alyssa finished it.
“It was a back and forth game. They had their chances at times. It was almost like a game of waves. We would have pressure for 5-7 minutes and the next thing you’d know they were having pressure 5-7 minutes. It was an evenly matched game. They’re a really good team. They’re a tough team.”
Crawford credited the efforts of several players.
“Sydney Miller came out and was just up and down the field from defense to offense and just really did a nice job,” the Owls’ coach said. “Of course, Alyssa Groves with the goal. My center backs – Emily Wineburg and Samantha Crawford – did a good job. Karleigh Hund, our defending mid, had a fantastic game. My whole defense did a great job – Tommi Haffner.”
Rock North coach Gavin Flannigan had good things to say about the game and his squad.
“We enjoyed the occasion tonight, there was a good crowd under the lights, and although the score didn’t go our way, I thought we played very well at times,” the Indians’ coach said. “There are a few girls that haven’t played as much recently. It was great to see them look as sharp as they did tonight.
“I thought Chloe Hill and Anna Cairone played well. They were extremely composed and tried their best to keep the ball and build the attack. Sarah Khantzian was aggressive in goal tonight. That’s something we have been asking her to work on and it showed.
“Credit to Bensalem. I think Bob has done a great job in a short period of time. They are organized, they know their strengths and they compete for everything. We knew going in that the playoffs were out of our reach. We play South tomorrow, and we definitely want to finish on a high.”
Bensalem (7-7-2, 6-5-1 SOL) will travel to Ridley for a non-league game on Wednesday, and Council Rock North (7-9-1, 4-7-1) will take on Council Rock South on Thursday at 3:30 p.m.

Neshaminy will travel to Pennsbury on Thursday for a contest that will determine the conference champion. Heading into the final conference game, the Falcons hold a one-point lead over the Redskins.
Emily Tantala’s two-goal effort led the Redskins, who also received single goals from Brooke Mullin, Michaela Boyd and Mel Prinos.
