NORTH PENN 9, PENNSBURY 8
The visiting Knights opened up a 7-5 halftime lead and held on to eke out the important conference win.
“We had to dig deep tonight after an exhausting game last night,” coach Heather Mellow said of her team’s 12-8 win over CB South 24 hours earlier. “But our team rose to the challenge once again. This team is playing with a lot of heart right now.”
Junior goalie Ashley Lambert had a big game for the Knights, finishing with seven saves and four interceptions.
“Ashley made some big saves and some important interceptions that kept sparking our team,” Mellow said.
Grace Sacchetti (three goals, four draw controls) and Lily Szilagyi (three goals, two assists) led the Knights. Adding single goals were Brooke Millevoi, Shannon Haedrich (one assist) and Emily Varilla (one assist). Haedrich also had four caused turnovers and Varilla had three draw controls. Kristin Varilla added an assist.
North Penn (7-5, 5-0 SOL) will host Parkland in a non-league game on Saturday, and Pennsbury (10-2, 3-2) will travel to Pennridge on Monday.

CENTRAL BUCKS WEST 16, COUNCIL ROCK SOUTH 8
Casey Reichwein had another big night for the Bucks. The Michigan-bound senior not only had five goals and one assist to lead the attack, she also dominated play in the midfield with 12 draw controls.
Tori Albrecht and Abby Natoli each had two goals. Adding one goal each were Lindsey Horton, Shelby Hahn (one assist), Julia Carey and Shannen Roy.
Central Bucks West (6-4, 4-0 SOL) will host Spring-Ford in a non-league game Friday. Council Rock South (4-7, 2-3) will be on the road at Archbishop Wood on Friday for a non-league game.
CENTRAL BUCKS SOUTH 19, COUNCIL ROCK NORTH 8
Anna Green continued her torrid offensive production, scoring nine goals and assisting on four others. She also had 10 draw controls for the Titans, who led 9-6 at halftime and added to that advantage in the second half.
Tegan Mullin added four goals and an assist while Francine Richick had three goals, three assists and five draw controls in a solid all-around outing. Bridget Curtis had one goal and two assists as well as three draw controls. Janessa Watson and Kate Victor both contributed a goal and an assist.
Olivia Himmelstein had four caused turnovers, Erin Mayeros added a pair of caused turnovers.
Titan goalie Katelyn Wendling recorded seven saves in the win.
For the Indians, Morgan McCaffrey’s hat trick led the attack, and Chloe Ondria added a pair of goals. Adding single goals were Grace Vliet, Lucy Breithaupt and Nikki Jackson.
Central Bucks South (4-7, 2-3 SOL) will host Downingtown East in a non-league game Friday, and Council Rock North (1-9, 0-5) will be on the road at West Chester Rustin for a non-league game Monday.

PLYMOUTH WHITEMARSH 13, SOUDERTON 8
The Colonials opened up an early lead and never relinquished it, going on to earn their first conference win.
“I think the whole team played well,” PW coach Ellen Reilly said. “I had kids who weren’t here over Easter break, and I have some kids injured. I have a bunch of kids that are just trying their best, I had a couple of young kids playing because of kids not being there, and they’re just working hard, doing what I’m asking them to do.
“I’m glad they got the win because I think they deserve it after a couple of the games we lost by one goal.”
The Colonials took an 8-4 lead into halftime, and the Indians took a hit when they lost Riley McGowan.
“Riley McGowan got two yellow cards, and one of their other players got a card,” Reilly said. “It could have been due to frustration because we took a pretty good lead on them.
“The only reason we took the lead was because my center, Max (Lesczyznski), did a really good job on the draws. She won possession, and my kids were able to maintain possession and put it in the net to give us the lead.
“Max has really been working on that because in the first couple of games we played possession was key. Today she did a great job. I think she only lost two draws out of all of them. It dominated the game because it gave us possession.”
Lesczynzski also led the Colonials’ attack with five goals and one assist while Lex Petrakis had four goals. Kennedy Reardon had a hat trick and Raquel Baskin added one goal.
For the Indians, McGowan – who will continue her lacrosse career at Temple University, led the attack with four goals, including the 200th of a stellar career.
“Riley is most deserving of hitting this exceptional high school lacrosse achievement of 200 goals,” coach Nancy Offner. “Her outside shot is very powerful and accurate and what most people remember after playing against her. However, Riley has quite impressive finesse shots as well. She works hard and it’s exciting to see her achieve her goals.”
In addition to McGowan, Randi Hess had a pair of goals while Sydney Rohrbach had one goal and one assist and Kylie Norbeck added a single goal. Sophia Sclafani and Lauren Kenah each had one assist.
“Souderton had their runs,” Reilly said. “They came back. It might have been 5-1, but they caught up. Even in the second half, at one point, it was 11-8 us, and they were still fighting back, but we would win the draw, and my kids would take time off the clock. Eventually, it got to the point where they had to come out and pressure us, and we went one on one and scored a couple of goals to give us the buffer.”
Lauren Scott was credited with nine saves in goal for the Indians.
Plymouth Whitemarsh (3-7, 1-3 SOL) will host Upper Dublin on Wednesday, and Souderton (7-6, 3-3) will host Perkiomen Valley in a non-league game on Friday.

UPPER DUBLIN 16, WISSAHICKON 10
The Flying Cardinals raced out of the gate to a seemingly commanding 9-1 lead, but the Trojans battled back before the Cards seized control for once and for all.
“Any time you play Wissahickon, it’s a neighborhood rivalry,” UD coach Dee Cross said. “I know they’ve been having a great season – they had only had one loss up to this point. It was just a really good team effort.”
Coming up big for the Cardinals was Jackie Rama, who scored four goals but more importantly had 15 draw controls, allowing the Cardinals to control play.
“I’m not sure if that’s a school record – it might be,” Cross said. “She just did a phenomenal job of getting us the ball. That allowed us to be able to set stuff up and in the second half take time off the clock.
“There was a lot of running for our midfielders up and down the field, and the draw controls helped us get control of the game.”
The Cardinals, who led 9-4 at halftime, held just a 7-6 edge in the second half.
“I thought we had a great practice yesterday, and the girls were ready,” Cross said. “Any time in a lacrosse game, there’s a momentum switch at some point in time. I knew it was going to happen.
“Even if they would score two or three in a row, we would be able to get one to keep that lead.”
In addition to Rama, Mack Moore had a team high six goals and two assists. Julia Reardon had four goals and three assists.
“Julia Reardon is improving with each game, so I was really pleased with her work on attack and how she’s gaining more confidence, which we really needed today,” Cross said.
Adding one goal and two assists was Jenn McCarry. Allie Rock had one goal while Becky Browndorf had a pair of assists.
“Becky did not score today, which was probably the first game she has not,” Cross said. “She’s just all over the field, and we didn’t need her to score today.
“She’s the person that holds the team together on both ends of the field, so that says a lot for her not scoring. We still need her out there to be a leader. She helped us at both ends of the field and helps us keep control.”
UD goalie Riley Brady recorded 13 saves in the win.
“That was kind of deceptive – when they went on their run, she was having trouble seeing the ball,” Cross said. “By the end of the game, she was just steady and would come up with a big save when we needed it.
“Today was all about timing and stopping momentum, and we were able to do that either with a good check, a caused turnover, an interception or a goal or a save, and it just kind of happened when we needed it.”
Sophia Chioda Ortiz led the Trojans with five goals while Sam Intrieri had a pair.
Upper Dublin (8-4, 4-1 SOL) will travel to Plymouth Whitemarsh on Wednesday, and Wissahickon (9-2, 4-1) will take on Springside Chestnut Hill Academy on Saturday at the Katie Samson Festival.

UPPER MORELAND 17, SPRINGFIELD TOWNSHIP 9
Upper Moreland opened up a 7-4 halftime lead and then outscored its host 10-5 in the second half en route to the conference win.
Bryanna Gordon and Emma Meakim each scored five goals to lead the Golden Bears. Meakim also had three assists and Gordon had two. Megan O’Donnell contributed a goal and three assists while Cassidy Hirsch had one goal and four draw controls. Moira Olexa added two goals, one assist and five draw controls. Alexis Lamb had a pair of goals, and AbbyEllen Wood had one. Cat Morrow had one draw control.
For the Spartans, Maddie Yoder led a balanced attack with four goals to go along with four draw controls. Emily Walsh added a hat trick as well as three draw controls and one ground ball. Ella Marino had a pair of goals and one ground ball. Emily Smith contributed eight draw controls, one ground ball and one caused turnover. Also contributing were Gracie Woron (two ground balls, one caused turnover), Sophie Perry (two assists), Lauren Corrado (two ground balls), Molly McGoldrick (two caused turnovers) and Ellie Lynch (one ground ball).
Sarah Pickard had six saves in goal for the Golden Bears while Annie Ryan had eight stops in goal for the Spartans.
Upper Moreland (9-2, 5-0 SOL) will travel to Jenkintown Friday for a non-league game, and Springfield Township (4-6, 1-5) will be on the road at Lower Moreland for a non-league contest Thursday.

Gabrielle Liott and Cam Ryan combined for 13 goals to lead the Hatters to the conference win. Liott scored a game high seven goals while Ryan had six goals and one assist. Cam Hughes, Gianna Belfatti and Megan Acker each scored one, and Sophia Liott added an assist.
Arielle Hammer had six saves on eight shots in goal for the Hatters.
The defense of Sorrell Long, Lexi Gill, Jess Shaffer and Megan Acker limited Quakertown to three goals, and the midfield of Gabrielle Liott, Cam Ryan and Sophia Liott dominated the circle, taking 16 of 21 draws.
Hatboro-Horsham (5-5, 2-3 SOL) will host Pennridge on Wednesday (7 p.m.), and Quakertown will host Abington on Monday.
ABINGTON 13, CHELTENHAM 1
The Ghosts took an 8-0 lead into halftime and never looked back in Wednesday’s conference game against their neighboring rival.
Thirteen players had a hand in 13 goals. Abby Thomas led a balanced attack with three goals and one assist, and Jamira Mashore had two goals and one assist. Contributing one goal each were Sam Raymond, Kaley Ehnow, Jill Poppert, Abby Johnson, Grace Hinkle, Maura Cabry, Sydney Furlong and Lilly Allessandro. Kelly McCallister dished out three assists while Sam Simon and Maddie Hinkle each contributed an assist.
Ellie Hughes recorded two saves in goal in the win.
Abington (9-2, 4-0 SOL) will take on Friends Central in a non-league game on Saturday as part of the Katie Samson Festival.

Fiona Henderson found herself in the spotlight in the Patriots’ no-doubt-about-it win when the standout sophomore goalie recorded save number 200.
“With all the work she put in as a freshman last year, she has become an irreplaceable asset to our team,” coach Jordan Sanocki said. “Fiona is young and extremely talented – I am so grateful to be a part of what I know will be a long lacrosse career.
“Fiona puts in hours of footwork and goalie stickwork outside of practice to ensure she is improving every single day. Her passion for the sport and her love for her team is contagious. She has such a dominating presence on the field and every save that she makes pushes the team to return the favor and score a goal for her.
“Fiona has saved our butts countless times already this year and we are so thankful for her and her hard work. This milestone of 200 career saves is a huge accomplishment, but it is just the beginning. I am so proud of what she has already done, and I look forward to seeing what Fiona can achieve with the support of her team by the end of her high school lacrosse career.”
The Patriots dominated play from wire to wire on Wednesday, opening up a 9-2 halftime lead and then duplicating that in the second half when they outscored the Drakes by that identical score.
Brigitte Bishop (six goals, 11 draw controls, one ground ball) and Riley Forman (five goals, one assist, two draw controls, three ground balls) were once again a dangerous one-two punch on attack. Quinn Ferry added two goals, two assists and two ground balls. Morgan Eater had four draw controls, three ground balls and one caused turnover. Adding one goal each were Grace Bethke, Ava Lisle (one ground ball), Lindsey Thompson (one draw control, three ground balls), Abby Durr (two ground balls) and Emily Barry (one ground ball).
Also contributing for the Patriots were Kendall Hudson (one ground ball), Courtney Mackenzie (one assist), Kiki Fink (two ground balls) and Rylee Surovec (two ground balls).
Central Bucks East (8-5, 3-1 SOL) will travel to New Hope-Solebury Thursday for a non-league game.
